Must say, more i play, the more i like, manuel shooting so far feels spot on on downside, demo does suffer from like slow down from time to time and sound goes a bit iffy on xbox anyway, overall, looking forward to full release

PS3 is better for me, i haven't noticed any slow down. And it seems that the AI going around the keeper exploit is gone..I haven't witnessed it yet compared to D1

wtf, why has NOBODY commented on how much better the sound is?!

The atmosphere is a million times better than the first demo!!!!!!

The crowd sound great now, not this distant muffled crap, I cant believe I'm the first person to say about it.....

I'm going to record a video of the sound.... Athletic Bilbao have all their real chants and it's audible "ATHLEEEEEEEEEETIC ATHLEEEEEEEEEEETIC" in the background :)

Okay, the game is running badly for me, framerate issues, worse than the 1st demo, and the worst I've ever had on PES on ps3..... its really bad, most noticable when you try to use the menu or formation screen when the players walk off the pitch in the background

btw, they renamed Pitch Side to 'Field Side' - I dont think it was called Field Side in the first demo.

This Player ID could be way better, you take Robben for instance, nobody has a more distinct run than him. Kind of side to side waggle like a Penguin on speed! Come on Konami lets get these things right.

Yea, it was/is "Field side" in the first U.S. demo. Americans generally use the term field as apposed to pitch.

its bloody hard to record footage of the game when holding a mobile phone with 1 hand, tried to use a controller with 1 hand xD

I'm copying my recordings to my PC now, will take some screens of faces soon.

Played a few games on the Xbox last night. Stutters a bit which I hope is something just limited to the demo. I never had stutter in the full version of PES 2012 so I've got hope it's not something we'll be stuck with!

Whoever said the shooting is floaty must be blind. The first two shots I hit nearly ripped my screen in half. What does seem to have happened though is that they're not as super accurate and if you're off balance etc, the shot isn't a rocket top corner now. Maybe that's the kind of shot you could call floaty but it's not really floaty as such and it's actually correct contextually.

Haven't tried any R2 shots in-game so I can't tell you whether they're a bit weaker or not.

Tried 2 bars for a game and it felt really crisp but a bit too assisted so I went to 0 bar and it works really well compared to demo 1, IMO.

Cross field passes at first seemed floaty but then I started hitting some with real whip to it. I'm guessing it might be when a player is available short it can't work out who you're aiming for. Might be better to use manual cross to hit a cross field switch, when you're trying to avoid the players in the line of sight.

Formations seemed to make a big difference. I noticed the lack of width when I played with a certain team, compared to playing with the team before. Also saw a few really nice runs from deep where the player kept running for a fair while...and a couple of intelligent forwards who really curved their runs to stay onside.

Night games still look washed out! I really hope we can lobby Konami to reduce the amount of light hitting the pitch. It shouldn't be hard I would have thought.

If anyone wants to try some adjusted colour settings on their screen, I was using this last night and it looked good on my screen:

Red 3
Green -6
Blue 0
Brightness at default (I think it's 0)

Well I commented on everything I could for those wanted some feedback. I specifically said I didn't try R2 shooting in game so I can't tell people if I found them floaty or not. Not sure how Mrs Bee in Her Bonnet (aka EWOK 23) went off on a tangent there.
Still annoyed that I disagreed about having positional arrows? Are you 5 years old?

Wow that is really ugly looking. It has that fps shit tint (brown look)

I try to get the assassin's creed and fifa look (where white is actually white)

I really hope that this is not toned down so as to be invisible. Its one of the main ways of differentiating the individual players.
Started downloading on xbox this morning before i went to work so i'll have a go myself in a few hours but would be interested to hear from others about this in the mean time.

Liked demo 1 apart from the skewed possession stats and the silly CPU build up. That's all they had to work on besides toning the accuracy of the shooting down a bit.

Now it's like a drugged up PES 2012, but just worse. Thoroughly dislike it, it's more arcade madness than ever before. The core gameplay is just fked IMO.

Sorry, I should have said that I use a "Standard" profile on my monitor which is calibrated (roughly) to 6500k colour temperature. So I've got a fairly neutral looking white point to start with. Maybe you can toggle some presets and try it then. No drama's though.

Clearly I didn't mention anyone's name when I said it. And whoever said it just made a blanket statement, which is just plain wrong. If some types of shots are floaty, then you should say so rather than just crying that "shooting sucks".

Anyway, like I said, I didn't name names so I don't know why you had to come in like a defender of the people with a comment which didn't even take into account what I had said. :TTTH:

Well i said the ball felt floaty never said shooting sucked al though sometimes it does seem too soft even when under no pressure.

Alright, 1st time I've played PES on a PS3 for a year - feels so weird after PC'ing it up.

So Demo 2.

Good:
- As noted, sound is decent now. Generic '5 Cantonas' and the Ronaldo song when playing as Man Utd
- Didn't have the stupid 'micro' pass bug that was in the last version
- AI keep the ball more, rather than immediately sprinting up field with it
- Defending seems better to me, I had less chances anyway then Demo 1

Bad:
- 5 minute matches. F*ck you Konami
- Virtually every goal the AI scored against me was the same chip through ball leading to a 1 on 1. I'm pretty vigilant against it, but sometimes it really does feel unstoppable
- Which may be due to my final point/issue - I sometimes get the feeling my players aren't as 'glued' to where the ball is going to be as the CPU. Tackles that I swear are perfect go slightly off, resulting in a card. Or I run to pick up a loose ball and I don't quite get to it. Something just feels off with that to me

Indifferent:
- Teams aren't fully up to date no RVP at United, for example

Overall:

Meh. Better than 2012, but this looks seriously dated. Watch a video of the sheer polish of Madden 13 versus this game, and you'd honestly think they're from different generations of consoles.

beachryan, I have to disagree with you on the teams not being fully updated, RVP to Man Utd wasnt that long ago, remember last year when Barcelona STILL had Ibrahimovic even though he left them like at least 2 months earlier? not this time around, Kagawa is at Man Utd, new signings of Athletic Bilbao are in too....
