I know this is an old post, but when this happen, just delete your old EDIT.bin (make sure to backup first, though i'm not sure if Edit.bin available in 360 and PS3) The game will generate new one with all the latest line-up and formation when you boot the game. Also, those line-up were reflected during the time the datapack was in production. I still remember Carrick play as CB early of this season. Tello is in Barca first eleven since the end of last season. Your Stephan Ireland, Bertrand problem were due to obsolete formation. Konami did all these to make sure their DLC won't messed up with certain popular 3rd party option files. Been reading this board for a while, most of your complaints are trivial. Mean it might bother you, but not necessary others.

Oh, before i forgot it's PES Production, the developer, so it's their responsibility. Not Konami.

Yup but i was just honest, online feature in pes is horrible imo and menu's are klunky, not to mention fully assisted machines online, only play pes offline

Yep, and they barely implement any of it. Konami know what needs to change and they'll do it their way (if they do it at all). These feedback surveys are faux community involvement to try and appease us.

Don't insult me Konami.

A fool that has voted in every single election I've been eligible for.

Anyway, your point is rather tenuous. A political party will set out it's goals and if it doesn't achieve them it is voted out. Konami has actively asked us what we want, delivered very little (gone backwards in some ways) and expects us to 'vote' for its product year after year.
 
Sorry guys but I find that illogical.

If you can make your annoyances known on this forum, where there's no Konami employees, why would you abstain from filling in a survey because they don't listen?

If no one listens, why complain on here at all?

If everyone that disliked aspects of the game refused to provide feedback, then there's 100% chance that nothing will be done. Only people providing feedback are the ones with stupid ideas, like stat boosting boots.

So fill in the survey if you genuinely want to be heard.
 
I'm not encouraging others to skip the survey, it's just a personal decision. I don't really care what Konami do from here on in. Too many other games to enjoy. I'll leave them to it and see what they serve up next year.
 
Fair enough mate. I have quite a few games myself to finish off. Really want to get them knocked off before GTA V comes out next year. And there's other ones I'd like to play at some point lol.

Need more hours in the day!

Sim City 5 is the big one for me. Only a few months away now. I've waited so long for a new version. Of course, GTA5 too.
 
Still playing with version 1.00 of the PC-version of PES 2013 (no mods used, except for Dr. Hany's pitch-texture-pack) and yesterday night I actually had a really nice exciting match, playing with Valencia against SC Braga in a competitive championsleague-match.

Yesterday I chose to play more patiently:

Instead of assuming that my team-players will make the right moves when attacking I assumed that they are idiots and that their runs are nearly always wrong. So most of the times I refused to play a pass and kept the ball in possession until I was sure that my teamplayer was in the right direction and had enough free space.

And while I had the ball I learned that there was no need to pass the ball quickly away. Even if the CPU pressures you, you can shield the ball pretty well against a single opponent and when you don't use the run-button it's possible to dribble very well and get out of situations.

And when the CPU is attacking, it's best to not defend against the ball-carrier but to look for the CPU's forwards, how they make their runs to position themselves and to force your CB's to cover them. The reason is that my CB's when not constantly overlooked and adjusted will always part like the sea when the CPU thinks it's time for a goal.

Of course not all of the scripting can be defeated that way, the dreadful corner-kick-scrambles or freekick-autogoals remain, but overall this more patient and more cautious playing, while assuming that your team-players are complete idiots, really helps.

I have filled in every konami next gen survey and i can quite honestly say it is a waste of time and and a farse.

How many times and how many people have asked for customizable cameras? Or extra slot for editing? Or kit mixing like in pes5? Or new lighting system? or a decent sound? The basic of every sport game

All we get year after year is some new gimmick like a free kick going exactly into the head of the selected player, boot boost or a new pathetic voice reading the exact same commentary.

Konami still uses pes6 sound files, some animation are from the ps1 era ffs. The master league wrong calendar has not been changed for a decade...

No more bs marketing survery, thanks, i am done.

Thanks, will do that. So here's my latest bitching and complaining:

When I make a pass from the right or left side to the middle while attacking, the player in the middle often jumps over and lets the ball through to the other player to his left or right.

Numerous goal-opportunities were ruined by that behaviour, because the other player to the left or right is of course covered, while the one in the middle is nicely free.

I haven't yet figured out if the letting through is dependent on the strength of the pass. Regardless I would like to have some input-possibility, some way to make the middle-player take the ball or to let it through, this automatism is getting on my nerves.
 
That survey is useless not because this is not submitted to Konami. In fact, it is, but they (Konami Team in Japan) simply don't care about what we have to say. Like i always said, the most important decisions are up to Konami Team in Japan and European department can do nothing about that.
That's a real shame. If Konami Japan would take our ideas in greater considerations Pes would be in a much better situation than it is now.

I'm pretty certain it is dependent on pass strength, it happens all the time to me. The ball travels straight towards my player, the game misjudged it and switches control to someone behind him. So my player stands there like a lemon and the opponent walks off with the ball. Or, he steps over the ball as you say. I also have an issue where I spread the ball to the wing and my wide man will run onto the ball before I gain control of him and run past the ball momentarily. So annoying.

I got halfway through the survey then gave up, it's nothing new over old surveys and frankly half the questions were banal and pointless. I could tell them directly what issues there are with the game as a package but they wouldn't listen.

Oh and one other thing I noticed about the patch last night, the quick free kick bug is STILL there. Unless I'm doing something wrong, countless times my player was fouled, shaped up to do a quick free kick and it wouldn't work. Which is great because the CPU does them all the time.

How has this not been fixed in two patches? It's a glaring error that any person, let alone a games tester, would pick up on within playing just a handful of games.

So, I just couldn't find any happy medium with this, whether in game difficulty to ML. I initially wanted to do a ML in La Liga, with Athletico, but realised that firstly their home pitch looks horrible in this game, and secondly you are forced to use the official Nike ball that Konami have somehow made look too small and a strange off-white colour. Even with a fully licenced league, they removed all options to edit both team stadiums for Spanish clubs, as well as removing the option to use your favourite ball in La Liga too. Tiny issues really, but additionally annoying ones given you can still edit these things in FIFA, which is far more licenced than this.

Fill that survey, and additionally ask them for a game manual explaining in depth the game stats and mechanics, it's something that's really lacking all those years and will save the community from a lot of guesswork. Being ignorant to the publishers wont do any good.

just be fortunate there giving a game manual, more and more games give you two bits of paper with a code and a warranty/promotions these days, it is indeed a dying breed.

Agree about the nike-ball issue. Its not just the nikeball, every ball except the Konami pes2013 ball is too small which takes away much feel.

Probably none. But moaning in official feedback-areas and -initiatives none either, did that the last few years with nothing to show for it.

Konami-Japan does what it thinks it can do and what it wants to do with the respective engines and everything else is merely a smoke-screen to gain time.

Moaning here at least makes me feel a little better:)).

So what about the 1.02-patch? What improvements does it offer regarding gameplay compared to 1.00 on PC?

KONAMI opens a new studio in London, maybe the feedback will make a difference in the future.

By the way, I was just awarded my first penalty in PES 2013. After 139 matches.
