Anyone hear much about the PES launch supermarket prices this year? I don't hold much hope, but they used to all do a midnight release/limited price cut of £25 or so.
They didn't bother last year, and in fact I turned up at 12 as its just a two minute walk away, and there were no people buying the game whatsoever. In fact I had to ask the shop assistant if they had it because they weren't bothering to put the game on the shelves
By contrast, I happened to also be in the same supermarket when FIFA12 was launched (though I wasn't buying the game myself) and there must have been 200 people in a queue snaking into the car park.

Hey, I asked Asda last week if I could pre-order and they looked at me like they'd never heard of the game.
So that suggests to me that it won't receive the special treatment of days gone by.
(I remember buying PES6 at midnight then playing it 'til 4am then trying not to fall asleep at my desk all day).

I went for FIFA 11 at midnight as it was 25 quid until 6am. ASDA had sold out, Game had sold and finally got one of the few copies left in Tesco around 20 past midnight. I couldn't believe the queues. I don't think FIFA 12 had the offer on and I just bought it in the morning, not heard of any offers for either game this year. What I tend to see now is spend X amount on your shopping and get a game for 25-30 pound

Yeah I saw Sainsburys do an offer for FIFA where you spend money on shopping and get the game for £25. It's a good offer if you have other shopping to do. I might checkthem out and see if they extend the offer to PES, though I doubt it.

Okay thanks, yeah I live near an ASDA so rather than turn up at 12 I'll just pop in on the way to work in the morning then.

Can someone who has the game tell me if there is League mode in PES 2013?
Would like to buy it on Friday, because gameplay, grafic and atmosphere are amazing. Best football game ever. But if there is no League mode I carry on playing PES 2012.
I don´t like the ML. Tried to play, but not my cup of tea. Tried also to switch off all of the things to do in ML, but there are still this boring questions of players and informations. For me waste of time. Want only to enjoy the fantastic game. Playing more seasons with cup, championsleague or europe league.

Game will be great. Only thing i'm not looking forward to is the bad night games with transparent and practically invisible looking nets.
We also need a better camera with adjustable angles on console versions.

@westham - if we knew the exact answer to that then this entire thread would be about 20 pages shorter.
No one can confirm or deny for sure but the general feeling is that you League mode is dropped and that you'd have to play ML without transfers/player development etc.
There's hope that a DLC will fix this but no one really believes that in their heart of hearts.

Miro has the game and could look, if the League mode is integrated in the ML, and if it is the same mode as in PES 2012. That means, that you can play more seasons and play Cup, CL or Europe League games.

when i got my pes copy in 2010 2 days early, the first thing i did was giving 1-2 hours straight information to my mates online (a german board). and after that i played my first match...
so where are these polite people giving us information first and then having fun themselves!?
are these times over?? ...yeah... take that seat grandma!
can someone clear things up regarding leagues in ml or the other stuff people here want to know!? cmon! plz! take some minutes for the community aka the greater good!

For me I had to tell them the angles to run, I'd prefer it they took the initiative.
It still bugs me that Konami removed the wing back position from the game.

There is a data pack available as soon as you run the game.
But you can't update it yet or play anything online, I keep getting "Service is unavailable".
Also can't find League competition anywhere.. only the Cup mode ( Euro, Asian, American, International, Konami cup etc.)
Community also is removed..

They didn't interpret the question wrongly, I asked them out straight if there will be a dlc released with League mode on it.

Had another bash at demo 2 last night. Found it pretty hard on Professional, I just can't seem to score more than 1 goal! (in 5 minutes)
Last year I played the demos so much that when the full game came out I played the exact match I would play on the demo on the full game and knew INSTANTLY that Konami had messed it up!
This year, I've only had little gos so hopefully if theyve cocked it up a bit I will notice.
However, the lack of participation on this board from those who have it already suggests that it must be pretty good.
Anyone mastered the knuckle shot?

I know, some people are reading into it differently, the treatment of the community has been shocking this year and yet they can't wait til friday to buy it. I wonder what's next? Konami know they can do anything they feel like with the game at this stage.

Just spoken to a friend who has the game (Konami send it to him every year), and he has confirmed that you can sign players from Brazil when you are in a European ML campaign, but only from the Brazilian teams, not from the Copa teams.

well normally wingbacks/sidebacks just need to provide the width and stay outside, either 3-5-2 or the other juve formation that they are playing
try to play with the support range and attack style sliders, also its better to have a SB for this who has the incisive run card like lahm(i think)
and its better if the sb can play as a winger too
so he knows how to make runs in the last third better, like adriano or alves from barca, so i cant see a fail from konamis side here, its all fine
