have not bought it and no intention of buying it, regarding some of the comments on here. unless the patch fixes the issues
konami are not getting £35 off me for a rushed game. they can swivel.

Anyone wonders why ea never has problems like these? They had the easier headers problem this year but fixed it in a week.

EA has had massive bug problems in the past. In fact FIFA manager mode was notorious for actual game-breaking bugs. Some were never fixed at all.

So yeah, they're both as bad a a each other.

PES5 is often mentioned as the best in Pro Evo series. And PES5 had no crowds and had empty stands. Coincidence? The crowd graphics and animations clearly take a toll on the action on the pitch. This time, Konami even went to the extent recreating the crowd and stand atmosphere which further worsened the situation. As long as I can hear the crowd sounds, I'm happy for Konami to stick a crowds.jpg on the stands. No animations, no variety - Just a feeling that the stadium has some life - through sounds and noise plus a dead image.
Sorry, but are you listening yourself?

I mean, there's only one company who struggle to include optimized crowd in their games.

FIFA crowd looks decent for this gen standards, and there are none slowdowns.

NBA 2K crowd looks amazing, and none slowdowns as well.

PES? Always coming with fixes, which are so cheap it's insulting for people who spent lots of money in PS3 and Xbox 360s, sometimes only for playing PES. 2D crowd? We are not in PS2 for fuck sake. One of the issues here is just bad programming skills, I'm sure.

You can give PES Team freakin' CryEngine 3 and they'll make a mess of it.

After so many years, it's so noticeable the loss of quality developers to EA 8 years ago...

PES 2014 is the only game in history where everything works just fine in Training but comes match day, everything is scripted per Konami's wishes.

I found this too. In training mode you can beat the keeper from long range, if you hit a shot good enough, but get into an actual match and they are unbeatable from virtually everywhere except one v ones, and in that situation they almost always let in a goal if you press R2.

Really ?

I remember spending 30 minutes on the Training Pitch with England, and I was constantly peppering the goal from range with Rooney and Stevie G, and nothing....... :CONFUSE:

Yeah I've hit a few that have flown in, and a couple of knuckle shots too. In fact I'm starting to think knuckle shots could be the way to go, but as I've left the game until the patch then hopefully I won't need to resort to that!

Interesting editing going on over at Daymos' site for the 360 version, looks like he's managed to modify the actual game to be able to make his own footballs, vastly detailed kits and the potential is there for new stadiums. Sounds promising. He's already showing pictures of the official Premier League ball, for example, complete with PL logos etc. Amazing.

Jeez, me neither. There are only a very few select players that I've ever seen nail that particular technique. I certainly don't want that type of strike par-for-the-course.

I just wanted to win this game with a goal of my dream. A goal that I feel I scored, a goal that I have always managed to score in PES 2013, PES 2012, PES 2011, PES 2010 ... Not a goal directed/produced and scripted by Konami.

Because of this I had 14 shots blocked by the SUPER GOALKEEPER.
Had I just put a small touch shoot, it could have gone in, hell the keeper sometimes just touch the ball and let it go inside the box when you didn't even use much power.

But just when you power your shot, say hi to Konami's extraterrestrial goalkeeper or else it goes wide or the bar even though you felt the direction was right.

What the point of winning games that give no joy. Too much for a game engineered with emotions, emotions my foot.

What rating did GK get at the end of the game? 8.0 is my guess ;).

I have rarely see it go beyond 8 most was 8.5.

How does this rating thing work for KONAMI FFS?!

Can't they do it like IRL 1-10. LEARN from FIFA. -.-

Because training is on regular difficulty, and on it keepers are alot easier to beat from range than on professional and higher difficulty,

I don't know it is just everything. Meanwhile the lack of effort from Konami is really hard to overcome. For example i've read a Twitter message from Konami that the transfers will coming soon - that was on 2.10. I mean what the fuck is soon in this Konami world?

It seems they give a shit, really. Are they even alive? Are they hiding from us? Why are they gone so silent? You don't do that with longtime fans of your franchise.

I don't think the game is that bad and i still have fun playing it. Even with all his faults. But i can't stand the way they treat her customers anymore.

It's a shame that we only have two football games on the market.

I don't see why it's Konami's responsibility to do the transfers, especially when the tools are there for us to do it ourselves.

I think, most important, it has something to do with a nice service particularly if your game is so much behind the game of your competitor in so many things beside the gameplay and your competitor does the transfers too.

And beside that they told us they do the update.

Dude, no sports game comes without unfinished roster updates. Even pes used to update transfers officially in a week in the past.

Think you have taken the concept of placebo to another level. I tested both. No difference in term of gameplay beside of player switching response, slight tweak to shooting weight and the addition of online component (as mentioned by Adam, officialpes and the changelog).

The thing with PES is you can never replicate the same situation twice as it have too much changing variables, never fixed in any sort of form.

Also they never disclose the details on the changelog. That's why each time when a patch roll out you got different kind of feedback even though it's just a simple Copa Libertadores update.

I don't know how you can't see such a simple difference. Don't call it placebo because you don't get it. It's like some people who can't see the difference between FIFA and PES because they're both football games. Since there's no change log, it's your word against mine. Don't call it placebo just say YOU don't find the difference.

1-bar passing in pre-patch is perfect. 1-bar passing in post-patch is too assisted.

Doesn't matter. I'm saying what I want. And I think I was trying to explain what could be the problem. Why is that a certain camp here always jump at people who seem to be less critical of the game and Konami?

I'm sorry I still enjoy WE 2014.

I see no way in which slowdowns in ps3 and transfers unfinished can be defended in any way.

With all the time you spend on here complaining and getting wrapped around the axle about the same things over and over you could have made the transfers yourself;)

PES is an obsession - whether you love it or hate it. You see how much people hate and still talk so much about it. In fact, people that hate PES 2014 spend so much time slating it, you wonder if this is sort of a mental disorder. Just way too much obsessed.

You're exaggerating. Hating is when you just write remark like 'pes 2014 sucks' an that's it. People here only pointing out and discussing real issues with the game.

Because many people sees an issue here and there in the game. Just like when many people like it and you see same messages over and over and over again. ;)

Whatever issues this game has, were all brought out in the first week itself. And then you allow a couple of weeks of moaning and groaning. By any standards, what's going on here now after 5 weeks is so over the top. It's a video game for god's sake!

Anyway, I like the game. I'm happy about it. Patch could make this better or I play the unpatched version. Luckily I'm an offline player.

Have to admit I was pretty stunned by his comments and how normal he tried to bring it across.

If this was WENB, you would have been banned for weeks now.
I agree with Jimmy, you behave like an 8 year old.

There are lots of people who see the flaws of this game very obviously.

IMO the patch is make or break for Konami....we've been saying that Konami's PR department are bad, well they are fantastic...the hype they build around this broken game is a master piece...

The upcoming patch is make or break for Konami. I wonder where that asshole of a community manager is...

Oh and about rosters: they are essential for a sports game. FIFA's rosters were not up-to-date, you could immediately download the updated rosters...Konami should got a download with correct rosters on day 1. No excuse. I haven't got the time to update everything myself.
