I suck at master league online. It just seems very different to play compared to all other game modes. I think it's because the players are weak. But anyway I've played 7 lost 7 online

what a disappointed night of pes for me
only one goal and no win for me and still i had the opportunity to go to the knockout stages but no i could not get the win in the final group stage game

To people who said boots won't have that huge impact on gameplay, I can say, they do. You're not forced to use them, but... Black boots like I said, look horrible.
I hope there will be some way to edit the boots soon so players have their proper boots, but without stats boosting.
As example C. Ronaldo:
Equipped with F50 Adizero boots.
Yep, his overall went from 98 to 101. Godly is what I can say. Absolute speed, power, freak. (don't mind Pepe being DM, Cup game it was

i always play better when i were fancy boots to, makes me more excited and confident...makes sense...placebo effect,,,,new 150 quid adidas predators vs 30 quid umbros

I can't still believe how some people really gives a f*** about how the colors of players boots are. Really?
The standar way to play this game is using the wide camera, where almost you can see the sponsors on the uniforms. So, its really an issue?
If the gameplay is amazing, i will don't even care if all players are bald!

One thing I've noticed is that the computer generated scores are more realistic now. In 2012 there was always loads of goals which made the FOR and AGAINST figures unrealistic. But now there are quite a few 0-0's and 1-0's, as your table shows.

Btw, most of the complaints, if not all, seem to be coming from PC users. Like info0 pointed out earlier too, I'm not sure why. Even though I don't like mentioning illegal games here, but it does seem like people with these versions have different experiences, especially compared to console ones.
I'm not positive though, it's just a conclusion I reached after reading all the posts here.

I'm baffled by all this stuff I'm reading about 'the game doesn't feel as free as the demo' and 'keepers are worse' etc. really bizarre. I've played the game all day and keeper's have been rock solid.
The game if anything feels slightly more free and random, and compared to 2012 the CPU is vastly more fun to play against. No more banks of nine defenders at the back, more space, players feel more individual, first touch is more noticeable, in fact the game is so superior to 2012 that the only similarity is the game's visuals.
All this stuff about it being almost the same game as as 2012 is utter rubbish quite frankly.

dribbling with an ML default player or one of a similar level is a very painful experience, and for me this is a good example of what disappoints me with 3rd gen PES. By dribbling I mean just running with the ball, no flashy roulettes or nutmegs. This and passing are both major elements in football, and I have a problem with both in PES.
I don't like to always refer to classic PES when I think about these things but a mechanic such as dribbling used to be so accessible. Ximelez could run past an opponent and then fluff the pass, but at least he could run, and you could feel that, it was a blast to play because there was excitement when in possession of the ball and it was possible in a press of a button. Now the equivalent of Ximelez can't get past anyone unless he tries a nutmeg or some other pre determined animation, yet he can play an inch perfect pass almost every time.
Yeah, not fun.
It is interesting to go back to the Ps2 and play a pass with Libermann, and watch it bobble like crazy, noticing it's slightly underhit and finding the recipient completely miss controls it. Then re enact the same scenario with the 2011/12/13 passing module and look at how smooth it is. It takes longer for him to get the ball out of his feet, it's a bit clunky, but the pass itself is perfect.
On the other end of the dribbling spectrum, you have the superstar speed merchants that appear to be able to turn at crazy speed and run through opponents. There is no middle ground. Either players can't beat their marker one on one even once or they have the magic feet that can beat the whole team.
But it's that shift in focus to the passing game which is killing it for me. It's an imbalance, that lesser players can pass well but fail to control the ball well enough to go on a short run down the wing. You think you've skinned your man only for him to get on your side and for that CRIMINALLY AWFUL locked tussle animation to play out which totally kills any immersion.
The passing system from 2011 onwards is well liked as far as I'm aware, so I know that opinion is 'controversial', and of course Konami had to keep competing, they had to bring in that new level of control, but by doing so I really fear that they have permanently broken this series for me.

Mmmmaybe IRL its easy to pass but not dribble passed players?
I mean even a pub player can pass the ball about easier and more likely than he can dribble with close control and pace...though as a representation in the video game perhaps the sluggish passes is better for weak players?

yeah i dunno what youre talking about, dribbling is one of the great things this game brings. maybe try not sprinting so much and try to wrong footed your oppenent instead - if thats what youre doing
but the stumble animation is fucking stupid.

the fact wrong footing defender is so important, is a big part of it
if i wrong foot a defender by out smarting him - feinting one direction and going the other - then i can get past my man, and i can do that with most players, even right now with my crappy MLO attackers.. but im not gonna risk it using my crappy defenders who have low agility/pace/dribbling stats.. it just feels right
look at this goal i scored with manindinho tonight who i is rated 62 or 67 (forget) as a striker

But a goal like that is too far the other way, it's crazy. I know it sounds contradictory of me now, but I wouldn't want to dribble like THAT with a player of that ability. If that is online I'd argue that makes a difference. The CPU can read where your going much better than a human opponent can.
The argument in my original post came from extended play today against the CPU, where I found wing play was largely uninteresting because of how difficult/unsatisfying it was to beat one man, and try them for pace. You can't seem to do that in this game, you just get locked in that damn animation and fall over the ball. The game forces you to use the pre set tricks and skills/ dashes to get past one player, and I personally dislike this.
After having no luck on the wing I played possession, keeping the ball in their half, probing outside the box waiting for the gap then slotting in a through ball to score. I just feel like there's only one way to play against CPU atm, however, despite all that negativity, I still want to play more and see if it will grow on me.

his dribbling isnt great, just look at how far the ball goes ahead of him, and how long it took him to turn
secondly, your post makes sense now. heres your answer: its not the dribbling, it's the ai.
i had the same problem to on demos, you cant beat your man, i posted that annoyance on here a few times actually, but i always knew vs humans that wouldnt be the case, and it isnt, against humans its awesome
