I will put it in bigger words in case you dont see it again , ONLINE

SO by your point of view why should konami spent money in licences? If we have the tools to create the teams froms scratch, then they should just launch their game with 500 hundred teams, with default zombie faces, and with white shirts and shorts in the in the 1º and black shirt snd shorts in the 2º.

Then they will do a line up of 25 mans each team, with numbers in their names, keeper is "1" right sideback "2" etc etc... and stats all the same and everyone would spend 1 month creating the game like they want it, just because we have the TOOLS

Online? I tell You something. Konami for 6 fukin years have problems with online in Pes. It's ridiculous :FAIL:

Not following your logic but you can still play online with the game and beyond bugs and major issues with it I don't think Konami has an obligation to do the player transfers after the game is released.

Yep i know that and i definnitley agree with you, online is poor but i dont like playing the cpu, i only play with friends or online.

That´s why apart from the online experience, rosters should be actual, why should i have to play with arsenal and don´t have an updated roster?

I mostly play online with friends or MLO, but the game is so poor online and full of bugs and added to that the rosters are pre historic compared to competition

OK, I'll bite.

While Konami don't have any obligation to keep team rosters up-to-date, I think it's important that they do so for the sake of their credibility and public perception. It goes back to professionalism, or lack of it in Konami's case.

People want to play with accurate rosters. If they can't do that in PES, they will go elsewhere. Other games manage it just fine.

I think you are well wide of the mark on this one.

Okay, can't reply to everyone but I did the transfer myself about 4 weeks ago while eating a ham sandwich and some crisps. Took me about 90 minutes. Glad I did it:))

interceptions need some serious toning down

less than a month after release and ive seen pretty much everything this game has to offer. every game feels the same, every goal feels the same. just, dull.

I ain't paying £40 for a game only to sit there for an hour and a half moving players around. It's Konami's responsibility to produce a professional product that reflects the sport as accurately as possible.

As Jamezinho says, It has become a DIY game. I'll accept this if the price is more like £15 or something but it's not acceptable when they are charging the same amount as EA charge for FIFA. Gameplay aside, the difference in the quality of both packages is gargantuan.

So you still think this is acceptable:

I have had the game nearly a month. Until I decided I couldn't put up with the awful ai until a patch, I was going to start a ML. First, I wanted to have the data pack. Can't download it.

Next, I'd have to spend ages moving players around in edit mode, because there are transfers from three months before the game was released that still haven't been updated.

The music was so awful that I turned it off, so decided I was going to have to import my own mp3s to the game just to make that acceptable.

The crowd sounds are awful, so I've had to wait for a chant pack to modify that.

I have to wait for an option file for kits.

Half of these things will then need further altering when the subsequent patches, whenever they arrive, will surely screw around with people's option files.

It's really not good enough. But even they can be forgiven if the gameplay is great, but no, that needs a patch too. I can't take playing this only to see keepers palm probably 50% of all shots at goal into their own net, shooting their through on goal holding r2 has a near 100 % success rate of scoring and even the COM tries the same passing moves every single time. Chipped through passes into the corners, low passes to the near post instead of crossing the ball, etc etc.

Okay, I'll play online? Nope, everyone says that's awful, but then I can't see for myself because I can't install the data pack because Konami's politely tell me it's broken with no suggestions other than to download it off a PES fan's share site, which I can't do.

I read this morning that Data Pack 1 for 360 is FINALLY working, nearly a month after release. So, I download it, no problems, and now I get a message saying that the data pack is 'broken'.

Thanks, Konami.

Same thing happened to me but i download it again & it worked. But then when i try to go online it said "Pes servers not available, try again later" Im presuming later is next month

PES has always been a bit of DIY game. I agree though that the difference in quality between PES and FIFA is large and I think Konami are going to pay the price if they don't get their fecal matter together in the not too distant future. Still, this year on the pitch PES 2014 blows my hair back, FIFA doesn't. I should also add that I think charging full price ($59.00) in the US is too high a price for what the PES package offers anymore, but I've been saying that for about 3 years now.

It's very strange really. Take Rooney10 for example. Every day he comes on here rabble rousing and complaining about the game and the same issues over and over like no one's aware of them but him, and yet he still he keeps playing the game day in and day out. You'd think he'd have the sense to do something else with his life provides him enjoyment until the patch comes out:BRICK:

Agree, ant that applies to most of people in this thread, they come here crying like hysteric babies every damn day, but none of them stops playing it. I am sure that as soon as the patch is out they will all find new reasons to complain but all of them will keep playing and keep buying the game.

Only people trying to love the game sfter buying it, can complain. That´s how it has been since PES exists. I find hilarious that they use the same approach they had since ps2 days, without DLC´s, patches, but now, they dish out unfinished games. PES 13 had how many patches?! 4? 1.04 or 1.06?

How many till this one gets wherever they think it´s enough? 20?

Well, I am first of few who hasn't been bothered to fire up PES 2014 in recent week. not thought about it once.

