i dunno, i cant make your decision for you. havent you played the demos ? that should be enough to make your mind up. personally i just cant handle floaty players with no momentum, dribbling in fifa doesnt exist because its impossible to wrong foot a defender

That's what I always play so hope you can answer this for me...

I haven't bought the game yet because all the crap surrounding non-gameplay features have put me off. Saying that, even some of the gameplay I'm seeing are not doing the game any favors; AI strikers running straight into defenders, keepers parrying to strikers too much, defensive players moving in weird patters at freekicks etc.

Anyway my question: are you seeing realistic scores in games between other teams in Master League? I've seen videos and comments where other scores have been far too low, but I think most people were playing 10 mins or simming. How do you find it on 15 mins? I know how long you play shouldn't make a difference on scores between com teams, but I swear in 2012 this was the case.
 
A sense of deep boredom already got me. Lack of 3D feeling and physical sense, everything seems flat and bidemensional. I miss pes3, pes5 and pes 2010 feeling. I have the classic "been there, done that".

I'll wait till the october patch and then sell it maybe. This year nba 2k13 will be my sport game.

Floaty players is what I hate from FIFA, they look like skating not playing football. What I hate from PES are cameras.

I suppose I could understand where Konami are attempting to come from by trying to minimise major connection problems with people from all over the world playing each other.
That said, other games manage it and PES has before so it doesn't really add up

So this means that if I buy and import PES13 from Europe, I won't be able to play it online ?
 
The good thin about FIFa are the sliders. You can make the ball the fastest object on the pitch so fast players can actually accelerate to catch a pass played into space.
 
For players from the UK/Europe, have you played online with players from the US?

I picked up a copy of PES2013's US version yesterday, not sure if I should open this or go for a UK/Europe copy. I'm planning to join PEEL, but I'm doubting if a US version would allow me to play with all of you from EU.

Yep damn good players too but I am missing out on 2 unassisted leagues. Jamez if it weren't for these leagues I wouldn't play half the games I did on PES2012.

0 assist with like minded players is unbelievable and I am missing out on that.

FGS I am missing out on playing mr G force, pere ubu, Kaiser, satnik these guys are ina different class.

The game is fantastic online, I have only managed to get 2 games so far but that aside the gameplay is brilliant vs humans. Such a shame I can very rarely get a game.
 
I don't know. I'm reading all these complaints about the game, and from plenty of you whose comments I respect. I have my complaints as well. But when I play 20 minute games, unassisted passing, I end up with perhaps the most exhilarating gameplay in any iteration. I lose more than I win, I have to claw back for draws, I can work the wings, try route 1, retain possession, switch sides, bring up my cb, anything I want. I can play tiki taka, long ball, or with a deeplying playmaker ala pirlo. And the CPU offense, while not yet ideal, is still very varied, switching sides, with clinical finishing. and most importantly, unlike 2012, I can play thoughtful, positional defense. Yes my centre backs are often imbeciles and my gk parries like a child sometimes, but damn if they aren't also useful and occasionally brilliant. Anyway, if I draw the CPU to the wing and then allow the sb to overlap and cut in with the ball, I deserve to watch my CB rush out of position and to relinquish the lead. I don't know, but I haven't felt a single moment of scripting. But I have felt dozens of moments of me fecking up in midfield and getting crushed. And most importantly for me, with pes, sometimes when I score I actually jump out of my chair and dance to the extent that I can dance...

Is it continent restricted? As I can play most European countries in sure, I'm not restricted to UK
 
A possible flicker of hope, they said "currently". Ask them if the October DLC with the widgets and increased features and stuff will open up the possibility of playing international opponents. Shot in the dark I know but worth a try.

Can't believe Konami. They seem to enjoy scoring so many own goals for the fun of it.

Does this mean that this is PES2013 then? Will there be an update in future maybe? I am very dissappointed if this is the case. How can the series take a step backward online?

You are dangerously close to losing a loyal customer that runs a league in South Africa.

Please advise.


I am going to now wait the obligatory 3 days for a response. I know how these things work they probably have a system that allows 3 days for a response then it gets escalated so they wait the 3 days then hit you with a lame response not really helping you but covering their ass

Here in the US too.

The PC version never comes out here so people have to import their copy or purchase it digitally. If they don't fix this "you can currently play only with the people from your own country" bullcrap then that means no online competitions, no MLO etc. for the US players. If that will be the case then they should kindly give our money back. Besides isn't the online part of the game being advertised as "play online globally against anybody in the world"? Am I missing something?

But I would think this is something they will/should be fixing soon. It's ridiculous.

got my uk copy yesterday. having a lot of fun with CL mode! i did qualify for the round of the last 16 against psg! kept ibra from scoring though! again: what a fun!

but i still have the feeling its not like demo too. some things toned down... like shooting or pace! but thats good!

the thing that really bothers me is 1vs1 local!! i had my first match against my mate tonight and it sucked! shame to say that cause thats the core of pes for me! local matches against humans (waiting for community mode!!!)!
it feels laggy! kind of a problem caused by the engine! the perfomance drops or something!

i switched to vs com match now and my mate (fifa fan) thinks the same! its better in vs com!

anyone noticed that, cause i feel like a black sheep!
 
How to remove the "tucking "auto save option ?? ... this is ridicules .... every time the game make auto save and u cant do anything .. if you want to try to play some match again, in BaL mode or ML, you cant ! I'm look in every setting in and out of the game but.. i cant see option for auto save.. or i miss something ?
The ball is.. just a joke.. Its the worst BaL mode for ever .They remove almost every thing from this mode you start game play and.. that is no explan why or what... its just start.. meh.. end .. meh next game... WOW its can't be so bad.. just its nightmare mode for BaL lovers like me :X

Looks like auto saving is bugged and cannot be turned off. Maybe next patch will fix that. Until then, double-saving is your friend ;)

Enjoyed that write up too, I agree with virtually all of it. I haven't felt cheated yet at all, a stark contrast to PES 2012. In fact I just conceded my first late goal ever, a shitty deflection with six minutes to go. However I ploughed forwards and force home an equaliser in the 89th minute :))

Best thing about the game is how varied the CPU can play. Its light years ahead of previous PES games.
 
I'm playing the Copa and after bumping the game up to 15 minutes it's like a whole new game, much more enjoyable. I absolutely love the shooting in this game. Any complaints about floatyness seem mental, it's been a looooong time since I've enjoyed shooting this much!
 
Yeah I changed to 15 mins as well after advice from here

15 mins, top player, zero assistance = best offline football game this gen, everything has clicked for me.

Scored an amazing goal earlier that barca would have been proud of, little neat passes around the box resulting in my winger having a tap in, feeling of scoring is definitely back this year!

Was supposed to buy FIFA this weekend as well but that's been delayed till next year probably, can't get enough of this game!

Yes we read your post, no need to keep reminding us of it though.

I think I might switch to 15 minute matches for my ML when I start it.
