I'll be honest and say I have very little knowledge about Asian football, but the more teams and variety the better :).

Great news indeed. Wonder how much this has to do with the new engine allowing addition of teams. Now bring the damn league back now........ and sort socks and international challenge and and and

The Asian CL is a welcoming addition but to me the game will be useless if there is no league mode and a massive improvement in gameplay which I hope the new engine will bring If not than its the same old shit konami bring overhyping the game and being left dissappointed.

Sorry, I mean would do you think the 2 sides would be licenced or not?
Hope so! Literally told him the Ozzies would be really happy seeing their teams in an official championship.

No overhyping this time :)

Adam is playing his role pretty well and having quite an impact :)

I don't understand your all fetish with stadiums!?!
For me there could only be one stadium in the game - they are pointless anyway - just take up space on the disc + without them KONAMI could concentrate more on improving AI, not make all those useless stadiums!!
They have added such marketing tricks as create a stadiums, palyer ID, first touch and other bullshit to the game - now they have become as EA - all fancy words and marketing tricks with comlepete peace of crap inside the box!!

I'm fine with 1 stadium if they're going to sell the game at $14.99 price point. But for a $50 release i expect more content, more replay value. This is year 2013 not year 1995 when technology was so limited. So yes, i welcome any addition to the stadium, league, team, competition, mode etc. with open arms.

Because football is all about that.Game, stadiums, fans etc.

I agree about leagues, teams and competitions, but what's the point of more stadiums - what replay value they have?!? You can see the stadium in start of the game in entrance scene only, after that every stadium look the same anyway + how many of you really watch entrance scenes after few times!?! I am pretty sure that most of you skip them after you have seen them for few times anyway!!
There is really no point of having more than one/few stadiums for this game...

That's not really true. Every single stadium feels different even during gameplay: the distance of the stands from the pitch, the pitch itself... It all increases variety.
I'm sure you wouldn't like seeing a team like ...Let me think... Troyes playing in a sold out Camp Nou. It would just feel unrealistic. Stade de l'Aube has 20K capacity, how come should a team like Troyes play in a stadium that can carry 96K people?

I'm not even after a different stadium for every team of course, I know it can't be done. I never did it even for PES6 where with Kitserver one could add theoretically as many stadiums as he wanted.
All I look for is a little variety not to see small teams like Sassuolo (their stadium carries 21K people) play in a huge stadium like Camp Nou.
Even if the stadiums weren't licensed I wouldn't care, just I hope there will be of different kinds (like it happens in FIFA which just looks like having the perfect stadium for every situation).

This goes out for teams, too: I don't really care about licences as long as teams feel realistic to play with: real kits, balls and faces can be easily added by modders.

But of course, I'm ready to give up on licences and stadiums if they provide a gameplay that feels proper. As I said, bells and whistles can be added afterwards.

Guys, you have to understand, that in order to be successful, Pro Evo has to deliver a full package. It MUST be appealing to as many people as possible, this means stadiums, boots, kits, etc. atmosphere, graphics, offline game modes, online game modes, edit mode and to combine all this you need an addictive, fluid and free gameplay.

People in general are different in many ways, so they have different tastes, you can't neglect certain aspects of a game, just because you personally do not care about it. I've said it numerous times, Pro Evo has to deliver a COMPLETE package, so they can get the attention of as many players as possible.

An announcement is needed badly, I just hope it will come sooner rather than later, people are getting anxious.

That's my concern. Of course their main goal is to sell as many copies as they can, and even a few more maybe. So they obviously have to please the biggest possible audience and, well, I'm concerned that this means that adding more licences is more important than refining the gameplay and making it closer to reality, even if it means harder.

To be honest, I'd like Konami to learn from ISI when it comes to designing games, but I know it's an absurdously long shot. It was a long shot when I first said it and it's still something utopian now:

Why do we need kits and licenses?! We can just have black vs white. Konami can use the rources and money spent on kits to develop the physics?!

Just kidding.

I think there was mention by konami of the fans and home ground having an impact on the game

Alright, that's not a problem. Considering Konamis unlimited resources, they can invest the same amount of money/time (which is, as i said, unlimited) in every single aspect of the game.

We are talking about priorities, and stadiums are in the bottom of my list. Why? Because they demand a high amount of the little money they put into PES when there is so much to do in the gameplay for example. If they want to please as many players as possible, they need to focus on gameplay, simply because it matters for everyone and has never been done properly since PES08 (6 years!!!). Then, when it's acceptable, i would welcome new stadiums, snow, low socks and cool nets :P

Well, not to that extent but... I would welcome a PES game with no licensed teams (like it used to be in the early PS2 days) if it meant better gameplay.

But I'm kind of a "manual addicted": I play FIFA on full manual, I play F1 2011 with no assists, and so on... I'd like games to be a challenge where if I do good I succeed otherwise I lose (so I would like a game that does exactly what I want it to do, even if it's wrong), but I know I'm not part of the audience Konami looks at. ;)

The manual on fifa 13 is less manual than 0 bars setting on Pes 2013.

I know. I still play FIFA 11, exactly because of what you said...
I bought FIFA 12 but I didn't feel as comfortable/free as with 11. So I decided to skip FIFA 13 after trying the demo.

I have to say, on the other hand, that I played PES 2013 a lot with friends (I don't have it unfortunately) and I found it quite good. That's why I'm really looking forward to 2014 :)

I'd just like to tell everyone that Adam is in there to make sure that all the mistakes Konami's done in the past do not happen again. And add to that what you read from the Edge magazine.

That is all I can say :)
