yeah thats what i felt to, which is why my L2 button is always down

i did try a few games just normal 0bar and from those games it seems like there was more of a problem with the receiving player getting the pass, like it would go behind him more often then using L2. that was only a few games though,

its easier to have L2 always down anyways, instead of having to press it, especially for for manual crossing and some skills like the low drive shot

there are online lobbies, but just for friendlys by now.
this will change with patch or dlc by mid of october as konami stated already.

about mlo i have no clue, as i am not playing this mode.

Connect your console to your router (hard wired) then try again.

I had the same message when I first loaded it up.

In other news, headers are horrid and I can't score after four 10 minute matches. Even getting chances is tough.

did you play five quick matches in MLO already?

You have to play 5 games to get ranked, and then you can enter MLO competitions, and there´s no D5 competitions as there are no divisions established yet. There´s just that competition that allows everibody to enter, but you have to enter at the specific time of the competition, if its 17:00 you only can enter past 17:00 and until the number of slots are full.

I keep getting a message saying its about NAT settings or something when I try to join a competition, it says I can only play ranked 1 v 1 matches which by the way have incredible at times and lag free :)

Oh if its about NAT problems then you will have to open ports on your internet router.

If you are playing via wireless try and connect it trough a cable.

But most of the times this is solved with port opening in routers.

I find that I agree with most of Jimmy's opinions, he's a football purist and enjoys playing real football, not ping-ponging it upfield and hoping to score out his arse.

So I started an offline ML with Newcastle since there's a first time for everything. Top player.

First thing I do is what I've dreamed about since demo 1; sign Ronaldinho!

First match against West Ham away. 0-2. Hm.
Second game against Man Utd away. 1-5. Hm.
Third game against Sunderland away. 1-2. Hm.

At this point I was ready to rant about PES 2012.5 and whatever have you. But I kept playing, Europa League against Sporting, 1-1. And now a solid 3-0 against Everton in the league.

But holy hell, the Man U game was awful. In so many ways. One thing I have noticed that is more PES 2012-like than demo-like is the difficulty. What I mean is the CPU opposition seem to once again have a slight edge when it comes to passing. When it comes to retaining the balls. When it comes to winning the second balls. Hopefully this is something that I as a player can work at and improve.

Just played my first game (PC version with 1 pass assistance and 0 speed)

Genoa vs Marseille.

I lost 1-0 but I'm happy that most of my concerns from the demo (player switching, lack of freedom/on-rail running, loud dribbling SFX, easy wingplay etc.) have been addressed.

Doesn't fulfill its potential but I think I'll enjoy PES this year. One criticism would be that the ball feels a tad bit too light but other than that it's pretty good and I know the more I play it the better it will get. I'm also happy that this year 0 speed seems decent. I usually play -1 speed because 0 always felt too fast. Not this year. Online will be more enjoyable for me this time around for this reason.

Two good footy games for me this year :)

Can't wait to get going with Master League Online. Gotta go to work first tho :(

He's been used mostly as a substitute when I play Ronaldinho on the left and Jonas on the right. Last game he got a chance to start though and he did well. Might take Jonas' place if I decide to go with Jonas at right back.

Am i the only one who is bothered by the lack of choice of ball type in MLO and quick ranked matches? I know its not the biggest flaw but doesnt it shit u playing with that hideous pes ball everytime? Cant stand it

che can not put players in the Copa Libertadores selection! and before they could! is a big mistake! convocables players shrinks lot of selections of Latin America! anyone know if it will correct? is true that does not let you copy the faces of the Copa Libertadores in edit mode or not?

Okay, my 2p worth!

It looks and appears like 2012. At first, it even plays like 2012.

Had a wonderful first training game v Anderlecht, lost 2-0, Superstar, zero assists. Brilliant game.
Second game lost 2-0 to Spurs. Still getting used to the changed mechanics from the demo, things felt bad, wasn't happy. My heart was sinking, and fast. 3rd game, a 2-0 win v Southampton. Then a 1-0 away win v QPR, fantastic game. And then lastly a 1-0 Europa League loss to Sporting away.

It's taken me basically 5 games to start understanding the changed mechanics from demo 2. BUT - after persevering, I can safely say it is just the most brilliant, strategic, stat orientated footy game, EVER!!

Quite simply, I am in total awe of the CPU AI, and the ways the game are unfolding. This is 15 minute, Superstar, zero assists.

