- Every year you guy's getting hyped. and 2 months later you complain about the game. YOu have been doing this for the last 6 years. But no, this year will be different? because i uses a different engine? No I haven't played the game, neither did you. But you are some god who went into the future, played the game and came back to tell us how awesome the game is. Yeah I totaly believe ou. I am convinced now. I am going to buy it. Here is my 60 euro's.

The hype with using the Fox engine is way more than just "graphics".
That is what I am saying, it's nt jsut graphics. I know reading is hard.

Kits getting dirty/ wet, animated audience and maybe day/night cycles in realtime.

When Did I say I didn't want this? about fucking time.

I don't wish for anything, after 6 years you can't fuck up. Not even MGS, GT5 or even GTAV has not been in develepoment fo such a long time. KONAMI are fuck ups. Get over it.

Write what you like, you cannot destroy the hype :-)
Stop complaining when the game is out and the goalkeepers are shit.

PES 2014 will be something i was dreaming of since the first ISS no matter if it has small mistakes.

You just can't stop yourself, can you?
PES has had the same engine for the past 10+ years and you just can't welcome the long overdue change? The amount of tech and everything that has been announced thus far is a vivid example of the change that has happened in the PES productions team and also an example of the way they operate, KONAMI are listening now to fans, more than ever! I can see from where you're coming, but even at this point, it is very clear that the game has changed drastically.

There is nothing we can say about PES2014 in terms of disappointment or expectations because its a new entity with a new engine. Pes2013 was comparable to any before it cos of the engine. We simply cannot Judge something we don't know.

We just have to wait and play

You are right, we all are failing for KONAMI's hype. Everyone, don't you see? We are already claiming the King is Back.
 
In fairness, the hype for PES games is atrocious.

Have actually enjoyed the last three games, but they really didn't benefit from being prefaced by the platitudes every two-bit previewer gave.

"REVAMPED, REWRITTEN, TOTALLY OVERHAULED, THE KING IS BACK!!!"

Teamvision, 360 movement, Active AI....ugh.

And it's all in the previewers own interests. Generating hysteria so they got page views and elevated their own status. (you know who im refering to)

Why could they have never just say yeah it's decent, improved in this, this and this. But still worried about this.

Its true what this chap is saying regarding the FOX Engine. If it is truly just a graphical ovehaul, then uhh, why all the initial convinction of it completely revamping how the game played? I don't feel this revelation about the HAVOK physics engine is any less of an improvement, but the deceit over FOX when all it added was cosmetic changes is strange.

I'm impressed by what I've seen but people need to settle down and let it be. Don't reward all the nonsense media jargon, wait until you've actually played it before announcing it's arrival as the one true football game.
 
Konami never said the new MASS system, or animations are thanks to Fox Engine.

Do you see why the Fox Engine Logo is on Pes 2014 ball? Because that ball has been created with Fox Engine assets and tools. FE in Pes has always been all about graphics and optimizing development for many platforms.

MASS, anymations, physics, cloth physics are completely unrelated to that.
The fact is at start i thought KONAMI created those elements all by itself, now it has been revealed that HAVOK helped them, simple as that.

So, FE in Pes 2014 is being used as a graphical update and optimizing tool, Havok systems are the core of Pes game.

Konami never said M.A.S.S and True-Ball were down to the Fox Engine, they said it was down to the 'Fluidity Engine', which is a combination of Fox and Havok.
 
I'm so happy with PES 2013 because imho there is no alternative...

If PES 2014 plays nearly as 2013 with better graphics and proper physics i'm happy.
 
Why is Enlil branded a troll ? He makes some rather good points, even if I don't agree with everything (specially the part about to the hype every time for the last 6 years). He argues constructively at least.

So you think his ranting and criticizing something he knows absolutely nothing about at this point is making "good points"? In which alternate gaming universe have we already been shown that goalkeeping in PES 2014 is still shit? Apart from the absurdity of such a claim, that's trolling, period, end of story.

No, it's because he's coming from the opposite end of the mindless-declaration spectrum with his comments: "The game is still shit! Konami are hiding things from us and being dishonest!"
 
As long as the keepers are not as bad on release at they are in current code, reviews all say they are iffy, and if the ai is scripting the same horrible manor as pes 12 and pes 13 then i will be loving it.
