PES 2013 Discussion Thread

I'd say they must have done, because the two goals I scored against pes4lyfe seemed definitely offside even to me.
Not to sure what's going on with that though, it can't be the engine or w/e making mistakes that aren't intentional though.
 
Be nice if it was happening in my opinion. Would make it more true to life.
Would be nice also if they could add some animation to it also with players surrounding the referee or making gestures to the linesman.

The inclusion of time wasting ballboys would be good also. Maybe you could actual play as the ball ball in legend mode and you would be able to run around with the ball timewasting and even take a dive when grappled by a player.

This is weird and I wonder if Konami programmed a error in judgment because one thing I notice in all previous footy games pes/fifa is that offsides are 100% correct. Which one would expect as it is a computer game so easy to programme in a 100% working offside system.

So, I wonder if this year they programmed in some tight decisions to go the wrong way as happens in real life?

Never ever had a decision go wrongly for me but loads of times I've played a splitting through ball to my CF and its been flagged offside and the replay quite clearly shows you was definitely onside.
The game also seems to class level as offside, which is wrong.

yeh i does but thats real weird beacuase all previous games had level as onside.

I wonder what happened with this one, its broken system

yeh but its only those 2 goals i seen that seemed offside be allowed.

I was thinking maybe that was due to some kind of online lag. So in the network up in space somehwere lol you were onside but on our tvs you were offside.

Other than that offline its always onside give as offside that is the problem.

PS- Anyone know if u can dive in this PES?
 
have noticed in online quite a bit, i play as man city, and lots of times i am given offside. when quite clearly i am on.
but if my opponent is playing as real madrid or barca quite a few times they are offside but given onside.
in my opinion online the game is biased towards theses 2 teams in particular madrid. thats why about 90% of people i have played choose madrid where last year it was barca. people are not daft.,
they soon suss these things out.

To be fair though, I was playing as Swansea and Valencia when the incidents mentioned previously occurred.

Although pes4lyf makes a good point, it could just be network lag or something? who knows.
 
yeh network lag makes sense for online; what we see on screen may not be what is happening in the network world.

As for offline no excuses far to many online calls are made as offside

Yes i respect more sensible soccer than PES crap until 2008. For 6 fukin years Konami cant't make proper keepers animations. For 6 years they use old crap engine. Do You want more? Ok... For 6 fukin years this game looks like games in 2000 year. For 6 fukin years this game move like shit. Do You want more? Cemeras? Magic boots? League mode? More? Online? I love PES 2013. Best football game I have ever played. Is that ok with you?
 
Hi guys, how have you been ? I can't remember the last time I posted here, it was like months ago.

Anyway, I'd like to make just one simple question...: When will we have a football game that is not ruined by the insane pressure/second pressure and counterattack long balls online ?

When I play a football game that is relatively realistic at it's core (PES has potential to be that) and actually punishes constant sprint and too much agressiveness when defending in player vs player (online and offline), this game will be the best game ever for me.

If Konami implement Fox Engine in their next game, a good leap in graphics and animations is expected (including on PS3 and XBox 360 versions), but it's not enough. I want a PES that has a defending system like We9, a game that really punishes agressiveness (american football style), a game that punishes that crazy sprint towards the player with the ball without any break. And they must do something to the second pressure as well. There must be more time on the ball without being surrounded by two players (second pressure) in a split of a second. A better fatigue system is urgently needed as well.

But changing the subject, what was the latest update ? I gave my copy to my brother months ago and since then I didn't play PES 2013. I'd like to know if there's any improvement in gameplay. I'm at my brother's house and I will play just offline game (online is ruined by childish gameplay, constant second pressure and long balls to quick wingers).

Well fair points but can be countered.

1. double team pressure- USign this takes a defender out of posisiton and often leaves a gap, it may allow the attacker to pass a ball to a teammate now in space or with plenty room to run into etc...So using constant double team is not always a good thing and can result in helping the opponent if it is overused and opponent makes use of defender opponent out of position.

2. COunter attacks- this is a problem when dominating you can concede easy on counter long ball or short passes. However adjusting defensive sliders so that you defend deep helps a lot as does using containing and covering when defending counter breaks, not committing etc.

So yeh these things you mention can be used favorably by opponents but they can also be cons for them if you learn the game.

I start it on my PC with emulators, its strange game , really ! You are like some manager , you buy young players, presentation is not bad, you have news about all around the world , like who is fired for poor results, which country has won the bid for the World Cup or European Cup,Press conference. They have tried to insert realism in this aspects! I love it. , but I still have not played a real match , I have not seen real geymplay, maybe I'm in a very early stage, I do not know.I still do not understand the game .
 
I just wanted to share my opinion. Lets get back in time. After playing thousands of hours in PES 3,4,5,6 i have bougt "next gen" pes 2007. It has totally failed me. I felt hurt by "my" Konami. Same shit was 2008-9-10 - which i didnt even buy . Also, i think that PES 2011-12 was wasting a money. I played maybe a few hours. Pes 2013 with PESJP patch is finally the game i was waiting for. Its brilliant. I spend more hours in friendly matches now than Fifa 11-13. I love this game. The balance defence-attack is perfect. Tempo is perfect. I have fun playing every single match. Every match is different - historic for me. I can play all day long, learning the every aspect of the wonderful game. Waiting patiently for NEXT GEN PES 14.

Hi guys iv been turned off by the game lately and the simple reason was those damn patches since iv started playing it fresh off the shelf version 1.00 I'm loving the game alot again, I don't understand why konami seem to destroy this game when they insert there damn patched shits me and also iv notice for some reason when I don't include any modified patches to correct the team names logos etc the game plays great, and definately not placebo.

Are you taking the piss? frame down? it plays absolutely fine here for me, no frame slowdown at all and the capture was full 1080 HD.
Maybe its just your crappy internet cionnection buffering the video.

As for the vid you posted, it looks every bit an old PS2 game, 1m42s - look at those penalty animations - dog awful and hyperspeed.
 
Can anyone please tell me if Konami have released a patch that gives the user the option to turn off the horrendous RPG magic (and black generic) boots in Master league mode for both your team and the computer controlled AI team? And have they added a normal league mode back in? And finally does the retail version play the same as demo 2? Thanks.
