It's a bit disappointing tbh because I'm pretty sure this would be gone, think it was on one of the press releases that I read something which gave me the idea it wouldn't be a problem anymore...

Unfortunately, in this new game "supercancel" is back.
especially when ball is released, and a player runs after it and struggle with the rival, is fully automatic and again "superfuckingcancel":RANT:

i didnt look to in depth, only 2 players, i just looked at...

Ashley young ran 90 and was on low, red stamina

Rooney ran 60 and had medium, green stamina

there were about 5 players on red and the rest on green... ill have to check properly next time

May I suggest something to test it out:

Let one specific player run all the time and give him the ball as often as possible, let him dribble, run, shoot, while you never touch the run-button for the others and only walk with them and let them pass the ball to the one player you want to overabuse for this experiment and then look at the stamina/fatigue of all players at the 80th minute.

If it's realtime, that one player should be totally exhausted while everyone else should be fit.

anyone looking for a FIFA dynamic camera view check out these settings for the camera mod app. In my opinion, as i love the dynamic camera on fifa with minimum zoom and a little bit of height, it improves the game no end and makes it far more immersive..obviously in my opinion..but ive read people are looking for a mid and wide camera in-between

i basically only ran with one player

first half: he had the lowest stamina, but only by a little bit... it should be much more because all i did was run with him...

note - all players on green arrows seem the same,all playes on red seem the same, all players on yellow (my guy) seem the same except my guy who is a little bit lower (again, should be ALOT lower though)

2nd half just begin and he is still the lowest out of everybody by a bit, should be more

90th min..

4 green fitness players - 3 red, 1 on green

4 yellow - 1 red (my guy who is the lowest of everyone on the pitch), 3 green (all different)

reds - all green, medium fitness


to put that in perspective, my guy dribbled 1294, the next highest was 24... so not accurate at all... BUT, he was the lowest out of everyone so SOMETHING is tracking something here.... but its not precise one bit..

this sucks! it shouldnt be difficult at all to just say.... distance travelled/stamina stat = current stamina in game... for each player... i mean imsure you could make a better equation than that but thats all you need to make it at least somewhat realstic

Just scored a crazy goal with Santos, tried a lobbed pass over the top of the defence aiming for Neymar but the Goalkeeper rushes out and boots it clear, the ball comes flying towards Arouca who amazingly volleys it into the corner of the net from just inside the opponents half.

I load up fraps ready to record it at half time during the highlights... and it's not shown, neither is Ronaldinho's goal for Flamengo. What the hell?!

For some reason goals are not being shown in the Highlights.

You got a dummies guide for getting these teams in?
Easiest way is to use the Wehellas Demo Patch (see editing section), or the PESedit patch. The former has 120 teams but the latter has up-to-date squads and kits for less teams.

Thanks for doing this experiment, unfortunately this stamina/fatigue-system turns out to be pretty random, ie. not realistic.

But interesting to see that something is indeed being tracked.

If they could fix the stamina/fatigue-system and make it consistent and realistic, like they do it in the Wii-version, then they also could build in proper running.

i don't think we will get a new stamina system this year since they didn't fix it till now

Anyway i don't want to get my hopes up, but today it seems like the game "clicked" for me. Not a single match with unrealistic moves by CPU, all good, fair and enjoying matches. I hope it is because i'm starting to understand how to play it, i don't want it to be a lucky day. Today Pes 2013 was easily a 9/10 for me :P

They could handle the stamina issue similar to the way they do it in NHL 2K10. As you sprint your bar depletes. Depending upon your recovery rating the bar fills up again. Each player could get a certain number of fillups as it were each game depending upon his condition and stamina ratings.

anything system which is close to real life please. but yes the 2-tier system does seem the most natural. its basically top tier = breath and bottom = stamina. so run the pitch full length you lose most of your top tier... but then that regains with time, and overall you lose a bit of the bottom tier. FIFAs stamina system is pretty good, but the rates of losing stamina/regaining are a bit off.

this is such a core part of the game that they need to take a look it

whoever is putting forward that demo feedback questionaire must include this

Hi dinally got another few matches in with the PC demo using wehellas patch. My mate was using brca and whoring Messi. At 70 mintues he was finito and needed to be subbed the others except Xavi were still okay.

The stamnia system is there but as wlays can be improved please also look at player stamina and player mentality as these have a say in the players stamina and his ability once he is fatigued

I think my biggest problem with the demo is with shooting. From outside the box it's often always powerful, low and for the most part accurate. I've score and conceded some really stupid looking goals as a result. The ball lacks a distinct feel of spin, for instance it can never veer away dramatically high or wide as it would often do if you tried to do it in real life. I'm sure it's nowhere near as likely to strike a ball as cleanly from outside the box (20+ yards) in real life as this game suggests it is. Those shots are basically routine too.

Then again i'm assuming footballs aren't made of lead. They might be. I'm no pro.

Shame about the super cancel thing. I didn't notice it at first but after a few games noticed some lock-on runs and remembered what Adam had said. Not calling him a liar - something must have changed.

I have 2 issues with the demo:

1) Headers (on goal): When the ball is in the air you cant move your player and the headers do not connect with the ball properly. Plus you cant smash them into the net with a header because of some akward ball physics with that

2) Goal keeper animations and behavior :(

First one can be fixed (hope so) till release - with the goal keeper animations I think we have to live

i dont see the big deal with the supercancel... i like using it... if i want to most optimal run to the ball then its already in place.... if they didnt make runs itd take to long to switch player, accelerate, sprint - you would hardly get on the end of passes.

one thing i dont like this game is when you super cancel into a ball you hold R2... then when you get the ball you blast the ball forward because R2 is also the knock on button... can be areally annoying

I believe super cancel is even in FIFA despite it being "free" game (or so I heard :LOL: )

It may be there, but the need for it shouldn't be necessity :).

sounds good on paper but every idea will have its drawbacks. like i said, if the game didnt have some on rails moments then every pass you make you could barely get on the end of, as when you pass you need to... change cursor-accelerate-sprint... whereas now it is pass - change cursor - already moving

just imagine playing a through ball behind the defence then changing to a striker who stood still and you have to move from a standing position.

thats the why the rails is used at the moment

Perhaps code in a tolerance whereby the player will remain on rails when the stick is pointed in the general direction of the ball, but a control input outside this 'cone' will cut straight in to manual control of player movement.

Erm, have you ever played, you know, FIFA?

You never need super cancel, because even if it's not completely free, you always have some degree over what you want to do, if you want to just walk there, sprint, and you can adjust your body to a certain extent. And I'm sorry but a player chasing down a ball even if I just don't want him too doesn't make any sense.

yeah thats my point, im not saying your wrong im just saying with every idea there will be faults... usually gamers will just say 'we need this!' without thinking of the repurcussion that will have in other areas of the game... thats what im saying
