PES 2013 Discussion Thread

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

The only way they are going to get one over on EA and gain some following is to release on the 21st. 5th Oct is more or less going to kill it imo. Too many people are disgusted about the way Konami has treated them and only releasing it early will keep the majority onside.

I for one will be testing the fifa 13 demo next week and if it is close to being as good as Pes demo1(note I say 1 as I've not played 2 being a pc owner) I maybe tempted to plump for Fifa on the 28th dare I say it.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

If it's the 5th October I'm definitely cancelling my pre-order.

Flying out to California for two weeks that day. Might as well wait and see what the response to the game is when I get back and go from there.

Good call. I'm not pre-ordering until I know firstly that they intend to fix the Master League, secondly that the gameplay hasn't been botched since the demo and thirdly that online play actually works, otherwise I'll just stick with Jenkey's unlocked demo. Just saw a FIFA 13 video and it looked like the same shit as always so looks like yet another year without a football game for me.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Guys look at 2008 in the context it was released in. WENB over-hyped the game that it was bound to fail. Terrible game music. New models and terrible animation.

The game was only great on the PC if you played it on any other console then you would have been getting a sub par "Engine:

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

The biggest Bulgarian game selling site says the game will release on 28-09-2012 .

That what Konami will announced tomorrow

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

does bulgaria usually have the same release as other countries??

konami should be doing all they can to get this out for the 21st... but imagine if it was the 21st release... just over 2 weeks until release and no set date lmao

Yeah , same date as UK , like always . We use UK, English version of the game . And the price is 62.95 lv/BGN pre-order , that mean 31.47 €

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

So I played the demo as Man Utd for the first time today, and before now I'd previously praised the game's audio improvements with Spanish crowds etc. This was until I had the joy of hearing the Man Utd crowd for the first time. It's the worst audio for a football crowd I've ever heard. Seriously.

When have Man Utd fans sung a Christmas carol by going 'La la la' etc? Uand why are they even singing a carol in the first place? Utterly utterly embarrassing attempt at recreating an English crowd. More to the point, it's just lazy.

Secondly, aside from the nonsensical crowd chants, the other half of them yet again have swearing in them, which I personally don't care about but I do find it odd given the game is rated for all ages. Yep, swearing is in all football crowds but FIFA manages to avoid it and still sound 1000% more authentic than the tripe Konami spew out.

I'm just thankful you can edit the crowd sounds in the full game for more generic, non-descript crowd sounds. The Man Utd crowds play on a loop, stand out from the rest of the audio and sound cringeworthy.

There's been all this talk about the game having a new engine, and the old engine being responsible for many of the series' issues, but the audio has no excuse. I appreciate a London studio is opening, but really, does it take the opening of a new studio to just listen to some real matches and replicate the way those crowds sound? It's all really, really bizarre.

For some teams the audio is piss poor, some of the generic crowd noise in edit mode sounds quite good though.

Remember enjoying a ML game on pes 2012 with United and we started singing when the reds come marching in:CONFUSE:fucking liverpool song. Also MUFC OK which thank fuck hasn't been sung at OT for many a year.

I do believe our away support sung MUFC OK against Southampton. :SMUG:

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Prefer the gameplay these days to the ps2 games but seem to remember the audio being much better, especially for pes 3,4 and 5. Although quite generic the atmosphere was fantastic at times. Would rather konami have a generic sounding english atmosphere than making awful attempts at specific english songs.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

If there is one thing Konami have got right, it's what's happening on the field. Not to say there isn't niggles with demo 2, but the fluidity of game at times is breathtaking.

On another note. Did Konami say that the game would be more 'off rails' this time?
I'm finding that while the players aren't necessarily stuck on rails the majority of the time, in certain situations they are. Homing in/running onto passes, through balls, defensive positioning etc.
My point is, that super cancel is as effective as ever, if not, more so than in previous games.
This is by no means a complaint. It's absolutely vital, along with close dribble, which can also disengage players from their 'sat nav'.
As for the silence from the corporates. Maybe the final game is literally going to stretch this engine to breaking point, so Konami/pes will go out with a bang before the shiny new engine in 2014.
Hope they do.

You missed out on a very decent game then mate. I disliked it at the beginning but after the 2nd patch the shooting and defensive AI was fixed and it changed completely.

Not perfect - but not near as bad as you made it out to be also rather wrong when you played so little of it.

i playd it way too much :P
loaded it again after all the important patches a second time + yair
still was not good
@gomito
nope, thats the bloody truth u surprise to hear(donovan goldwatch blues .p)

il pick up fifa this year too,no messing around with having to edit the game for 3 months before its playable and it will be fun to play with my mates as all of them have turned their backs on pes in the last 3 years,il still play pes6 ML on pc for my own football fix

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

The thing about buying an boost or whatever it is called to heal your player quicker is no different to sending your player to a specialist in football manager or in real life when a few players were getting injections of horse placenta and came back from injury in double quick time. So this is one thing that's not that fantasy but just poorly implemented like konami have a history of doing like scouts instead of chairmen, director of football or chief executive
doing transfers for you.

