Holy fuck shit people waiting with their fingers hovering over the board to nail Konami asap. looks like the Fifa trolls are in full effect this year. Good news for fans of the Konamis I suppose. Do FIFA really pay people to go on the net and slate the competition?
If konami released this they would still complain.
And I am sorry but if you dont see the difference between 2014 and 2013 then you dont play PES on consoles, simple as

I can understand you being slightly upset but I am surprised at the fact your rushing to get the newest console's so soon, especially when as you pointed out the PS3 is in a healthy position with games, GTA5 is a current gen game, as is GT6 and so are yearly titles like PES and WWE which are games im interested in which makes it an easy decision for me to wait a year for all of these before needing to upgrade because normally the lack of library available on a launch console as well as the prices and latest software being extortionate with both likely to come down along with the yearly franchises like PES and WWE moving onto the newer platforms.
Konami have said the new engine is 'scalable' so its not been build with just current gen in mind, im sure there already working on PES15 too.

Well if the launch line up isn't that great I will delay buying. I've just saved a bit at a time now for a year so I have the rare luxury of being able to buy if I want on day 1. I usually have no choice but to wait until the price drops a year or so in so its kinda exciting to have the chance for day 1 purchase.
I just would have liked the option to play on next gen. I want a new machine and all the excitement that comes with it so its just a let down to find a favourite isn't going to be available. Gives me less reasons to buy next gen.

Even if the gameplay video looks good, people will complain...and even if the game is epic, people will find at least a few things to complain about. I have no problem with flaws being discussed about something.
I'm not talking about being blindly seeing the positive side of everything but it's about what you focus on when you speak. In general, a lot of people that complain on forums don't balance any discussion but just whinge like spoilt little brats who have a sense of entitlement to everything.
I understand why some people might have been expecting something more mind blowing from the screenshots but let's see the trailer and gameplay before we throw the baby out with the bath water...

Just weighing in on this Next Gen debate, it would much less of an issue if both consoles were backwards compatible. Well at least for those people who are getting rid of their old consoles or don't have room to keep both in their gaming area.
I know someone who is only buying an Xbox One on release because he loves Forza and it's not coming out on 360. For those who are planning a launch day purchase, are you wanting a new console for the sake of a particular game or for other reasons?
I would have thought that if the games you like aren't ready yet that you wouldn't just buy the console on launch day regardless.
I think it's a smart move from Konami to release a next gen version later on and hopefully capitalise on feedback from PES 2014 and then make a next gen game that can fully utilise the hardware. Just making a higher res version of PES 2014 would no doubt result in more work and more lost time that could have been better served elsewhere.
FIFA has a well established customer base - if PES released a game head to head with FIFA 14 on the new consoles, it won't automatically translate into PES eroding FIFA's sales. And if you're a PES only player and really dislike FIFA, will you now sell your old console knowing that you have to buy FIFA if you want to play a football game if you have a next gen console only?
There will be people that buy new consoles on launch, but realistically, I and many more will not be buying one for at least a year, unless prices are very similar to current consoles and stock is readily available and games are well priced.
Movies on Blu Ray haven't eliminated DVD's yet have they...

Yeah but us PC players are still going to be stuck with the shit memory constraints of current gen consoles as Konami aren't going to add stuff that takes advantage of PC power until next year with their next-gen version.
I'm really disappointed with their parochial mindset.
Fuck knows I'm not going to play whatever shit-heap EA releases on PC again...so hopefully a 3rd party developer gets into the football video-game market(2K please).

I remember one of pesgaming.com member cried out loud for this type of strategy/tactics to be implemented in a football game. Yet, many people seems to understate it/him. Now, look what we are going to have

No most multiplatform games are marketed and demo'd on a pc to get the average joe saying wow this game looks cool and then get duped into buying it and playing on sub par graphics levels compared to the demo they saw of the game.

If Konami were to release a next-gen version on the XBone/PS4 and exclude the PC version as EA have done with FIFA14, then I would be annoyed. It is what it is however - Konami aren't going next-gen this year on any format so I don't feel excluded as a PC player.
While what you said is true regarding the hardware limitations of current consoles, it's not as if the PC version really suffers from it. Out-of-the-box, PES2013 on PC looks substantially better than the console counterparts and can run at crazy frame rates. Fully patched it is like a different game and leaves FIFA standing.
If PES2014 brings better gameplay and improved animations then I think we are in for a very good PC version indeed.

Hell yeah. This a massive part of the game that needs a complete overhaul from its stripped out state. If PES2014 ML still has scouts doing my transfers for me, internationals are a day before a club match, I have five or six home games in a row and my player form is completely nonsensical then I'm going to calmly eject the game disc, stand up, pull down my pants and do a massive dirty protest.
And I ain't kiddin'. Right there. A massive shit.
you´re lying, you like to suffer... if the game is perfect that you will probably do that you´re saying but if the game have many flaws you will be fully satisfied grumbling and complaining.
It'd be too late to protest as you'd have already bought/gotten the game man.

You know what haven't been keeping track of this game like previous years but thimgs look more encouraging this year with FINALLY a new engine.
This press release was positive for the talk of freedom of play which both football games lack. Graphics are secondary for me as its all about gameplay/animations/ai going forward.
Look forward to seeing proper gameplay footage. pes 14 game as a total package ml, league mode, leagues etc...could be a deal breaker for me.
