I dunno, read those opinions about demo once more and came to conclusion: people were having huge expectations for 1st demo...

People are on negative front here... I can understand that, but... Then again, I never expect great things from demos (because the gameplay from demos sometimes does not represent what Final game is and vice versa.)

I'm grateful to KONAMI and PES team that we were given demo in July and we can give valid feedback of things to improve, but ffs do not jump on criticizing bandwagon. There is a lot of things which are done good in this demo, some need polishing/improving. It's not like whole game is crap now is it?

Do you think companies listen to moaners/whiners or they would rather listen to people who can back their theories up or have vision on how to improve things?

I think it's the 2nd option.

And btw what would you do with only 1 demo released just 2 weeks before game release? There would be no time to even try and improve the game ;).

Yeah.. its July .. guys.. the game is not more of that 60% or 70 % build.. there is 4 mounts to polished and complete the game . Just found way to make feedback with one will be useful for future game.
Do not make general assessments about the game on the this stage ... its stupid !

And @ImpossibleYesbutitsTrue stop trolling .. PES 6 has way better animation and animation transfusion compere every PES after that !!Only PES 2013 tries to get close to this level

its not about the transitions ONLY, like u guys try to tell me YOUR way to make the game look better
its about the whole package
now we have some good animations and 360° movement, its way more "fluid" gameplay than pes6 was, cutback rabbit gal0re

im not a pes6 die hard fan, get over it guys..

In my opinion Pes 2013 first demo have in the same level of fluid and transitions animations like Pes 6. Pes 2013 it's first Pes in this gen which its close and similar.

Been playing the demo for quite a bit now and must say a big improvement over 2012, its also alot more stable than last years early demo just hope they dont mess with the formula too much.

Shooting is a tad to powerful (although way better than 2012)

4 months ? I guess if the game will be released october, konami must submit it tp sony/microsoft a month before release, no ?.. hence early september should be completed. Hence, only around a month to improve the game.

I am sure by 1st week of next month demo 2 will have been ready. Probably now it is already submitted to sony/microsoft :P

Some problem we mention here probably has been fixed as long as it is within konami's capability, priority, and their engine.

Isn't preview code newer than demo ? Releasing demo 1 is not only to get feedback/glaring issue that konami may have overlooked but also a marketing strategy.

My accusation is like this, for example :

Issue of GK floaty throw. They were aware before when making demo 1 and let them like it is, because they need to submit earlier to ms/sony. However by the time fans voice their opinion about this, it is already fixed in almost/already complete demo 2 which is also probably ready to submit to ms/sony.

Hence, when demo 2 gets released, fans really believe that their demo feedback is heard by konima and fixed which is actually they were aware of it in the first place :P

When you for last time you play PES 6 :D I play this game almost every night . Even now i'm in PES6j servers and playing 2 vs 2 .. The animations is not problem for this game , without 360° movement the game is way more freedom of every that 360 PES games , cutback is not big deal if you know how to deffence , and almost 80 % of the server play without cutbacks there , but with game dont have cutbacks ?? FIFA (or how fifa fan say sweating goals)? All other PES games ?? I don't thing so ! IF cutbacks is the biggest problem on PES 6 :D that just proves how good a game is

what matter does it play how long i havent playd that game? does the game change year for year in the core mechanix? no? right.. :D

the animations are off course no problem of this game, never was
but time passed by and movement feels better with 360°, especially turning the players, basically nobody can deny this
running anim. is not best but when u move players in diff. directions it feels more fluid than ps2 engine games

oh and its not about defending cutbacks, its about that they are there and u see them, and how it looks
thats the point

i personally cant play pes6 or older titles since pes010 came out, i just cant
feels better, FEELS
im not saying the game is better, its not :p(rationally said)

How come having less than 360 degree direction or whatever = more freedom, doesn't it explain itself that it is limited or less freedom :P

If real 360 degree means we can dribble, pass with 45, 46, 47, degree and other small increment direction. FIFA does not even have this.

Unless 360 degree means 32 direction, yeah it is so likely. but i guess it is only 16 direction at max for pes dribbling/running direction.

That why PES 6 is one of the best! Has 16 direction but is enough to feel free to do anything of yourself, what you want and what you can.
And when you think about that 360-degree movement , do not save PES 2010-2012 to be some of the worst in franchise

Slight off-topic, but can anyone recommend the best mods for the PC demo?

I've been using the MxSoNiC demo tweak which was one of the first mods out, but now I see the PES2013 editing section has three pages of downloads!

