ok I had to up my pass assistance to one bar. This coming from someone who had 80%+ accuracy on 0 bar online for PES2013. I just cant get the ball to go where it needs to on 0 assist for this game.

I cant play little dinks and very few short passes go where they need to. Its almost always overpowered.

Same here, I can't get on with zero bar assist. One bar is good for me. Pro footballers can make short passes in their sleep so I don't see why I should struggle on full manual.

-sometimes near the touchline players will kick the ball in the opposite direction im pressing
-my shots go somewhere inbetween the 18 yard line & the corner flag, wtf is the range on the analogue stick??

Rumour has it this is written on page 14 of the PES 2014 user manual:

"Please note that depending on the type of your television, you may find that your controller inputs may be out of sync with on screen visuals"

No wonder there are so many different experiences being reported with this game

All this means is that LCD TVs have varying amounts of input lag. By input, I mean video input. So the video feed from your console does not appear on the screen immediately after it leaves the console, there is a delay of between 10-60ms. This, plus the game code reaction time to controller input, determines the delay between you pressing a controller button and the corresponding action being seen on the TV.

This is the case for all games on LCD TVs. It's not unique to PES. The input lag on plasma TVs and computer monitors is often negligible.

I loved the demo and I even said to my long time PES fan (we both are) brother that PES 2014 had the best gameplay I ever experienced on a football game. With the full game since release day my expectations were crushed. This is a major disappointment. Online is unplayable due to intense lag and input lag, it's near impossible to have an online game being unplayable in late 2013 but Konami did it. The player stats are the worst I have ever seen on my life. Amazing players like Thiago Silva/ Lamm and others had their stats reduced... why ? Weak teams stats are abysmal. Shitty strikers from Arabian teams have over 80 average, low teams on Portuguese League have players in certain positions better than the main players of Real Madrid and Barcelona (Paços de Ferreira's André Leão is 3 points better then Essien!). I have zero interest in playing a Mastear League when a shitty team from Vietname has 4 better players then my top 4 Portuguese team.

Add to that the worst PES soundtrack of all time, the list of only 15 stadiums and the horrible faces and you have a friendly gamespot review. Having a 1/10 of the official faces of PES 2013 is an enbarassment. Having the default face players looking absolutely nothing like the real ones (player that look like walter white in real life have more hair than david luiz in the game).

I WILL NOT BUY PES 2015! This is sickening. I defended PES with a lot of passion all my life but this is preposterous.

Anyone else unable to take low yet powerful shots? I'm using Advanced shooting and whenever I try to take a low shot, it's so damn weak, even with player who have strong shooting power.

When I read this it lets me know how hard a job both Konami and EA have at their hands. I have a very aged a subtle cheese to go with that wine/whine.

The real life game is SO GLOBAL, The emotions so Real. The GAME and the PEOPLE that follow it are the fabric that make up LIFE. No one will ever be satisfied..........And that's why I follow the sport with a passion only rivaling the LOVE that I have for my kids.

You have to fill bar for weak shot & little power for strong shot unless you are playing top player then do the oppsite for superstar level only if shot power rating is above 78, players emotions & contextuality are also applicable

Does this game actually have some kind of dynamic lighting going on? I played a game earlier at around mid-day UK time in the Estadio de Escorpião, daytime, set to summer, and the graphics looked fantastic. Pitch had loads of detail, the lighting was soft, orangey lighting like old dusk matches used to have. I then played the game at about 6pm, same settings and stadium, and the lighting is now harsh sunshine and the pitch is a different shade with less detail.

Maybe I've been playing for too long today

yes and one bar has plenty of give to keep me honest, i still get much lower accuracy than cpu. at least i can string two passes between vidic and carrick without it looking like i am wearing mittens or they are wearing galoshes.

Agreed. I spend half the game executing passes that miss the mark, but when I get them right and create something that ends with a good shot on goal it feels superb and very rewarding. Same with manual shooting. Really feels like I'm putting in the effort like a real game.

My main concern with the game right low is that the running speed (with the ball) is way too fast. This breaks the flow of the game, as it is too easy for the AI and the human player to break the lines (helped by the poor containing positioning).
If sprinting was "3/4 speed", and double-tapping the sprint button was "sprinting", everything would be much better.

On side note, I must admit, I had a wry grin at those who didn't like the game initially. I always feel the best PES games are the ones that require a learning curve for them to click. Anything that appears amazing from the offset, probably hasn't been changed enough or isn't deep enough.

The great PES titles have never offered instant gratification.

Totally agree.

Thankfully, Zero, after a lot of practice is now reaping it's rewards.

In saying that, I find there is plenty of user error on 1-Bar, it's not as easy as it has been previously.

I've never played a game in my life, PC or console, where I've had to ass around with the picture settings just to make the response less pathetic. As I posted on the PC forum, this game is only 60% finished. The 60% part is the basis for the best footy game ever but the 40% is nowhere near pes6 in terms of playability, etc. Konami should be embarrassed at the bugs and incompleteness of this game.

i too have had enough of the catch up bug, unresponsive slow motion movement of players, feeling totally not in control of the player around the box, the only thing i like in the game are the animations, but that's it, i'm having too many random bugs happening during play, the catch up bug is very very annoying, i'm afraid it's back to fifa for another year.
