PES 2013 Discussion Thread

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

Its growing on me.

Still, you see the same instances of old things. The stumbling animation pees me off, and its really hard to out sprint a player on the cpu team.

How do you beat players? ive tried the speed burst but they match it. if i do wriggle past my man does the stumbling animation and i lose it!

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

That is my opinion. There will be option files with updated kits but they take a bit longer to come out. You need to check the ps3 editing forums for those. The only thing is that it is only the kits, names, and transfers that are changed and not a lot else. And it takes ages to copy it from memory stick to ps3. :TUMBLE:

Not anymore, now you can select all the files from the pen drive and copy all at once to the PS3.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

Uhhhhhhh hows everyone finding the servers?

Just been disconnected twice on the PC in MLO games, my internet is fine as far as I know. Keep getting paired with Russians though.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

Had 3 disconnects. ! were my opponent lost connection. 1 were we seemingly both lost connection and 1 where I lost connection.

Overall tho that probably accounts for 6% of games played which is acceptable.

Holding sprint is not effective, double and triple tapping it is better.

Also you have to try and wrong foot a player and be unpredictable, use skilled dribbling and do some feints to catch him off guard, then pick an angle to use the burst move, sometimes they try and slide tackle you earning the foul, seems more effective on the wings by zig zagging.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

Any blockbusters buyers out there confirm if the steelbook is the same size as the ps3 box or are they all xbox 360 case size? And did you get DLC?

The uk got G1(XBOX/360/DVD) size and all or part of europe got G2(PS3/bluray) size. As for the dlc, email them with your order number between 9am and 5pm and they should send you the code.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

yeh true no new stadiums?

but what about the gameplay are you sure??..pc vs console has never been different in the history of pes as far as im aware.

PS- i bought pc version for 18 quid from shopto.

I am only going by what other people are saying, i haven't played both myself. I normally buy both versions and i find the game play similar but this year i thought i would save money and just buy pc version as its cheaper than ps3 and the patches are better.

PS I got mine from zavvi, they only charged me £14.99, not sure why but i'm not complaining. :BOP:

Really, since when? Last year i had to do each separate file.

The players switching just killing me ...

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

Scripting exists, but I've always thought of jenkey's/yair's 'Remove Scripts' buttons as placebo buttons. They're there for show and to make the user feel that something has been done, and perceive their gameplay differently as a result.

As somebody far upthread remarked, the removal of scripts without full access to the source code is impossible. Unless jenkey/yair were working directly with the source code? If so, I tip my hat to them.

well, whatever they did to pes 2012, its just awesome now to play with friends

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

Konami please make CF play Central and stop droping deep or crowding the wingers. Man play AM in Bal is a chore.
If you get a chance play for PSV. Toivonen is a BEAST. Just pass to him and he will score but the coach only plays him every 3 games cos he is emo and gets purple arrow after scoring hatricks.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

Since three months ago, no need to copy one by one files anymore.

That's brilliant, thanks for the info. I am seriously thinking of buying ps3 version. Can't believe believe how much i spend on these games sometimes.

I got PES for pc and ordered FIFA for ps3, but it seems that PES is better on ps3 and i'm hearing that FIFA might be better on pc. :BRICK:

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

Guess who has just got his iPhone 5 delivered, and wants to test the HD video camera out on some cheeky Brasilian action ? :SMUG:

Yair's gameplay patch might help pc.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

bit fraid to ask, but you do mean footy, right?

No, it must mean Jim's giving himself a Brazilian wax job, and he's gonna film it on his new iPhone, right? :PIRATE:

Konami please make CF play Central and stop droping deep or crowding the wingers. Man play AM in Bal is a chore.

Isn't that determined by player cards and tactics?

