That's all I'll say regarding this:

Met the guy. He's being listened to. He's very hard at work. He's having a positive impact and would make us all happy. New engine, new game. Past mistakes won't happen again.

Details, I cannot talk. I'm sorry I know you hate to read that, but it's Konami's decision when to reveal everything. Not here to ruin everything for them.

Just be patient, and hopefully you'll all be happy :)

Not long to go now.

Adam being in their doesnt mean they wont mess up.

I agree. The most important decisions are still done in Japan. If they decide that League mode will not return to Pes 2014 Adam can do nothing about it.

He is a perfect feedback man, he can clearly speak about our ideas and feedback directly to the team in Japan, but it's their decisions after all to listen or not.

@lami, not long to go.
Just one question: before E3 or not?

They are REALLY listening.

Really mate that's up to them. They'll do everything when they see the time is perfect.

They want to have that sort of impact :)

Thanks for your answers, you give me a bit more hope this year we will not see stupid awful decisions like boot stats in ml or options and modes removed from the game.

Great news they have the UEFA Champions League still, its definitely a huge deal which brings some sway even if it isn't the Premier League.

Not surprising, Konami has obviously been "humbled down" by their past mistakes. When you have someone straight from the core of the fans so close to you, it's only logical that you listen to what he has to say.

Can't wait to see what kind of impact this is having :)

Man, have you ever seen gameplay or screenshots yet?

Can't tell man.

Really fellas, no questions at all. There's no way I'll be saying anything. Like I said, Konami will announce everything in due time.

Yep. They want to listen. They hired him for a reason.

Anywway, what bothers me is:
Do they really need us to say them that removing modes and options is a bad idea?

I don't understand your all fetish with stadiums!?!
For me there could only be one stadium in the game - they are pointless anyway - just take up space on the disc + without them KONAMI could concentrate more on improving AI, not make all those useless stadiums!!
They have added such marketing tricks as create a stadiums, palyer ID, first touch and other bullshit to the game - now they have become as EA - all fancy words and marketing tricks with comlepete peace of crap inside the box!!

Never understood the the craving for numerous stadiums and a stadium editor either. In theory having a lot of stadiums sounds cool but at the end of the day they all blur into one when playing the game. One stadium and a variety of pitch textures would keep me happy. Rather Konami focus on gameplay where most of PES's improvement is definitely needed.

PES14 does indeed need to be a whole package, not a half effort. No point in having the most amazing game play ever if you don't have any decent modes with longevity to use it in, and vice versa.

Konami did state that home/away would play a factor in matches this year and affect players morale, and even affect their stats/performance, this is something that needs to be developed very very carefully, it has great potential to go tits up.

Above All, for me, PES14 needs to bring a completely immersible, enthralling and engaging 'environment' to the game, that means good solid modes, a revamped ML mode, decent stadiums, balls, attention to detail, real life intricacies of the game playing out on and off the pitch, it needs to draw you in.

Because football is all about that.Game, stadiums, fans etc.

Agreed. It not like its a shooting game or some action packed video game. Its only a football game where all you can do is just play football. There are no other options. So you have to include all the essential elements of the game as much as possible. Stadiums are a big part of the game so that can't be understated in any way.

Immersion and realism.

That is all.

About the stadiums discussion, having fake ones (and by FAKE ONES I mean the ones in PES2013) makes no sense. How in this world would be the same to play in Vallecas or in Camp Nou? Vallecas is close to the minimum size and Camp Nou to the maximum!!!! So, the way they are implemented in the game is completely wrong, existing no difference between their dimensions. And, thus, in gameplay terms there is just one stadium.

How do You know?

According to the UEFA regulations all stadiums need to be 105 m long and 68 m wide. Therefore it's realistic the way it is.

Really? Didn't know that. I thought FIFA/UEFA allowed minimum/maximum sizes.

Also remember ISS had that. The African pitch was massive!

I know what I'm doing lons_pl.

If you read correctly, you'll know I'm not overhyping the game. I'm saying exactly what I'm saying. No more, no less.

I'll put them in points to be more clear:

1. They want to listen to Adam. You'll be happy.
2. No more past mistakes. You'll be happy.
3. New engine. New game. New expectations.

That is all.

I'm quite optimist, for the simple thing that i did actually enjoy pes 2013 despite being very disappointed at the beginning. Plus i completely trust you, its been a while i am here on evo-web (but i dont post often, i prefer to read other's posts) and from what i remember, you never gave anyone a reason to not trust you, you are a good moderator and i like your opinion about the game. Even with news you are always careful to post only the ones that are 100% confirmed.

Don't think producing a good football game has got anything to do with Adam or anyone else from the community to be honest, although I'm sure he would like people to believe that. Bottom line is, Konami know what to do and have in the past made great football games. That experience and knowledge coupled with a new, much less restrictive engine means they are pretty much guaranteed to produce a football game with PES 2014 that meets or exceeds the quality of PES 3-6.
