Sure, we all want a real-football looking game, but I'm sure nobody would have hope for that until the EDGE magazine said "close to photo-realistic" graphics. That messed up the expectations. I think it's better to keep a low profile and then shock people than to hype people up and then let them down which, in my humble opinion, is what happened now with these screenshots looking so similar to PES 2013.
Do you reckon the Pre-E3 will show us some ingame videos? even if short ones...
Yea, can't see him lasting too long in that position. Definitely not a "community relations" type of person.

League mode, ML, edit mode, online, when will we know about all these? I hope soon and not late because I'm too eager. Need to know they were handled and enhanced. I care about these a lot.

I'm surprised at some of the negativity towards the decision to release PES2014 solely on current-gen platforms. There is no precedent for Konami releasing PES on a brand new console.
PES5 didn't hit the Xbox360 in 2005 - we had to wait another year for PES6 to be the first 'next-gen' PES, and a further year for the PS3 debut with PES2008.
If I recall correctly, PES1 came a year after the launch of the PS2.
As others have said, it makes good business sense to hold back from the XBOne/PS4 until the install base is big enough to make development worthwhile for these platforms. Also you should remember that PES has a big following in developing countries where people aren't going to be buying new consoles for a long time.
For me I'm not too bothered about having to wait another year. If PES2014 brings better gameplay and improved animations then I'm happy with that. On the PC it already looks stunning at 1080p, 60fps - these two things are the missing pieces of the puzzle.
I suppose he thinks he's still a forum moderator.
He needs to realize it's not worth to reply to ALL the mentions,

You wait and see how much FIFA 14 will sell on next gen. Rest assured, you'll eat your words.
Don't see "Scott" as being a "community person" that needs relating to.
Thinking better, now I kind of undestand why Adam replies to every single tweet. Adam has been invited to playtest for years, he always replied to everyone who asked anything about the game, he's been doing this for years, h's used to it.
But now he needs to realize that he is on a completely different position, he can and should not respond to everyone, specially some trolls. And he really needs to stop acting as if he works for Konami for years and he is so directly involved with PES 2014 development, this is not the case.
Are you guys following Adam's twitter right now ? It's going crazy, look at this..:
First year? So there might be hope for PC Fifa next year then. For now though, PES 14 is looking amazing - if the gameplay is as far ahead of Fifa 'CG' gameplay as the graphics are, I'm sold.
that guy scott is an idiot.
he didn't see acutal screenshots than those few low res we got today and he's judging the whole game's graphics and licences based on those few pics.
poor guy.

That's poor form. He's got to be more professional than that now he's working in an official capacity with Konami.
Imbeciles will never be in short supply on Twitter. Rise above it.
I loved the sound of the press release and thought the lighting in the Bayern entrance screenshot was very natural.
If visuals are only slightly improved but the gameplay freedom has really opened up then I'll still be a happy man. Being able to control the ball in more ways and set up shooting opportunities with different touches coupled with better animations (hopefully extending to natural looking goalkeeper animations) is enough to make my ears prick up with attention.
If the ball also moves through the air with extra realism I'll be very impressed. Bring on the gameplay vids!
p.s. What's peoples take on the "bespoke animations"? While I assume it means the contact will drive the animation, does it mean there is a larger base of animations to draw upon, or that the engine will make up the animation on the spot?
Team Play: Via the new game’s innovative Combination Play users can set up a variety of different tactics in key areas of the pitch using three or more players. These players will make very different off-the-ball runs to exploit holes in the defence or midfield, using the flanks, curved runs, or overlapping play to make themselves available. These moves can be preset to key areas of the field, allowing users to exploit defensive weaknesses beforehand.