I haven't had the same match twice yet, either in terms of game make-up or goals. There's new animations and the little tussles for the ball are just excellent. Nothing wrong with shooting. Passing I initially thought was bad....it takes time. Give it at least 10 games guys if you're thinking it's like 2012.....it really isn't once you understand what has changed and why.

One thing I will say, is that the game has really made me understand how good the demo teams were in terms of each and every player at the highest level being replicated. Now I basically really on Gerrard and Suarez for inspiration. My Liverpool team FEEL like a mediocre side, if you know what I mean. THIS IS AWESOME and something that I've missed for years. I was trying to play with Liverpool like I was playing with Bayern and Juve etc etc. You just can't. Your superstar players now really are the ones that make a difference in the right context. Gerrard feels heavy, and unresponsive, but he can knock players off the ball and wade through tackles. His passing is top notch and he can hit those long raking defence splitting balls.

What can I say guys, I do have sympathy for those that initially said it was 'just like 2012' and discarded it. But you honestly need to give it 10 games I would say. The movement, positioning, shifts of play, defences patterns etc are just absolutely brilliant. It is just a total football sim. If you want to go end to end and have 100% fun, then it is not for you. This requires patience, a knowledge of each and every player on the ball and how responsive they are, a knowledge of the opposition players, and a football brain.

The amount of natural randomness in the game is also staggering. I don't think it's even possible to play 'a way' all the time. The game just shifts sands all the time. My 1-0 game v QPR was a point in case. Moments of dullness, moments of end to end, moments were you're on top, and moments where you can't keep the ball for more than two passes.

And finally....the CPU AI which a lot of people have been saying is crap and one-dimensional....fk me, are they serious?!? This game has the best CPU AI, the best CPU build up play (full retail CPU build up play is much slower on times and keep possession more) and an absolute minimum in cheat scripts.

I'm so glad I bought this today, I'm off to cane it all night.

The ever reliable ShopTo have let me down :( Although I'm more worried that it's going to be lost in the mail and I'll have to wait 15 days for a refund as they dispatched it on Wednesday.

Not worth buying it elsewhere either because if it turns up it'll cost me a couple of quid to return it by recorded delivery. FML.

likewise m8 will not be buying this till late oct if at all at least there will probably be some pre owned ones as usual. no way am i playing full price for a half finished game. have bought f1 2012 instead to tide me over for now.

Said fuck it and bought the game.

First off I am really impressed by the pace, passing, shooting and attacking movement. Very satisfying to play inch perfect passes to a player making a diagonal run. :SMUG:

I don't understand how people can say that the shooting is floaty? Proper positioning, posture and direction selection work flawlessly. I have scored some screamers from >30 yds by following these basic principles.

I also really love the new dribbling options. The slow dribble is perfect to decrease the pace of the game, hold up the ball and wait for better options.

Basically everything works well when attacking or passing. I am glad I decided to buy it.


Now on to my main complaint:

Why oh why is the defensive AI so different for the CPU and my team? That pissed me off most about 2012. Your CB are CONSTANTLY split by forward runs. I ain't talking about clever zig zag runs, I ain't even talking about well timed runs. I'm talking about fucking simple, straight elementary runs, every time! It's ridiculous that user CB (of course this doesn't affect the CPU CB) are STILL programmed to LET the CPU forwards run past them.
I can deal with most other flaws, but this shit I cannot abide. I would be ok with it if it happened once every couple matched, I would even be happy with it if it was caused by fatigue, but to have it happen consistently every game, regardless of fatigue or CB skill level is maddening.

I'm gonna go take out my rage on that termite nest in my backyard.

TLDR: Best PES in 5 years, if they would fix the damn CB problem!

Hey sin, have you tried altering tactics to try and stop the ball carrier from being able to hit decisive passes? I play 3 in midfield and rarely have player support above say 12, I don't want players getting ahead of the ball.

May be worth a try.

after 1 game on manual:

- game pace is slower, players move/turn turn, instantly you can feel it
- the power bar is more.... accurate, shall i say. in demo 2 i could tap pass and it would go quite fast, i did in this the game since i was used to it but i kept tapping the ball.... the power bar is definetely more fleshed out, so you have more say over the power
- what were people talking about with floaty shooting? genuinely? was this only PC players? because on xbox it is not there.