I install some from modding way , with some Unlock 25 teams patch Jenkey1002 , but the game began spontaneously and randomly closes during a match, and now i must download the demo again . My friends say that PESEDIT patch is good.

I am a lover of PES6 but to say it has freedom is a bit off the mark. Passing and shooting is heavily assisted which is why it still has a large attraction with the pes community. Konami have moved on quite alot since then and todays game is nothing like pes6 which is in some ways good and some ways bad. I like both titles 6 for its instant pick up and play appeal(plenty of action and goals galore) but then again I like pes2012 and pes2013 demo as it takes more skill and concentration to win games and and overall is more realistic to real football.

A bit off topic...
But, what is the most effective way to defend in this game?
I mean, everything I do seems to be useless, my defenders just watch the ball pass through them.
I skipped PES 2012... so looks like I've lost the track of defending in the game.
Any tips..?
If it is off topic, plz send me PM.

its a pes discussion thread dude its not off topic lol

for defending tips i'll just say keep a nice distance between you and the attacker, just enough so he cant get past you but not enough so he can wrong foot you... lead HIM into the mistake... and master the timing of your tackles (A x2, or X x2 on playstation).... also using team mate pressure is good (x/square) but again... keep a safe distance in general.... so you gotta tap that pressure button to keep the distance safe then hold it in when its the right time

also generally i like to super cancel to into positions where im cutting off their passing options (usually towards the centre/their striker- the danger area)

Passing and shooting is heavily assisted .... that mean you just press pass, or shots, and.. all will be done ?? Come on... If we must talk about real FOOTBALL SKILL in football games.. any of new PES games is far from that !! With PES 6 u can't just pumps pass button and to control the ball and the match, like its is in PES 2011-2012 , or even in PES 2013 ...In PES 6 you must use your brain , to thing about REAL FOOTBALL, even with that "Passing and shooting is heavily assisted" , because there the passing and shooting is very well calculated and programmed so that it makes you wonder with which foot do you must use, what angle of shot or pass, what kind of players, what is the speed of the ball, situation, the position of opponents players etc. PES 6 is made up of football logic... Now all that is disappeared after PES 2010, as come this power bar, all that is no longer matters . Now is only important to take a right power and to make direction of the pass and again in PES 2011-2012 is as easy to play position game, to hold ball even in high difficult and that is wrong . Even if you use fully assistments, football logic is missing and all look .. robotic ,strange and.. wrong .
PES 6 is not perfect, of course , but its last PES game that is forged entirely from football and only football was important.

Pes 6 right now is unplayable, simple as that. Its gameplay is very limited. Maybe it was more fun, but that's because it was more arcade. Football logic is not missing in pes 2011, 2012 and 2013, at all. I simply disagree with everything you said, but it's ok. Opinions. :))

yeah, it's all about timing so. Even though it isn't a controls issue I gotta get used to PES controls again
haven't played football games last year (FIFA 12 for a while)

I just played a 15 minutes game leaving aside all my football concepts and just sprinting and attacking non-stop, pushing the opponent as much as I could.
I scored 6 goals and received 3.

All I want to to say: that was plain IDIOTIC.

lol is that the deception cycle i see before me? Oh its july oh its demo one. Seriously when has konami ever upped their game from demo to final? ever pes i have played from pes 3 was better in the demo cos the ball was less railed. Do you guys really think they can recode half the game? for the most part it will be designers tunning varibles. Every problem i have with the game has been there since 2009/2010.
It is silly to be gratefull to a product provider. You are selling me a product dont show me a car with a stiff gear box at a car show and think i will buy it 2 months later when you have finished tuning it when you have had a track record of failing to notice such problems.

I did every single pes survey this year all 4 of them and i gave hours of my time giving details and even psuedo code of the simple logic problems in the game. lets no even speak of the feed back from 2010 or 2011 or 2012. it is an atrocity to give Konami a pass. they dont deserve it. If you want a pass sell me the game for 50% off.

well
u can stand still doing nothing
u can run normally
u can run fast normally
u can run fast with super control using sprint button and R2
u can hold R2 and direction for delay play

u can hold X? for delay play
u can hold X and sprint button for pressing delay play
u can tap X twice to stick out the leg

welcome to PES current status, gone is the intuitive but deep controls, its now deep only :D
still i like it, but srsly.. there are so many ways to defend..

yep after 010 i miss something, 010 was gooood ideas, then they moved to fifa way..

I love the special animation of Pirlo for long balls, it helps a lot to get the perfect height and speed on the ball, it's definetly unique trying this long balls with him in control.
