I've seen games with more and worse bugs but still got praised to high heavens, first game with new engine, it's quite shocking amount of digs people are taking at it, it's not the game everybody wants but there will never be such a game like such, you need to enjoy it for what it is and not load up the game looking for bugs/problems, that way your pretty much going to have an awful time in almost most games you play.
The game is the best representation of football i've seen out there, be it, it has a few issues but I'm more than happy to outweigh the issues to take the game for what it is. A great football experience.

i agree. i just played three matches in which i never pressed sprint. on offense it was entirely dribbling at a walking pace with the two sticks and passing. i think in those 3 mat pches i might have entered the box 7-8 times, with perhaps a dozen crosses. and on defense, playing off the ball and positioning my players, i only iuse one button, X, to jockey, and the two sticks in close for body checking, never sprinting. possession is in my favor by about 5% on average though sometimes i get less. it lends itself to a particular type of gameplay, which at times drifts all the way to ponderous, but mainly is patient and nuanced. right now i use only one combination play--hold up for the CF, have a deep defensive line, shift to attack slowly, and give the cpu plenty of time on the ball. its not a baller's delight. but i think its exquisite. i say this noting the very real technical issues in the game.

BTW guys, this thread has been fun. Thanks for the contributions and the laughs! Thanks to all the mods and particularly Lami for keeping things on track and for banning Matty_17,he was an absolute bellend! Enjoy the game lads, it's a beaut!

For all those that have the game - do you notice a big difference in dribbling from the demo to the full version? I went into the game wanting dribbling to be toned down from what it was in 2012 and 2013 (I think the best dribbling we've seen in current gen was 2011), especially with 90 degree turns... and while they have done that, dribbling with top players like Cristiano Ronaldo seems WAY too sluggish for me - regular dribbling (not running) feels like every turn with nearly every player is like turning a tank, with players taking way too many touches to make their turn.

Again, I'm a fan of toning dribbling down, but I shouldn't feel slow with the likes of Ronaldo. Are people still seeing this problem in the final version of the game?? Or has dribbling improved since the demo?

you know what Konami did with PES2014 ..

they're like someone who wanted to re-build his house from scratch, he brought new stuff and materials, he built the new house, but he let it without furnitures, no walls painted, some messy stuff ..

PES2014 is an unfinished and untested game, they rushed just to prove they're better than FIFA ..

This game is monumentally magic.

Despite there being a couple of flaws, headers aint right, first time stuff around the box is fucked up.

It is absolutely unreal. The give and goes, the ocassional stunning flick pass, the goals, the tackles!

Im all over it.

Just absolutely smashed Hellas Verona as Lazio in a League on Professional, it all just clicked. Then got cocky and got beat. Its PES.

PES IS FUCKING BACK

Maybe this fact have nothing to do with PES controls, but many TVs had a considerable input lag. I have a LG PX950 plasma TV, it have a great input lag in most video modes, i play in PC mode to obtain best responses. Combos in Street Fighter for example are very difficult in some video modes because delay.

Has anyone had a lag free game on the ps3 yet?

Playing against the CPU is just horrible but online is a right mess it seems.
 
The game is unfinished.

It's like a demo of a demo.

I've had some truly baffling random bits of play.

When it's great it's great but most of the time it's a mess
I can't believe Konami have got another £36 out if me.

Not seeing ay of this. A few dodgy keeper errors but nothing else. Players are responsive enough, no slow-down, and I'm enjoying it immensely.

Spot on, I don't understand why people moan more than once about how they hate the game or so, it's not going to convert or change opinions.

I'm more than happy with this, i get that itch 'oh one more game' and 3 hours later, i then force myself to turn it off.

People get drawn into hype way too much.

I just read something from someone I think Diogo is his name and he is annoyed that some of the ratings for players have been lowered.

You can change it yourself. I don't understand why your angry. You can't expect everyone to agree.

Hype or no hype. This year is another year of broken promises (atleast for me). When someone pays the full price to play a game I don't blame them to expect a better game than this one is. IMO they should just release PES every two or three years since they don't have a lot of licences and are apparently not capable of updating the rosters. It's better than playing this piece of crap (still my opinion). Why doesn't 2K make a football game or even better Rockstar. Paying the same price for GTA 5 and PES (or fifa): ridiculous.

Just had the strangest game, the AI completely rolled over for me. I had to check to see if it was on Top Player after as it felt like Regular. 5-1 with the default ML team in my first league match....some of goals their defence literally stood and watched me. Felt unnervingly easy.

Confused as I was being relentlessly outplayed all of yesterday when I was on it. This one was my first game today and I didn't have to try. Might be a ML bug?

I would say don't trust the CPU. It's a typical situation in ML winning 5-0, then playing the next game with over-confidence only to get hammered 4-0.

For the ones still not believing in input lag, yes he´s there. I´m loving the game so far, but I do have input lag, and the worse is when I try to change players in defence. Tried diferent settings in graphcis but nothing changed that.

It´s too bad, cause I really love the game, it´s all about real soccer, and I still think it´s the best soccer game up to date.

I know i can change them myself but those changes won't take effect online. And I can't change all of the player stats, I can't take the game stats seriously with so many players with ratings so far away off reality. That isn't even my main concern. I played 7 online matches, lost 3, draw 1, won another 3 and they all lagged so much that it was unplayable. In MLO I was waiting for an opponent to connect and while it was loading his name, the matchmaking defaulted to the main menu and I lost that supposed "match" 3-0. I have a stable internet connection that enables me to play pretty much any game without lag.

Maybe I have the worst possible combination of console, tv screen, and internet... or maybe Konami released an unfinished product and charged 70 euros for it. Many people won't agree with me and I only wish I could see the qualities they admire in the game.

@Niurez

Please understand that the "Super Elite" posters will only answer your questions/statements if it serves their best interests.

PES is not for everybody and PC gaming is the only way forward to not feel ripped/jipped/and raped from your hard earned money. The console producers/makers will continually punish Console players with high prices and half done ports. Be prepared to spend/pay/play PES on PC if you truly want the best from this product.

I have PES 6 Installed on a PC with just 3 gigs System RAM manufactured in 2009 that plays just as good as FIFA 13 on a new PC with 8 gigs system ram manufactured in 2013.


Result= instant Jizz everytime i double click/fire up my PC

god, I hate this game. Can't dribble, can't shoot, can't keep the ball, just got beat by Celtic at home (on professional!!) 5-1....

I can't wait to love this game.
