PES 2013 Discussion Thread

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

Well.. i was have chance to play full game, one fried share his copy with me last night and i'm not so happy how i was after playing first demo ! The game is .. really strange but... i have feel that every pass use same animation again again and again ..in first demo was like 1000 animation only for passing but .... now its like just one . The players switching is still not that good...The game is feel bit faster and sharp, is to easy to score goals , i'm confuse..will play more this night.. but definitely at this stage I am far from thinking to buy me copy, how I was decided after the first demo .

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

KONAMI break the piggy bank for PES 2014 development. You need EU programmers and knowledge badly. ;)

Funny I read one of your posts and said to myself that you were going to turn around and say that the full game is bad. (its a thing i do every year)

As for the above please dont think that the game with EU programmers is gonna be any better because it is EU programmers. There are brilliant people all over the world

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

+1 here. That PK system was excellent (although the dink kick was almost impossible to miss). But now it's totally arcadey.

BTW, Jimmy Grimble I think I watched it once. Isn't Robert Carlyle in it? He was the coach, I guess?

Yes and Yes, the dink and Carlyle. Spot on.

A quick run through what you can expect from the first DLCs and the PC demo release.

Hi PES fans! First of all we wanted to apologize to our PC fans for the delay in our second PC demo. But we bring you good news! The second PC demo will be available tomorrow, September 20th, for download.

The reason for this unfortunate delay was due to a security breach in the demo. On the first demo, some of the hidden elements in the build were exposed, releasing information that was still not made official by our own channel. For this reason, given that we did not have the time or resources to technically enhance the security of our second demo, a decision was made to release the demo after launch.

But as the saying goes, better late than never, so we would like to take the opportunity to thank all our PC fans for their patience and understanding in this issue.
2 DLCs are scheduled for release on September 20th and mid October

Our first DLC will be available on release and will be packed with goodies, including 3 new Spanish stadiums, from the newly promoted teams, and the latest kits for 37 licensed clubs, including Marseille, AJAX, FC Porto, Besiktas and Corinthians.

The second DLC, released in mid October, will enhance the online aspect of the game. It will not only make finding friends to play with easier but also include a brand new Ranking system. You will be able to play a simultaneous match with up to 8 different people and be able to create Communities with your friends to track and monitor their results. The DLC will also fix existing issues found in the Step-up tutorials.

The latest DLC will also activate the myPES Facebook app which is completely revamped this year, adding a whole set of achievements for the ultimate bragging rights!
Online Pass Activation delayed for PS3

The Online Pass authentication will not be available until after our mid October patch for PES2013.

Until the patch becomes available, Konami servers will not require an Online Pass authentication, so they will not be requesting the Online Pass code from our users, who will still be able to access the online content.
After the patch is released, the Online Pass authentication process will be in place, however the activation date will be different depending on your territory:

North America, South America and Asia: starts from October 11
Europe: starts from November 13

So please make sure you keep your Online Pass code in a safe and secure place until the authentication is required. Remember that Konami will NOT re-issue a new Online Pass code in the case that the original code is lost or misplaced.

Don't forget that the game releases tomorrow September 20th in EU and September 21st in UK! So get ready to jump on the pitch with PES 2013!

News released today. Good old Konmai releasing a game that's not even finished. Community update mid-october, think I may wait til March next year when they have finished the game through I'm guessing numerous patch updates.

Just seen jon murphys twitter, he has it seems contacted the japanese team over the league mode.

Hopefuly this will get them to add it back in.

I have hit a rocket with Clichy who has kicking power rated at 67, I know this because I checked the stat after the shot because I was surprised at how powerful the strike was.
Fair enough. Might be bad luck on my half. I've experienced more disappontment than not so far and I am timing the strikes perfectly. There might be joy over the horizon with a mass stats edit or a Yair25 patch or a Konami patch - but I'm losing the will to find or wait for a good set-up before settling down. Last year was enough with the amount of patches, having to edit everyone to the worst level of injury prone just to see realistic amounts of injuries in ML.

Feel a bit empty in terms of footy games this year. Always been buzzing about one or the other. Put over 300 hours into ML in each of the last two games. Feeling similarly disappointed over the latest F1 game by Codemasters. Lots of promise and lots of letdown, with the prospect of patches having an effect of god knows what else.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

I'm still pissed Konami got rid of the 'manual' penalties from PES 2010 and 2011, they were perfect in my opinion.

So many people complained they couldn't do it. But they just didn't take the time to learn it.

The current system is just pathetic, better systems were used on the ZX Spectrum era of games.

