PES 2014 Discussion Thread

Bottom line is, Konami know what to do and have in the past made great football games. That experience and knowledge coupled with a new, much less restrictive engine means they are pretty much guaranteed to produce a football game with PES 2014 that meets or exceeds the quality of PES 3-6.

:CONFUSE: really ???? theyve failed terribly for 6 years now. they wont just magically make a great game because of a new engine

anyway, i dont care who is helping them as long it they actually help. konami have needed input from an actual pes player/westerner for too long now

so long as he's told them about.
1.- player switching it really needs fixing seriously
2.- also the AI defensively of team mates, due to player switching not working properly, also they do not respond to loose balls either standing still or running away, (joke)
3.-gives us more control over gks 1v1s and throw outs. in 1v1s against gks if you run across them you can score 99 times out of 100.
4.- give us full control of players you are supposed to be controlling, no more rails and no invisible walls.
5.- reduce scripting and remove scripting from online ranked matches.
6.- limit online how many times a person can select real madrid. say twice every ten matches or give them reduced points for a win. because the sheer scripting and bias towards them in this game is unbelieveable. i am dreading if they win the CL, they will be unplayable in this game.
7.- bring back league mode.
8.- if we cannot have official licence of teams or stadiums give us the ability to create everything in edit mode.

if the above come true i will be a happy chappy, but i seriously doubt it. remember its konami.
One step forward two steps back seems to be there motto.

I think the last 6 games were poor because of the engine they were using and the lack of investment, not because of a lack of input from westerners. Seems like with the new engine and investment(by the sounds of it) Konami should be able to get back to form. Nothing to do with one persons sudden injection into the company:LOL: The lads who work for Konami in Japan know how to make a great football game.

The best move Konami in edit mode? They have to buy licenses from Juce with Kitserver and implement into Pes. Tool automatically will install on HDD when you put disc into console. Then make special web site to create fast :

1) Faces
2) Kits
3) balls
4) stadiums
5) Boots
6) Scoreboards

Users can create nice patches on web site and make available to everybody. Then You will copy patch to pendrive and install on Kitserver on console.

I think Konami again made the wrong decision this year. Should not this soon to pronounce that the new engine with edge. It may be wrong because from that day to this, the fans create too high and unrealistic expectations. They are sure that new engine will solve the problems.
Hopefully to have not very unpleasantly surprised when all will becomes more clear what will be the actual game.

No. They just revealed their new tech and proud of it.

That's all.

We're yet to see any of it.

Kitserver is read the code of PES exe, read the afs , map of files... Are you really so " smart " to belive that Konami CAN'T built some tool like kitserver, to HACK they own PES exe, when they are CODDING that PES exe and that why need to buy Kitserver ...? dude ... OK , Let me ask you another way ! Why Konami need to encode ALL files in img or afs ,when simply everything might be in folders, directories ? Or why they need to release the game with fake names and kits ? Why they just don't give us original OF and stuff ? :OOOH:

C'mon guys, at least we have seen a bit about the new engine capabilty to produce such a face we saw in edge article, so much better and different from PES 2013 graphic style. At least, from animation and graphic point of view, we are promised with a new experience football gaming.

However, talking about gameplay.. it is someting else, i just don't want to expect something mind blowing :P

C'mon dude You don't understand me :)) Konami have to have create Creation Center on special website. Then make universal tool like Juce created Kitserver. The rest will make community. Konami should be more smart to create something. Do You know what i mean? Uniwersal tool in edit mode. I didn't say exactly the same tool like Kitserver but tool very similar in action but in legal way. Right now we have very primitive and archaic edit mode in game wihout any good universal tool to create kits, balls etc. Ea didn't have experiance with edit but created much more comfortable tool in Fifa like Creation Center than we have for years in Pes. Creation Center is illegal? C'mon Ea are smart 100% more than Konami.

I know what I'm doing lons_pl.

If you read correctly, you'll know I'm not overhyping the game. I'm saying exactly what I'm saying. No more, no less.