Jumped to FIFA for now and started Career Mode there. At least I have Moddingway patch here + proper squads + formations. Gameplay wise, it's not bad either (much better than demo).

And have got 2 other games I play. CoH 2 and NBA 2k14 -> that one actually takes MOST of my day time. KONAMI should learn from 2k ;).

How accurate vgchartz is by the way? They even didn't get 2013 sales figure right. Stated it was under 2 million unit for all platform globally, which i believe still stay that way on their site. While actually it sold more than 6 million units according to Konami fiscal report. Possibly they (vgchartz) just didn't bother to update the figure, or maybe it's just projected or estimation on their part.

I never read anything too much in numbers anyway. Can imagine the reality is more complex.

Not bothered about any other game except PES14 15 minute games seems the way to go the 10 minute games seem to cheat me the most. Man I am feeling this game play.I just want to acclimatize myself with this game and controls and mechanics and give it a good solid run before I tamper with it by adding an option file, patch, chant pack etc.

Moved Eto over to Chelsea and while playing I thought it would be fun to take a couple of clean crisp powerful shots with Lamps from the 40 meter range. I can see myself popping one in from deep with Lampard. I may have to try out the other typical long rangers that Konami favors.

Wake up. If I'm on the other extreme, you're on the other extreme. You actually supported them not finishing transfers.

The fiscal reports tell the same story though. Pes has been losing half a million sales per year for quite a while now. It's not as bad as what vgcharts say it is though.

No surprise there. Konami must have the dumbest PR-people around. It's just amazing, some of the choices they take with their game. But I've been over this so many times before it's not really worth mentioning again, but it's just, it wouldn't have taken a lot to create a good platform for this game. Instead they give us 17 stadiums (what a laugh), unfinished gameplay, very limited editing options and a choice between "night" or "day" - give me a break, this isn't 1995.

But, it's not surprising. Konami just aren't the brightest bunch. They're just not in touch with football or footballing culture, it seems.

Agree. If Konami should not be charging full price for PES, EA should not be charging full price for FIFA because, for me, it's not even a football game. Doesn't have the basics and fundamentals of a football game. Looking polished doesn't mean the game is complete and deserves a full price from me.

Playing in the Master League, at times in certain games, you can feel your players are too slow in turning, and slowi n response...
This was happening with me as Liverpool vs Spurs at home, I go 1:0 up, but then Spurs start really taking the game to me...and by 60 minutes, they are 4:1 up.....I'm staring at a huge home defeat....
But I keep trying thinking that at least let's see what happens.
I get a scrappy goal to make it 2:4, and then 10 minutes to go 3:4.....and with the last kick of the game in 93rd minute Sturridge equalizes ....4:4 it finished.....

Yes PES has flaws and some problems, but it's a fantastic game.......this is the best PES for me for a long while....

Was this meant to be clever? My cell phone cost me 1000 pounds.

No it was meant to highlight that what you see as not important, is important to others, I use a cellphone which cost 10 pounds, I don't use IPhones, Galaxys although I can afford them.

I would pay 1000 pounds for a game of football if I had to. But I will never pay that 1000 pounds for a phone.

This is what a game of PES 2014 made me do because of the awful AI powered by Heart:

The game was so illogic that made me do this illogical reaction in split second, but I didn't care and still don't.
Few days later, I didn't have any game to play and I missed PES, I went on and got the Digital Version from PSN instead, now the bloody game is glued in my PS3 hard drive I can't stop play it although the issues frustrate me, the only hope I have is to wait for the awaited November patch, if that doesn't solve these issues, I would just give up and go buy the other game as much as I hate its playing on ice like gameplay feeling but at least I will have a near completed game with tons of features.

If someone want to get the digital version, then open an account in PSN Honk Kong and get Winning Eleven 2014 Asia version, not PES 2014. Or wait unitl nov 14th and get the Japan Version from PSN Japan.

I played PES 2014 for a week, since then I'm enjoying Winning Eleven 2014 Asia version, best football game ever.

We all are very infuriated about Konami´s latest choices and this year I think they raised the bar in the bad choices league. Last year was the special boots, other years was the invisible rain effects during gameplay etc.
At the same time, they give the right steps in the engine, though it always brings comebacks with the evolution. At least, this year´s edition looks and feels the best ever. Even EA didn´t get to this level yet. Problem is Konami launch this too early and might pay a really high price. I´m still believing this can be way better then it is, and I´ll wait to see it.
The lack of certain things is really our fault. Konami knows there are wonderfull modders who completely change the game after a few months, why should they spend millions in expensive licenses? I too would only worry with the engine and leave the rest for the modders. Part of the PES success as always been the possibility for modding, even with the current generations flaws year after year, PES has been played massivly so this is def a choice by Konami. They want to improve the gameplay as best as they can. Question is, can they do it this year? Well Konami, for your own health, I hope you can...

How do you pay for it? I've got a japanese account too but a UK based debit card, plus all the text is in japanese which don't help! Thanks
