I was playin that on WE10 blue Samurai mode. Holding off Brazil (Adriano) for a 1-1 drawI miss that international challenge more than anything!

I'm thinking that PS3 differs from xbox/pc in terms of some consistencies or lack there of. Because i noticed some differing things on PC and on PS3.. but i won't go off about it just yet.. need to test/hear some more

its not 'utter bollocks'.
the problem with biased fans of any franchise is that you play the game with tinted glasses.
you need to play fifa and pes games with a clear head. I really expected this to be THE pes which brings us back to the good old days.

For those interested in the on line part:
filters works very well, you can choose players with your settings and level. Which indeed makes it a better experience. Lag seemes very mild but then again not too many people have the game.
MLonline: arrow seemed pretty random but i just played a couple of games. gotta test more. Make sure u buy a decent keeper, any keeper below 70 is pretty much rubbish. Don't really like the idea behind as i am more a casual player: people create superteams in a few days, it would take me a few years. I guess a fixed amoout of money would be more welcomed.
Anyway On line it reminds a lot pes6 in its spirit: dribbling and fast breaks and counters are the keys.
I personally don't like the gameplay direction the game has taken with pes 2012/13 but for those who do like this approach it can be a very good game. To me is just feels too flat, lacking the physical side of the beautiful game, on the rail, very linear AI and on top of that poor off line modes.
Good news is it is 30% cheaper than fifa so i guess it is a certainly a good quality/price buy.

Can someone who is a modder tell me about the magic boots, can they be fixed so that when u start your ML game your players and the opponents have different boots, not black boots.
Or can they at least be unlocked so you can put boots on ur players so your whole team doesn't have black boots from the 60's?
I would really appreciate if someone could answer these questions.

you say pes fans are wearing tinted glasses yet say pes fans are playing fifa now... contradictary ??? i think most pes players here would say the franchiese hasnt been up to scratch this gen at all, and in fact like you say a lot of them have been palying fifa while pes has been like that... including me...
personally im not sure how any old school pes3-5 player could not like pes 2013, unless they are so used to fifa that are trying to play pes like fifa.. i just dont understand... the game just feels like a modern, updated and freer pes5 to me, its great!

Forgive my shoddy mini impressions. Right I'll start with brief quick summary for now. Played a few games to test out my fears and worries.
Demo one:
- perfect passing
- shooting
- great pace flow
Really loved this demo, felt really heavy in regards to player movement and ball physics
Demo 2:
- really smooth eradicating the over weighty feel of previous demo
- shooting felt toned down a little, but it more contextual regarding what player you control.
- passing was smooth and fizzed around
- long passes with the likes of pirlo and moutinho didn't feel right in demo 2. Inconsistent to say the least. Even with the likes of pepe and bruno alves in demo 1, I able to spray the ball around perfectly with these players. It was a struggle in demo 2.
Well in the final game i played with all the same teams that were available in both demo's. And I can safely say everything works great.
-passing brilliant again with likes of pirlo and moutinho. And pepe and bruno can spray from the back like it was in demo 1.
-shooting perfect for me. An excellent balance between the two demo's. I would say it leans towards demo 1 in comparison as i can belt in some screamers.
- pirlo is awesome. Midfield play makers make difference to the game. I mean stringing passes together is a joy.
Overall very happy indeed with game play at this moment in time.

Well we had an absolute blast last night for our weekly Lads Night and the PES 2013 premiere. Everybody loved it, and we had some amazing matches, even without the Community Mode or League Mode.
We played 10 minute friendlies (due to the fact there was 6 of us in total) instead of our usual 15 minute games. After playing 5 minute matches of late, 10 minutes felt so much better.
We tried a variety of teams, including teams from the Brasilian League and some of the better stamp of teams from Europe. All of my mates played with 1-Bar assitance to get used to the new game, but I went for Zero Assistance (Bar the shooting), and it was me that definitely had the most control in the passing stakes.
Shooting is superb, not over-powered and very contextual. R2 with power from outside the box is better than PES 2012, and there were some real screamers hit from all over the park from a full range of players.
R2 dribbling went down a storm last night, I scored one with my old boy D'Alessandro which was quite simply-stunning. Using the Right Stick with the Left Stick is amazing. Pushing the Right Stick up or Down then tapping the Left Stick/D-Pad in the direction you are running pulls of some fantastic feints. These are player specific and contextual. Also, rotating the Right Stick in a circle, clockwise, is great for showing the Player ID moves for those represented.
The AI movement is on another level, especially if you don't look to force play, and we saw some quite brilliant new animations for so many different scenarios.
The Commentary is still the shits, and hasn't even been tweaked since last year as far as we could see. The sound FX are still left wanting, but we added some chants and that picked up the atmosphere. But why still only 5 Slots Konami ? FFS. And why no Home and Away chants ? Again ? Arghhh !!
Overall, this game kicks PES 2012's ass, on every level. I appreciate people may feel it's similiar from the outside looking in, mainly due to the fact it looks like it. It's crisper than PES 2012, but not much else. But, it's what happens on the park, and also the fact that if you play it like PES 2012, then it will feel similiar. There are so many new moves and techniques though now to utilise, once you start to bring those into your game, then you begin to scratch the surface of just what is possible. And trust me, it's limitless.

