Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......
Wow just wow. You have been agreeing with or instigating every anti PES sentiment here. Go away shill or write a letter to konami or even better Tweet Jon Murphy he can maybe help you....if its help you seek.
Ignorance is bliss so let me be ignorant please. Oh yes no need for the 4 pager on on how big a PES fan you are I read the novels over the years.
For me pointing out the negative and positive things are both equally (maybe to point out the nagative things is even a bit more) important to achieve a constructive criticism in the hope that some day things get improved in future versions.
There are some things in PES 2012 that are disturbing the enjoyment against the CPU and I think it's important to look out if PES 2013 might be plagued by similar problems.
These were imho the major problems in PES 2012:
1. Cheating through stat-boosts for the CPU and stat-decreasing for your team, ball going to the CPU, ball going through the feet of your defenders, ball going through the body of your goalkeeper...
PES 2013-demo: Signs and proof is there that it's not gone and it's only friendlies in the demo. Competitive matches in the full game...
2. Lacking individuality of players, especially regarding the look and feel of players.
PES 2013-demo: Players with player-ID are eerily similar to their real-life-versions. Great improvement there. Hoped though it would be more than 50 players.
3. Lack of midfield-play and parking the bus-mentality.
PES 2013-demo: Greatly improved, love the midfield-tussles.
4. Missing realtime-stamina/fatigue-system and lack of running-sensation (They are both interconnected).
PES 2013-demo: As matty has proven, the stamina/fatigue-system is still broken and very random. Probably that's why there is no real full pelt running possible to keep gameplay in check.
5. Playerswitching was awful in PES 2012, after half of the passes, the wrong recipient was chosen by the game.
PES-2013-demo: Not fixed! (Yair's patch fixed it though)
6. Too much on rail-movement and too much need of supercancel.
PES-2013-demo: Greatly reduced use of unresponsive on-rail-movements. Though some on rail movements are still not changeable without supercancel.
7. Shooting was too weak and too limited.
PES 2013-demo: Shooting is greatly improved and more free. Though a bit too strong and too many go onto goal. There should be more error in shots with the outside foot.
8. Dribbling was a bit too freeflowing for most players.
PES 2013-demo: Improved, more grounded (similar to PES 2011) and not all players are good at it.
9. Nightgames looked awful.
PES 2013-demo: Still looks awful! (Thanks to Dr. Hany's nightgame-turf-patch, it looks nice on PC)
10. Goalkeepers were awful before patch 1.03 and mediocre after it.
PES 2013-demo: Greatly improved AI of goalkeepers, more competent. Animations of them still look wrong though.
Verdict: Half of the problems of PES 2012 got improved or fixed, while half of it were not fixed nor improved.
If you can't deal with that I suggest you go to the WENB-forum, there you will find much more bliss and warm positivity.