I'll put them in points to be more clear:

1. They want to listen to Adam. You'll be happy.
2. No more past mistakes. You'll be happy.
3. New engine. New game. New expectations.

That is all.
Good. It's time to clarify how a company should learn from her mistakes, and this optimisme from you, who everyone here respect because of your words, it's a fair hype.
Obviously, after 7 years, nothing will be forgiven.

Hints of creation center?

having people create options files and share them on unrelated websites (to konami) is one thing, but to have a creation centre inherently linked with the game that would have EPL kit licenses etc. seems a bit..... on the thin rope

if there no legal problems with this however, then hell yeah!

most fifa users (and probably a lot of pes people... maybe) dont know you about option files and getting official kits, and even if they did, downloading some random file to usb and transferring etc etc might be off putting. but if its right in the game—all that user content (with the best being highly ranked and most prominent)—is much more convenient and complimentary

May I remind people here (not to be pessimistic, I'm a HUGE PES fan, one of the few that enjoyed 2013 as well) that while it is exciting that we are getting a new engine and it opens up to lots of new capabilities and all, BUT Konami has stated that it will only use PARTS of the new FOX engine. It is based on the FOX engine, but not entirely the FOX engine.

So with that in mind, don't get over the top with hopes of what it will or can be because those images from EDGE magazine are from the full FOX engine which PES will not be using (I don't know which parts they are using, but I doubt things happen so perfectly). Just my two cents as I feel that people tend to get over hyped about new engines and have unreal expectations, then when the actual news comes out, we'll have loads of people bashing Konami for failing here and there, when it is really their expectations that were out of proportion.

Engines are created by using different engines and technologies, KONAMI are aware of their needs from the FOX engine. Kojima didn't make his engine just for Pro Evo, it just happened so, that KONAMI are now using his creation to make their Pro Evo engine. There are tons of games that are using the "fundametal" part of Unreal Engine, so they can create one for their exact needs.
You can not not be hyped for a new engine, Pro Evo didn't have new tech in this generation and we are all aware with the limitations of the ps2-ps3 engine.

Personally, I'm awaiting difference just like the one with FIFA, PS2 to PS3. The game visuals changed drastically, but the general gameplay remained unchanged.

3. New engine. New game. New expectations.

That is all.

Lami, said it. You just cant disagree with this.

Hopefully. For console users this would be a massive step forward.

Think of the storefront in Forza Motorsport, for example, and how that allows players to share paint jobs and car set-ups. Something similar in PES would allow sharing of created kits, stadia, etc...

Thay are using fox engine for graphics elements such as faces, stadiums, pitch textures, lighting, body and kits textures and shirt movements
the animations and baricentre physics have been created by a special Pes Team in 2-3 years of work

Question is what past mistakes do you/ they refer to...or what Adam named as past mistake to them.
Removed cool features like snow, home and away games in exhibiton, removed league mode, short socks etc etc etc is one thing but if it will be another scripted piece of crap to the death then we can flush all the fulfilled "no more past mistakes" promises down into the toilet.

my opinion...

http://m.officialplaystationmagazin...-centric-control-fox-engine-tech-lead-the-way

The article is promising but probably, we will have huge online scripting..

No it sounds something to worry about. Are u kidding?

“Our ultimate goal is to let you win with the team you love.”

Maybe the writer of the article messed this up so much that it sounds like an arcade game...but im afraid there will be a few more scripted outcomes of a game when u play with lower teams against bigger teams... etc if u can have the possession for long time against Barca u will win for sure, or if your keeper can save 5 times in a row Barca will be weeker...YEAH its a childish example, but believe me such scripted events decides nowdays your games, NOT YOUR and YOUR TEAM'S skill, form....and its depressing even if i play against my buddy and im sure many of u doesnt think its a mistake, im afraid neither Adam does so it will be in it ..again... and thats why i hate pes ... actually thats why i got enough of the best sport game nowdays the NBA2k game(s) too