There's another stat that kicks in when you're running with the ball - Dribble Speed. Common description for DS used to be "percentage of your top speed you retain while running with the ball". According to that description, if your DS is around 80, that would decrease your tops speed with the ball close to the 75 (96*0.8 -> 76.8). Pretty much the top speed of the defender without the ball chasing you.
Then factor in form arrow boosts or penalties for you and for the opponents and possible overall CPU AI stat boosts on higher difficulties and that about it.

I really like how the ball physics effect the game. Last night I tried a pass with a player in the centre cirlce facing the side line, I seen a run being made on the wing and without altering the passers body I tied a quick pass towards the corner flag, the ball started off by heading in the right direction but the amount of spin generated by making the pass with the wrong body position bent the ball into the box and the keeper came and collected it. I also seen a goal from the CPU where the player ran onto the ball outside the box and inline with the post, struck through it with the outside of the boot diagonally and up, the ball bent around my CB who was blocking the route to goal and flew in the top corner. I think the possibility is there, if you have the understanding(which I dont), to play some very clever passes and shots.

It was already going to be unreadable around pes launch period, but now because of that bootgate and missing League mode people will be more than happy to judge negatively the game, even if the gameplay has nothing to do with it

I wasn't going to post this as I wouldn't want to ignite anything in here, but you're asking for it badly. No one cares what your background is, it doesn't hold any water, sorry. I've been a ISS/PES and Fifa player since 1993, does that make my opinion any better than anyone? No.
PES is not a million miles behind Fifa. That is one hell of an exaggeration I can't and won't stomach. I've been playing the Fifa 13 demo and for the life of me I simply cannot comprehend what about it do you call football. There are a few good things I like, but the one basic thing that it should do better is freaking wrong. Players skating around the pitch is not what I call football. Ball control doesn't represent football. Dribbling doesn't represent football. I simply cannot stand it and makes me so angry at a huge company like EA who cannot get this basic thing right. Seriously how hard is it to implement? They have all the equipment and the money required for this, yet it still looks ugly as hell. They call it a simulation yet they can't simulate what I mentioned. I hate the skating with a passion. Give me Fifa 08 with all it's faults any day over this.
I find PES gives me what I want football-wise on the pitch. It might be weaker in other areas but on the pitch is all I care about. The football experience. A game can have all the fluff in the world but when it comes to the real part - football - it fails. Then I'd stop playing that game because I won't be sitting there staring at fluff. Fgs I endured all the PES blandness (not football) way back when and used pen and paper for all the scouting, leagues, etc yet I never complained. Why? Because the football part of it always pulled me back. I loved every second of it, every moment. Take the notebook with me everywhere comparing players on my list then setting tactics based on their strengths.
This is what I'm looking for. I know we are in an age where all this should be long gone but I seriously couldn't care any less if a football game gave me what I wanted from it on the pitch. I'm ready to get back to pen and paper if that's what it takes. And PES gives me that, not Fifa.
In conclusion, PES on the pitch isn't poor, Fifa is. And I'm not one bit biased. I couldn't care less what company it is that gives me what I want. It can be a one man company/project with childish crayon drawings of Chris Camara in the background but gives me the best on the pitch football gaming experience I'm looking for.
And this is my honest opinion.
And since you've made it pretty clear how poor PES is and you're so sad people are still playing it, then I would suggest you refrain from posting in this thread if you keep on going with similar posts as above with nothing to add, as you'd then be labelled a troll and winding people up. The same goes for the Fifa thread as well. There's a big difference between posting positives/negatives and stating your reasons with constructive criticism, and trolling.

They call it a simulation yet they can't simulate what I mentioned. I hate the skating with a passion. Give me Fifa 08 with all it's faults any day over this.
I find PES gives me what I want football-wise on the pitch. It might be weaker in other areas but on the pitch is all I care about. The football experience. A game can have all the fluff in the world but when it comes to the real part - football - it fails. Then I'd stop playing that game because I won't be sitting there staring at fluff. Fgs I endured all the PES blandness (not football) way back when and used pen and paper for all the scouting, leagues, etc yet I never complained. Why? Because the football part of it always pulled me back. I loved every second of it, every moment. Take the notebook with me everywhere comparing players on my list then setting tactics based on their strengths.
This is what I'm looking for. I know we are in an age where all this should be long gone but I seriously couldn't care any less if a football game gave me what I wanted from it on the pitch. I'm ready to get back to pen and paper if that's what it takes. And PES gives me that, not Fifa.
In conclusion, PES on the pitch isn't poor, Fifa is. And I'm not one bit biased. I couldn't care less what company it is that gives me what I want. It can be a one man company/project with childish crayon drawings of Chris Camara in the background but gives me the best on the pitch football gaming experience I'm looking for.
And this is my honest opinion.
And since you've made it pretty clear how poor PES is and you're so sad people are still playing it, then I would suggest you refrain from posting in this thread if you keep on going with similar posts as above with nothing to add, as you'd then be labelled a troll and winding people up. The same goes for the Fifa thread as well. There's a big difference between posting positives/negatives and stating your reasons with constructive criticism, and trolling.

Agreed..some people just can't accept that PES is a poor game these days.

I wish they'd bring back the Random Selection Match from Pro Evo 6. It is still the best game mode I've ever played for matches against mates. Every match different.

And please don't get me wrong, that is my opinion. People can enjoy Fifa for what it is but you don't see me marching in there spouting crap like I'm sad they're playing it. It's their choice and they're getting what they want from it. Same thing applies here, and with every game.
