Yes I agree with this too.

'clunky' is great way to describe this.
 
If we listed the faults in ML we could be here all day.

Agree with the poster who said lack of real kits and transfers plus OFs are wearing a bit thin now. I'm 37 and don't have the time or enthusiasm I once had for editing.

I'd rather they go back to just National teams if they can't sort out easy things like transfers.

The retail version, on superstar , master League with Atletico Mineiro, i felt like i was again playing Pes 12. Felt cheated and disappointed after two games. Played Demo 1 to death; once again the final version takes the easy ;"arcadish" route. Why?! Versus a mate, unassisted(-shooting), it was good, but it´s not like demo 1, no way, no how. Gutted, again.

this is what annoys me. Demo 1 was soooo good. Then Konami decide to ruin a good thing.

They do it every year now its laughable.

Its not the same as demo two...quite different really. The difference? Demo 2 was FUN.

This is PES 2012.5, like someone else put it....does not justify full price. Specially with all the modes and features that have been removed and this ridiculous boot system.

I looked at the ball types in the game and about 16 out of 23 balls are generic $hitty PES type balls. WHo wants to play with that? The good thing about FIFA, for all its shortcomings, is that you can fool yourself into thinking you are watching a real game when you play it, correct boots, kits, adboards, atmosphere, etc. PES gameplay is ok but everything else lately just outweighs any positives the gam,eplay may have...and this is from a diehard PES fan from the ISS days

Almost certainly. I guess he's not going to come out and say "hey, we've removed league mode this year, PES fans!". Not if he likes his job.

I hate the shooting. Its bad. Really spoils the game for me. Presentation is standard Konami fare too (poor).

Still way behind FIFA in my very honest opinion but a good game.

It is a joke taht Konami are charging full price for this game! Im getting a facking refund

This game PES2013 v1.00 has all issues from PES2012(1.00/1.01/1.02/1.03) that were fixed in 1.06
PES2013 v1.00 is big stepback for gaming

It's a fair point mate but it does leave the old PS3 rather redundant then.

Its sacrilegious for me to say it, but as a stalwart from the original PES PS2 days I'm beginning to wonder if i'm in a relationship that is no longer satisfying me as it once did.

I tried both the PES2013 demos and the FIFA13 demo and I think if the latter was slowed down then it really does for the first time become a viable option for me with the career mode.

That's not to say that I didn't really enjoy the PES demos, I think they were excellent from a playability point of view, but maybe it's time for a gaming mid-life crisis and a spot of 'playing away from home'....

FFS. My steelbook version didn't come today, and after reading all this I'm considering returning it unopened for a refund and just get fifa like I have done since 2007.
How did this game go from demo 1 =loved it, demo 2 = loved it, to people not saying anything good things about it.? Gonna look on some other forums and if the general feeling is its just pes 12.5 ill send it back and get fifa.

This is extremely disappointing as I have been looking forward to returning to pes for the last few weeks for a fresh challenge and fun, but it's all sounded rubbish now.... No league mode, silly ML mode, Laggy online and they can see

your arrows! FFS

Don't know if this has been posted but jon murphy just tweeted "@JonMurphy_PES: #PES2013 Dear PES fans. I'm waiting to hear back from the team in Japan re League Mode. I've made feelings very clear"

Erm jon we told you this weeks ago.and if PR doesn't have a voice when the decision is made wtf are you there for?!
 
I'm not very chuffed at all with it to be honest. Linear AI, softly conceded goals as per usual, ML untouched apart from an awful choice of new feature. Haven't had the same feeling of "go on, one more game" I usually get. Shots are definitely too floaty. The idea isn't bad it's just the implementation, most players can thump a ball in real life, but this doesn't allow you to unless the power stat is high. I think it should be more like players over "60" can hammer a shot, those over "85" have less chance of mis-kicking, especially if their accuracy is high.

I'll persevere with the game over the weekend.

It really does. :(

After reading the instruction manual, it states that the Community option is being released as an Online Community option. This truly is ridiculous. Arguably the best offline feature that Konami has introduced in years has now completely disappeared ? For the love of God, why ? :CONFUSE:

Absolutely devastated by this news.

You know what would make the ML bearable? Let you the choice if you want to play with a division 2 or not...

The structure is bearable without a division 2...

It can't be overstated how much I'm disappointed by this. I feel your pain. I want league mode as an alternative to ML, you want it to play your mates on a Friday night. Both of us are stuffed.

Such a shame because I was looking forward to this game more than any PES since PES5. The gameplay is excellent. I was absolutely gutted to have to cancel my pre-order by I want to know more about the final product before I commit to it.

Of course he would, hope it's not the old chestnut of "It will definitely be in next years game". Hope I'm wrong PES without league mode is a disaster. I swore I would never buy FIFA having played every title since ISS. . . . . I'm not so sure now.

I guess I can imagine what happened there. He kinda did it with Bootsgate and I guess he got a proper bollocking from Konami. So when he later found out about the lack of League mode, he kept his mouth shut and waited for the reaction from the community before doing anything.

No League Mode is there twice! :LOL: and I agree. I'd also put Boots 2 or 3 times more in there, just to show how fucking aggrieved I am.

Exactly my friend.

Then you could play La Liga, the Sagres Liga or Brasileirao pretty much as a standalone league mode albeit one with this boots nonsense.

Mate, I chuckled to myself when you mentioned the old 'pen and paper' thing for the leagues. I genuinely believed that would/could never happen in this day and age. I even smiled whilst reminiscing when that was the case, way back when.

And now it looks like this is actually the case. Trust me, I ain't smiling now. :(

That's how we used to roll when I was at high school. We used to go over to my mate's every week to do a four player mini league on ISS Deluxe on his SNES. We would write down all the scores and goalscorers and tot up all the stats ourselves. Great times.

But we are in 2012 now. :FAIL:

I still recall on PES2 or 3 I think when there were no hooped shirts, but their was a lovely collection of strange oversized heads....

Apologies for saying so again, but having bought every iteration of this game since the days of ISS, I'm really not sure (despite the great gameplay) that it's actually value for money this year.

Like Gerd, I have two children (albeit younger) and I don't get the time I did before, but still love the longevity of playing with a crud team that you can take to glory over a number of years, or in my case mid-table mediocrity.

ML used to offer me that but there appear to be so many caveats with this version.

it all went wrong in the ML went real currency came in and the player trade option went out!

To all those poeple that don tlike the game please send it to me. My copy is delayed by a week thanks to the fuckheads that work at customs. Non of the retailers got it.
