Just another quickie about the Zero Assistance passing that is constantly blowing my mind. The way they have combined stats and user skill is brilliant. I'm finding that lesser players have their power bar fill up quicker than the more accomplised passers. Which in turn creates a higher user skill to get the same results. I've found the lesser players, such as my defenders, have a lot less success or assistance with both the shorter and the longer passes, but the Playmakers, have so much more room for error with the user input. Awesome, awesome system. I genuinely feel that there is no pass I can't make, especially with the better players. I've never felt even half of this freedom on any PES to date. And I'm playing with Atletico Minero by the way.
Also, a few other things I noticed last night -
The 'Nicknames' that you can earn playing in the ML offline competition are there for you to choose when setting up an Online I.D. They don't, as far as I can see, relate to offline in any way.
The Bananna's and such like that you can earn online, relate to items to be used in Offline ML and possible Online ML (not checked that yet). Bananna's reduce team fatigue. So at least there is a genuine relevance.
The Training Items I actually like, it's not so different to personal training, just with eye candy, and I like the way you can issue them per player. I bought some Training Poles to give one of my wingers some dribbling training. Also, the boot's, as I thought, don't bother me at all. Strangely enough, in previous PES ML campaigns over the years, I would often kit my players out with new boots, especially my strikers if they were going through a dry spell. It was always obviously placebo, but the amount of times I had success after issuing a new set of boots always made me smile. So for me, this really isn't much different.
Lastly, and this is something I definitely need to confirm, is that chants now play out for Home and Away supporters. If this is the case, then I'm a very, very happy man.
The reason I think this maybe the case, is because during a Brasilian League Cup Match last night away from home, I heard the Atletico chants that I had installed being played out. Now, this only ever happened before in Cup or League games when your playing at home. I hadn't installed any chants for Corinthians, so there was no mistake in that regard. I really hope this is actually the case, as I can't see any other reason to hear my Atletico chants.
Also the atmosphere and default chants in the Brasilian league are so much better than anything PES has done before, the atmosphere is very South American and very authentic.