Fifa 13 is much more elaborate. Wish they could use a better way for Goalkeepers animations on penalties also as its like point you stick left or right or just leave it idle. Surely they should be able to be directed in more directions than this.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

Demo#1 I loved it.

Demo#2 liked it and then started to love it.

PES 2013 full game... The very feeling of PES 2012 re-appeared again.

Starting with shooting which feels underpowered now a lot, balls feels heavier, but passing is nice and zippy. Goalkeepers are a bloody fucking joke though. Winning 8-0 is not a problem as they let every shot in!!!!

Through the middle it goes... Oh look goal scored zzz. Unfortunately near post syndrome is here too.

Defensive AI is better, cheating scripts are less visible and pacey players now can have some head start vs slower defenders/midfielders.

Player ID is great as usual...

Sadly, the amount of howlers and bad things in full game diminish pluses :/.

Night games look HUELLVA BAD, chants choice is also shit (KONAMI ffs get rid of that La La La La Xmas Man Utd song please!!!), the atmosphere on Spanish stadiums is better (not but much, but at least more believable).

Commentary is as boring as ever, absolutely couldn't hear any new lines, yet. Put me to sleep, so turned this off. Already.

Master League is slug fest. Optional boots/training or not, this is ruining any realistic experience. All players on YOUR and OPPOSITION teams start with black coal boots. Not using other boots will be very hard, trust me on that! Default boots just look sad.

The AI build up is more visible than in both demos, but the AI will still play that long over the top of defense pin point through balls out of nowhere. Making their striker score 1 on 1 pretty much every time. -.-

No league mode for now. Hoping for DLC to add it back.

Cameras and no options to set them up is terrible. There is absolutely NO CAMERA setting which I like in this game. :/.

Playing on 0 passing is a joy, but why do it when you can't appreciate the game fully? Oh yes, the game on PC on 0 speed feels like something in between -2 and -1 speed on PES 2012.

Sad to say this, but I cannot see people coming back to PES full game this year either. KONAMI ruined full game, once more :(. Off to play some older titles again. Boo-hoo :(.

FIFA will remain strong once more this year. KONAMI break the piggy bank for PES 2014 development. You need EU programmers and knowledge badly. ;)

Its the keepers why i dislike pes 13, it seems no one else cares. I scored from kick off from the halfway line with messi. The keepers are wack, they thumble the ball too much in the 6 yard area. Seriously i though they were better in the demo.

funny aint it, as pes scorelines on ps3 have always been 'controlled' by the goalkeepers

Believe it or not you'll be reading this from a lot more people.

Unless, KONAMI fixes the issues fast (will we get 4 or 5 patches like last year?).

Player switching is better, but not as good as it was in PES 5 days, Goalkeepers needlessly rushing out is pissing me off too.

0 bars passing feels on rails a bit too. For those interested ;)

Manual shooting is ace. FEEL THE POWER :D.

However, like I said, there is too little good things to overcome the bad things.

As to EU programmers, I put it wrong. It shouldn't be about programmers per-se, but football knowledge, culture and such. It may turn their views upside-down LOL.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

I'm not so sure about that conspiracy theory. I mean really, who gives a shit about boots ? I would say that type of marketing would be better served towards the Fifa's strongest demographic.

I don't have the answer, but I certainly don't buy into that.

I know it sounds like some wacky conspiracy theory but there's no other explanation. It's not like this is laziness, or something that just slipped their mind - they made a conscious decision to remove two whole game modes.

At first glance this seems a ridiculous, almost suicidal thing to do. I mean, look at it: they added full licensing and a massive stadium pack for La Liga, then deliberately removed the option to play La Liga. And this wasn't a mistake, it was a choice. There must be a reason for it. The only possible reason is that it's something to do with Master League, because it leaves Master League as the only option if you want to play a league season. Why are they so keen for us to only play Master League? What's so important about it this year? There's only one major change, and we all know what that is.

So either Konami are so incredibly proud of this new feature (despite wanting to keep it pretty quiet until release) that they're happy to butcher their game to force people to use it... or there's something in a contract somewhere. Look at those new online boot ads someone posted a while back, which make exactly the same wild claims for the boots as PES 2013, in exactly the same way - is that a coincidence? We're not talking about Zionist UFOs assassinating JFK here, we're talking about a corporation making a lucrative deal with some other corporations, despite it having a detrimental effect on their customers' experience. Is that so hard to imagine? It does happen every day, after all.

