Do you also play around with defensive/offensive tactic? You know the little colory things in the bottom corner (activate via up/down + r2.. depends on your button config)
It basically pushes your team forward or backwards but this is all linked to your tactics. So if you play a high defensive line with lets say 14, but you put it on green (defence) ingame, the players will drop backwards... adds even more depth and nuance!

Your not alone my friend, that's one of the biggest reasons that i play the game.

Master League for solo play and Custom League for playing with my mates. :P

The whole pc demo 2 thing is really shabby. To freeze out a section of the user base from trying a better representation of the finished product, and still keep them in the dark a few days before release is hugely unprofessional. At least give a reason.

The lack of a reason is absolutely bizarre, and indicates there's something about it that they don't want people to know. However, releasing a demo after release isn't unheard of, as annoying as it must be for PC gamers. Batman Arkham City had a demo released on consoles months after the game was released.

it seems odd to us to release a Demo after a game is out, but you must remember that not everyone will buy PES on release day.

Interesting info there about the League mode being within Master League. I wonder if this has to do with the removal of the PES shop? In the past could you start a Master League with a real team or did you have to purchase that option? I think you had to purchase the BAL with a real player option through the shop.

I guess if you can start as a real team, then you can play out a season in fairly similar fashion, hopefully.

Jamez - if you can't do a 4 team league, hopefully you could create a custom cup that was like a league? Has anyone explored the custom cup options...if there are any?

I'm looking forward to some truly sublime footballing moments on the pitch - which is where it counts. Demo has promised plenty so far and even though the FIFA demo has a few really nice touches, I always turn it off to play PES :)

The trigger was a video circulating on youtube with the full version of the game that these modes do not appear. In AKB we have contacted us with Konami to confirm the news and the news that we bring are not all good.

Apparently, so Liga / Copa will only be accessible through the Master League, so these two modes are lost as we have known it. You can not play a League or Cup loose and so we have to resort to play ML for that.

But not all bad news, because the Community so as if this will be included in the patch that Konami will launch in the days after the launch.

That means that the community mode will be released into a patch a few days ago, but community mode is an online mode and league cup is an offline mode and it is not the same.

Yes but comunity mode in PES 2012 is ONLINE and OFFLINE mode...

any idea when the first "repair mistakes" patch will be released?

konami always release full game with a new patch running after to correct transfers and player rating mistakes

any news when this might be?

Probably Seabass giving them a hard time. Probably crawls in during the night deleting some of the code then appearing the next day watching from the sidelines with a smirk.

haha or maybe Seabass programmed the equivalent of the Y2K bug. Every few days a mode is deleted.

or it's like a hostage movie. "I've got your modes. Give me the money."

All gripes aside - I'm looking forward to playing 10-15 minute games and to playing against some mates to see how the game really opens up using the new controls and the improved passing and shooting. Bring on the end of the week!!

On a side note, it seems ridiculous that I can pick up PES for £20 on the PC and close to £40 in some places on the PS3?!? What gives?

I've been really considering getting a gaming PC soon and with prices like this, I think I'm convincing myself that the PC may be the way to go.

That's what I thought until I realised it would cost me few hundred to save $20 lol. Even if you buy 5 games in a year, you'd save $100?

I spent a couple of nights downloading the demo on PC and the zip file was corrupt. So I thought, bugger this, I'll stick to console. Everything just works out of the box :P

If I was definitely in the market for a new PC, I would have got PES on PC instead of Xbox. Editing wise, visually, camera angles etc all sound a lot easier and better on PC.

It may have something to do with piracy levels on the pc. Potentially more money to be made by pricing the game sub £20 and generating more sales compared to £40 and pushing more people towards piracy.

Then again I could be talking bollocks.

Probably a good point. If piracy was easier on consoles, I'm sure they'd push the price down. To be honest, console games are ridiculously overpriced in Australia.

You also dont have to pay for publishing on the pc.