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

Just had an amazingly absorbing match as Germany, I beat Denmark 1-0 to reverse a number of absolute hammerings the game's been dishing out on zero assistance. I tried switching back to 1-bar and the game was instantly vastly easier. Switch back to zero again again and it's crazy hard, but I'll persevere. The Germany match was a brilliant midfield stalemate with few chances, doesn't sound exciting but it felt so fluid and organic. One sequence saw both teams giving the ball away down in the corner flag, challenges from both teams flying about then the ball goes out and I see a cut scene of my captain screaming at his team mates encouraging them to get stuck in :)

Anyways, on comes veteran Klose with ten mins to go when Denmark had got on top of me and I start using Klose by knocking it long, using long ball and R2 to really loft them up to him, and the amount of first balls he was winning was remarkable. He formed the basis for a rare attack via Klose flicking the ball on to Podolski down the inside right channel, and winning a corner. Then, from the corner he takes a loose ball on his thigh before hooking it into the net. The change of tactics and personnel felt so satisfying.

On another note, I enjoying defending so much in this version. On higher difficulty the AI will skin you if you blindly wade in, but cut off passing lanes, jockey, slow up the play, wait to dive in with either R1 when jockeying or tapping x, and the AI responds by passing backwards, sideways and trying to pick you apart. It's resulting in some fantastic matches and I'd argue that the biggest revolution in this game is with how you have to defend and the way the AI responds to that. THAT makes this game what it is.

As for zero assistance, it's fantastic but I'm having trouble adjusting. It feels almost manual to me. While top players are more noticeable on zero assistance, it does still irritate slightly when Ozil miscues a simple short pass because of my input, the pass is of course my doing but I'd have thought that some top players would still be a bit more forgiving with their assistance. The likes of Pirlo still feel like his stats are really at play even if I make a mistake, but other world class players still feel a bit too manual for my liking. That said, it's the only way to go, I tried one bar passing again and everyone felt like passes were laser guided.

I also love how even on top player that physical challenges are still even. The only issue I do haves is that again the AI seems to easily able to chase you down even when you have a fast player. Player speed and catch-up seem to be a bit of an issue.

I still think this is the best football game ever made though.

I am using Yair's gameplay patch but personally i still don't find it as good as the demo.

That's not a criticism by the way, I just found the demo very very good.

u on ps3? how many bars is normal? 2?

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

I don't get the need to play full manual. The game punishes you for precision errors produced by an error prone device such as the tiny x-box stick. So, you mistake an easy pass with Xavi because the precision in your thumb wasn't accurate enough.

When I play real football and I pass the ball to a player near me, I just think of that direction and my muscular body does the rest. That is IMO how 1-2 bars passing work.

you mean you miss your pass because you pressed the wrong direction? yeah that sounds horrible for a video game :CONFUSE:

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

Nope, I mean whem you miss a simple diagonal pass because you press the stick slightly towards the horizontal/vertical axis.

People have have installed the idea that manual passing divides pros from amateurs. It just divides gamers from non-gamers, and that has nothing to do with having a football brain and being capable to read the game.

(yesss I'm fully aware of the possibilities of manual passing, thank you)

yes. the ball went to where you aimed it.

where are you getting this from? when has anyone ever said this? youre just assuming thats what people think

manual makes the game more realistic and slower. and to not rely on patterns of the game (through balls, chipped through balls, fifa finesse shots etc. all because of the assistance meter decides those type of shots should be going in)

far more acurate to say it divides the people want to play a realistic game of football to those that dont.

Well, with your last sentence you making the same mistake you're pointing me: assuming how people see the game.
Let's just agree to disagree.

Edit: I'm an offline player. I'm globally decreasing short passing accuracy by 20/30. I intend to equally distribute passing mistakes between the AI and I and to make it stats based. What do you think?

I just played full version of FIFA I have to say they have improved the game a lot but when it comes to AI..player technique.. Variation in tactics used by different teams.. Crossing and shooting IMO PES is still the king. One thing il give points to FIFA tho is the variety of online modes would b fun to play against other people especially 2v2. For me next year pes 2014 have to take presentation and online modes to another level. I honestly would be happy if they left this gameplay for another year cause I'm loving this version alot.
