Feedback please peeps on the shooting!

All players should be capable of popping one off from distance given the time and space of course. I could do in demo one no problems. Had some jump out of my seat moments.
Please don't tell me they have reverted back to pes 2012 limp miserable excuse for shooting. On the fence!

I think you're going to have that widget downloaded later in a patch or DLC. Maybe that would add more features.

I love playing with small teams but in pes 2013 it is a bit painful, small teams are so slow and sluggish! Anyway high through balls are way too floaty, shooting is indeed not very rewarding.

I still think pes 2011 should have been the very basis from where to build the game, i am not a fan of the direction the game has taken with pes 2012/pes 2013. Shooting, animation, visuals, ML on line and ML offline structure were excellent in pes 2011. It needed better AI and off the ball moves.

Is it just me or if u take inter in the ML then u are in the CL? maybe i am being delusional!

This makes me want to throttle one of developers, especially the guy who okays the shooting.
Anybody else want to counter this?

Demo 1 had over powered for sure, but I'd rather they stuck with that over floaty shooting.

If they have fucked up the shooting once again, it really messes the game up for me, because I never feel the urge to pop one off from distance. Instead, I end up randomly passing it about until I can get directly inside the box where it go in. Same problem with pes 2012.

Give me the overpowered shooting of demo 1 or the consistency of demo 2, at least it provides some satisfaction.

Of course I am yet to play game, but if it's worse than demo 2, oh dear!

Well, personally i played only demo 1 before full ver so the jump is bigger.
Anyway for me is not only the shooting the problem as the whole gravity setting IMO

This morning on line was not avaiblable. i'll check it out tonite. Anyway i don't really understand why they are doing with the ML. what's this thing about boots and cutscenes? who cares?

same issues from PES2012 are in PES2013

AI cheat (passing/freekick/stamina/catchup)
AI overpowered dribbling (unrelated to player grades)
weak shoots
weak keeper
weak direction detect
stadium code...

Is it just me or have the keepers got worse since the demo? I only played demo 1, but there is a lot more parrying into the centre of the goal than before.
 
After last year perhaps it's better not to buy this game on day one and wait for more solid feedback on the finished product?

Hearing that content is being held back until October made my mind up.

What worked for me:

Push the analogue stick right, tap R1 while still holding direction, hold R2 for 1/2 second while releasing all other buttons, keep R2 held and tap shoot + aim at the keeper.

*Disclaimer* I may have just been lucky.

Keep ya wig on! Wasn't having a go! Just interested to see if your opinions we based on the demo or retail.

Yeah, I think I might hold off for a week or two watching the feedback trickle in. Feels like ground hog day though with pes. Oh dear, I think I had my fill already with pes. Same old story.

Sometimes I wonder if the review copy of the game is demo 2 with all the features.

we already have seen many people saying that demo 2 was far worse than demo 1 because of shooting, then after one week a lot of people begin to change idea

as long as shot direction is decided by us it will be good enough for me

Ah well, at least CEX are giving £26 cash for it. Not all is lost, although I do hope you're all just being negative Nancys and I'll enjoy it when it comes.

I still can't see a Fifa retail game being slower than the demo. Normally they release it with a nice-ish tempo and then ramp it up into horrible arcadey shite for all online modes.

team filters etc??

But slow isn't the default speed for clubs or any other online mode and although you can filter for it, for 1v1 games, you will never find anyone.

Then again, games aren't just about online for most people.

If they've messed about with the shooting then I'm not going to buy it.

Two days ago I was so excited about PES this year, but hearing an awful lot of retail feedback, I must say my heart is sinking a little.

More feedback guys from people who have the full game would be appreciated!

it feels like pes 2012 more or less. not rewarding, but once you get to understand the code behind it then you know what to do. or to paraphrase it, "you know when you are not supposed to shoot".

I wouldn't say there is a game killer issue, more the usual rails and limited options especially vs AI. But on line there should be plenty of fun.

Im out if I read more comments like that and that shooting has been changed again. Shooting was abysmal in 12 and it seems its heading back that way.

I hated PES12 more than any other PES. Even more than PES2008 which was the start of the decline

in pes 2012 you couldn't even decide the direction
it was awfully random. You shoot right, the ball went left becuase keepers had to save it.
If that's the case with pes 2013 then we are in trouble

For me, if the shooting has been butchered, I'm afraid it will be a game killer. Surely it can't be like pes 2012. That was possibly the worst shooting I've experienced in any football game. thanks for feedback though - please keep it coming. Play some more.
