PES 2013 Discussion Thread

Has anyone using the WENB OF successfully got to the main menu after installing the patch and data pack?
 
Here's a tip for you Konami, next time how about not rush releasing a half finished game hmm? That way you then don't risk pissing off your customers with a shambles of a DLC.
 
Looking for help from anyone here. I'm downloaded DLC and my PS3 is online (I can see friends who are online) I also can bring up the Community thing and see the players in my area. But I can't download the data pack. When I click on download in the Information tab, it tells me there is a communication error. Anyone fiamiliar with this?
 
I had a quick look at this mypes thing... Anyone interested u.k add me to your lists... My ps3 name is Rikismyname

Yeh I had that earlier, just keep trying. Restart your ps3.

Recommend downloading the data pack from the http option not the peer to peer option.

Transfers have been done.

Delete the Edit Data file and the game works but the OF is now useless.

Its the only solution I've found that works so far, very annoying.

Yeah, I'm beginning to get short of words to describe Konami's incompetence.
I would like to have J-League too. Why couldn't they include??
Also, it's unacceptable to have only one language commentary - I've owned versions from EU and US and it featured many languages that I played around with. It was great for immersion if you were playing a BAL career and you changed from Italian to Spanish according to the country you played in, and so on. And this time around I really wanted to play with Brazilian Portuguese commentaries, but the UK version comes only with bloody Jim Beglin...
It would be so easy to fix this. I hate to compare, but Konami leaves me with little choice: FIFA allowed us to download on the PSN/Xbox Live the commentary we wanted as DLC. Is it really so hard to do?

As for the DLC with transfers, that's right: it completely screws up your Edit data. So if you spent time creating players and editing teams... back to the drawing board, fellas! :(

This is one of the main reasons why I barely played the game up until now. It's useless to have Option Files and edit stuff before they release something that should have come with the game in the first place.

installed the patch on PS3, noticed there was no prompt about installing DLC. Went to the information menu, and there was a data pack available. Got "communications error"

That will surely get fixed soon but if this patch and dlc is causing problems with installed option files, this will probably cause problems in the future? I have been waiting to add option files with kits, etc, but if I go ahead when this dlc thing is sorted it will probably get messed up the next time there is a patch?
 
Gonna try the dlc for transfers but the patch can sod off, I'm strictly offline so community and hub etc are of no importance to me. I love the gameplay as it is on Top Player so I'm not letting them screw that up with some minor hidden gameplay changes they usually bust out around this time...

We have received reports that the game froze once the Data Pack 2.0 was applied to the game.

We are now investigating into this issue, but have stopped releasing the Data Pack 2.0 which seemed to be the cause of the issue.
It will be released again once the issue is solved.

The Out of the Box Experience with FIFA is stunning compared to this... What a shame, Konami.
 
OH, never mind, data pack 2 on xbox has now been removed. Brilliant. I bought the game in September, have faffed around playing pointless friendlies etc waiting to be able to play ML because they've taken a frankly ridiculous amount of time to sort the transfers out and now when they finally do, it crashes people's consoles.

Not to mention the massive wait for the option file because Konami didn't make data pack 1 compatible with that. What a fucking mess they've made of this. I have tomorrow off work and was looking forward to starting a ML with the transfers all done and sorted, now I'm assuming Konami will take days, maybe weeks, before re-releasing the file again.

Fuck it, I might just go through and do some of the bigger transfers myself then start a ML anyways, I'm fed up of waiting now. What a total joke of a company they've become.

Oh, and I don't want to download the patch that came with it, but unlike other games those lovely people have Konami have made it so that you can't download the data pack without first downloading the patch, which means I'm gonna have to DL the data pack whenever it's re-released, then empty my system cache to get rid of the patch, which means deleting all other patches in all other games on my xbox hard drive.

I noticed the patch notes state, tucked away at the bottom of the list, that it includes a nicely vague 'various changes' to improve game experience.....hmmm. Why can't I just play the game as it came out of the box with up to date transfers for fuck sake? To me that implies that gameplay tweaks have been made, which is something I want to avoid as I enjoy the game out of the box.

In fact, what is the problem with both companies this year?! EA have released FIFA13 in such a shambolic state that it's appeared on Watchdog thanks to what sounds like dozens and dozens of huge bugs, and Konami remove game modes, don't make well known option files compatible with data packs, fail to update transfers until mid-October, then release a bugged version before immediately pulling the download.

F**k off, Konami.

yeep thats why im just doin mini comps and friendlys atm, not gonna start master league til all is updated plus i have a patch with proper kits etc that works with master league
 
Thing with master league is players move all over the shop anyway, on my ml messi has gone to inter, Chelsea, man city and is now back at barca.

I'm not downloading the patch either as last year it fucked the game up for me
 
How much longer are we going to have to wait, though?

I've now had the game for approaching a month and I still can't play the main game mode because transfers haven't been sorted. I really, really don't see how it's acceptable for Konami to release a game where transfers that took place four months ago were not updated, and then take this long to get an update out. I mean playing ML with the likes of Van Persie at Arsenal, Modric at Tottenham etc is shite.

Why did it take Konami over 20 days to sort out the transfer dlc in the first place, and how has it taken this long yet still be released in a state that it freezes people's games?

Like I said, I'm now extremely tempted to remove this patch from the game, keep my OF that I've been enjoying and manually do some big, more obvious transfers and leave it at that before just starting a ML. Absolutely ridiculous that I might have to edit my own game because Konami are incapable themselves.

Yeah, if you enjoy the game as it is then I really see no incentive to try the patch. I'm deeply mistrusting of it, the vast majority are changes for stuff I never use, but the 'various changes to improve game experience' bit of their patch notes doesn't sound convincing to me.

its also pretty ridiculous youve waited a month to decide this. on the day of the patch no less. :FAIL:
 
It's a joke to be honest doesn't need patching they will just unbalance things like the shooting last year

Really can't see how hard it is to update transfers should have been a day 1 update surely?