I mean, I hope I'm wrong, because if I'm wrong there's a chance it might be fixed later (if it even can be). But if I am wrong, I'd LOVE to know the real reason for this appalling fuck-up. If it's not just corporate greed, then someone's head should roll - and I don't think either we or Konami would miss that head at all.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

For me if they sort the piss poor keepers out i will be happy, O and add league mode.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

Has anyone noticed that sometimes a player will take a heavy touch whilst dribbling, I have had the ball get away from me a few times. I thought I noticed it in PES2012 also but put it down to some sort of bug but I guess they have added error into the dribbling, someone here was hoping PES or FIFA would introduce this. I think its a nice touch, it could be a bit more frequent though.

that definatley happens, if your holding R2 It will not...

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

Just hope those sites that have contact with Konami back off with feedback threads for at least two weeks, give people time to become accustomed to the game first rather than knee jerking.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

For me if they sort the piss poor keepers

you must have a broken copy or something as i find the keepers excellent.

while the game isn't perfect, the comparing to pes 2012 is a joke. I find it a good step forward in right direction, biggest step since ps2 days easily.

I really don't understand why as soon as someone says something negative about pes/fifa, they have to quote and saying about its fifa/pes this year again for me.

It's a pes 2013 thread, which means it's purely pes 2013 discussion related, same with fifa thread.

yup

9/10 people on here were slating demo2 shooting for being like pes2012, but after a few days most people seem to have come around

i actually think demo2 shooting could do with some extra error, the power is good but i still think i can pop off too many good shots when my guys body is in no position to do so, same with some passes also

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

Now working in a software development world, I'm just baffled with how Konami could remove things from what is essentially an incremental update. It's one thing to take out game modes and features if you're doing something major on the gameplay side - I dig that - but taking things out when you're just tweaking an engine?

The whole thing feels to me like they pledged to do really big changes to the league modes last year, then failed to deliver them, and didn't have a back up plan. Then the big wigs said screw it, we want to release before FIFA, just put out what you've got. It happens.

Regardless, it's a shambles and despite my long, long love affair with PES I won't be giving Konami any money this year. Having paid for the last 4 years and been disgusted by each in about a week of playing, I just can't face it again.

What sucks is that I don't even love FIFA. So probably no footie game for me this year. Woest me, off to play Borderlands 2 while waiting for Dishonoured ;)

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread (Warez talk of any kind will be punished with a ban!)

that definatley happens, if your holding R2 It will not...

I find R2 a bit funny this year. In the past it was the close control button but now its more like a strafe button. Do you think that just the stick on its own is like the old R2 and the new R2 adds a new dimension to dribbling? I have done some fantastic turns using it sparingly, I used to hold R2 down alot but now the majority of the movement is done with just the stick then a dab of the button at the right moment. When stationary I like to hold R2 to throw the opponent off balance but otherwise I dont use it half as much.

I guess you need to turn off the arrow.. I have no problem with this actually. I feel if you need to have the arrow on.. then the other user should be able to see... I see this as really not much different than in real life when a footballer telegraphing his pass... that's basically what your doing holding L2 down with manual guidance arrow on imo you also can trick confuse the user by using that arrow on as well

can anyone that has played online confirm to me if you can use control the manual keeper online? L1 + R3

thanks

It sounds like a far-fetched theory but I'd put money on that being the reason league mode was removed. Just don't see any other logical explanation for it.

Also I think plenty of people care about the boots thing. A quick peek around a few PES forums will show you that. It's down to authenticity at the end of the day. People want to see players wearing the correct boots as much as they want to see correct player faces, hairstyles and kits - all of these things are typical Konami strong points.

Feeling similarly disappointed over the latest F1 game by Codemasters. Lots of promise and lots of letdown, with the prospect of patches having an effect of god knows what else.

I hear Codies took the regular season mode out of that game too? So all you can do is the career mode.

What is it with devs these days?

Yeah they have, stating it was "barely used". A backlash from some players suggests an error in data collection, or perhaps phallus growths on every Codies dev as standard. I've pretty much zero faith left now in any dev at all, on consoles especially. Mainly why I play more retro games these days.

Don't let the boo-boys get you down mate. I've been hammering the new F1 game for the past 2 days and it's terrific. Much better than 10 and 11.

I still agree with this, it's not a massive conspiracy just basic advertising. Konami did, after all, used to have adverts pop up in the game via your online connection so why not this? This is typical of how advertising works, if they can pay enough to get Konami to funnel a large portion of their advertising demographic into regularly seeing their advertised products then they will. Money talks.