The boot thing is stupid and unrealistic but is it anymore unrealistic than

Buying new cards for your player or last year when you couldn't buy the cards anymore but some how Rooney always acquired flicking skills but no other players acquired any so if you had a youth player without a card, lets say a striker he would sadly never develop into the feared "fox in the box"

Starting off in a second division of a major league with a Sunday league team
Having that said team play in a league with fake teams with names like "C.D. RALTONVEGUA" with players like "RUSSENDALL" a 31 year old USA fullback who must have fallen on hard times as he is rated 84 overall and is playing in the second division

No scouting
What? Yea last year even though you had a scout all the lazy bastard would do is give you a list of players that would gladly join your club. He would not even remove the players from your rival clubs from the list. But in all fairness he was negotiating transfers for you. You had to do the scouting yourself with the player search function, just like the one fergy uses

Transfers
Bought
Ganzo 11 million
Neymar 16 million
Ronaldo 38 million

Sold
Evans 22 million
Carrick 28 million
But at least it was pounds not wen points.

Training
Last years training was brutal. Nothing but speed for a few days then nothing but physical in the end I just left it to condition and the players developed normally no need for the other crap.

Players
Coming into my office on a sunny day (it was nearly always sunny in my Manchester office) demanding the number 10 shirt. I was going to remind Valencia that he was a Manchester United winger who already had the famous No. 7 shirt and the top player at my club already had that number and tell the Primadonna(Valencia who It seemed would be one of the last players to be difficult like this) to get the hell out of my office only to find out I had to be polite.
Left Rafael out for one match " hey boss who the hell you think you are dropping me for one match just because I had a blue arrow for no reason and would have played shite anyway"
I had to apologize to him and tell him he would definitely play the next game instead of just being able to say listen get back to me when you are in a green arrow frame of mind and I will think about playing you fool.

The above is not to be taken seriously. The out of the box PES & masterlesaue are not picture perfect Representative of real football but is a good base and with all the great modders for the consoles that create option files with faces, stadiums, chants, kits etc and the PC modders who do all the above and more and then us the players that have to use our imaginaeaeaeaeshon to overlook the the sometimes infuriating flaws of the game I will probably still be playing the new masterleague this time next year like I am playing the 2012 now (using the demo as result. If I am playig pool in masterleague I have a game against them in the demo. what ever the result in the demo, win lose or draw I sim masterleague matchday until its the same result but not exact score eg if I win in demo I win in masterleague. not perfect but passes the time)

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Your all gone Mad, mad i tell you! Mad, mad mad mad! Adam is Mad, Lami is Mad. And that Matty_ something or other is really fucking MAD. This has nothing to do with PES13 because i've gone Mad.

Haha! I'm just having a bit of fun, that's all :CW:

Lami - did you get your Sydney FC membership yet bud?

Del Pieroooooooooo

Oh I forgot to reply to you regarding that! Lol sorry got caught up in the mix.

I'm happy he's here as he was one of my football heroes as a kid :D

I'm not sure how much membership would cost though.

Now I want the A-league in PES 2013 but not sure how to do that!

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

haha that's cool. You guys were caught up in 2008 nostalgia :P

I'm a Juventus fan so ADP is also a hero :)

Membership shouldn't be too much. My Gold membership here is less than $350 for 14 home games. Sydney FC membership gives you free public transport to and from games too.

I made an A-Leauge in PES 2011 and once I know about the league structures etc for PES 2013 I'll probably get Daymos to help me upload some png's and then I can create an A-League file. Since it's only 10 teams, I'd have to bring in some other unassigned teams or create some other teams from a different league. Maybe the MLS or Asian league?

But you'd need PES on the Xbox ;) It was great fun on PES 2011 playing with Adelaide United. Just a shame we can't create a custom league with only 10 teams. Maybe next year we can?

Oh yea I forgot about the 10 teams. Maybe we can add teams from the NSW Premier League? :P

Is there an equivalent league in QLD? There must be. I think they're trying to push NSW PL teams into a professional 2nd division of A-League or something, but the teams are hesitant and they're happy with what they currently have. It's not an easy task financially as well.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

haha premier league...not in my option file buddy :P

There's a big push at the moment for a clearer pathway between the feeder leagues and the A-League. Hopefully they push in the right direction.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Btw, Winning Eleven's demo 2 is out on the Japanese PSN if anyone's interested.

It has English language too :)

Hopefully when they tell us the release date they also give us more news on leagues and modes. There's been little on it apart from the teaser video a while back.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

What could honestly prevent them from telling a release date ? They're idiots who happened to make a good game but cannot seemingly take it to the next level
