PES 2013 Discussion Thread

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

I think one could share some of their videos of pes 2013 demo showing cpu playing horrible football, Crazy dribling and one-two mode like pes 2012. This is one thing that prevent me from continuously playing pes 2012 let alone Master League. This was my main grip actually.

Testing nearly 20 or so matches on professional and top player of PES 2013 demo, i have not see it that bad as PES 2012. When opponent's attacker pass my defender it is nowhere near seems or feels like 2012. or may be i am just lucky :P

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Impossible in terms of production time-frame, priority, etc. If i am not mistaken from WENB podcast, it also bounds to game engine stuff.. i am thinking about code optimization and game stability especially for online, since people can use much more different variety of camera angles.. Could be a part that Konami won't spend much time on it and even testing it.

thats dumb.. im no programmer but i cant imagine camera angles are to hard to put in a game?! oh well... other people know better than me... i just want blimp type camera but with a radar.. i hate the way other cameras have a 'sway'

also thanks other pister... pretty cool xbox users (me) can use a mod... ill try it out for pes 2013 thanks

If constant rush forward without trying to hold posession and playing back is not terrible football to you, then sorry im wrong.

All the improvements and features is towards offense unfortunately, playing defence is pain even with that primitive cpu attacking. Playing with top class or avarage defenders almoust make no difference. Also fatigue isn't noticeable enough, you can sprint all game long. I don't want to imagine online with this.

I liked the demo, played both we and pes demo, love both.
I didnt like some things but ovr i really liked the demo, like more this demo than the firt demo of pes2012.

Btw anyone knows when some details of ML will be released?

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Is all the pass assistance and manual pass/shot going be the downfall of online gain this year. That's what I'm more worried about.

If konami do not drastically alter the format we will be stuck with the same problems as last year. Separate lobbies and the ability to see what assistance levels your opponent is playing with is a must.

Also chances to play a match again with the same opponent is a must. When you've just been beaten surely the last thing you want is to be thrown back into searching for another opponent for a quick match. You want a bloody rematch for god sake.

Options to upload goals to sharing platforms will like facebook, twitter and youtube would be nice.

plus an email like on fifa with all match stats etc(thing Fifa does really well)

they rather reinvent the wheel before doing all this :SS

edit
or change the defence system/controls every year, for the lolz of it

i really dont agree with this. from what ive seen your players are dead by the end if theyve been over used. just now i got the ball with glen johnson, 88th minute, i was mashing RB but he would barely run

good words here, lot better than demo 1 012, if demo 2(if released) is better like last year again AND FULL is not packed with AI interference/cheat momentum/.. unlike ehm every year .p its going to be good

so chances are like 33% or 0%, depends

Really disagree with everything you've mentioned here. Defending is much better, and your better defenders certainly are more aware of loose balls and intercept. And fatigue does make a difference when players change from green to red. I've noticed they're a tad less responsive for example.

Agree. Yes you can sprint all game long, but far slower than you were at the start of the match. Subs have been noticeably faster in my matches, and more eager with their off-the-ball running. The last thing I'd want to see is a game where fully 'fatigued' players could literally only walk/jog. It just doesn't match up to reality.

Also agree with Lami - I'm definitely noticing that better defenders are more likely to get their tackles right. I'm really enjoying the defending as a whole, the defensive unit is far more organised than last year's bedlam and players like Ronaldo aren't the overpowered monsters they were last year.

For me they are less hectic than 2012, that's what i am trying to say. It is not that terrible like 2012.

For retail version, i also hope that they have more variety in more considered build up and passing around in some cases. :))

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

My only niggle right now is player switching, simple passes not "registering" the player it's supposed to go to, lost balls still hard to deal with, and the fact that you still have no control over a player chasing down a ball.

The rail yes... completely no need to press sprint and even direction (left analogue) for example while receiving through ball.

My dream for it to be auto early run will be auto and 30 ms later to have semi/full control over them has not yet realised

I guess, CPU ai does not know how to supercancel :JAY:

It's a bit disappointing tbh because I'm pretty sure this would be gone, think it was on one of the press releases that I read something which gave me the idea it wouldn't be a problem anymore...

EDIT: Not a press release, but end of May WENB Playtest.

My guess is that this changed between codes:
Now is about the right time to mention one key fact that most PES fans will relate to instantly: I never had to press super cancel once. If anything, I found the full control given a tad daunting at first. Players don’t lock into position, and you have to remain sharp when trying to receive passes and attempting to latch onto long balls. For example, when playing a throughball, your player won’t automatically run for it. Once you play it the player will move towards it, but if you don’t hold run he’ll jog towards it. Another example is dealing with a high ball. When it’s a goal kick from the opposition, you’ll find yourself having to move your midfielder into the area where the ball is landing and compete with the opposing midfielder. The full control you have takes time to get used to, but is more than welcome.

Defending is enjoyable but ı've noticed a bug or issue. If u just hold the teammate pressure, you can easily get the ball from other team. Not too easy but it should be harder especially in online if you know what ı mean:)

But it's not real-time and individual for every player. What happens is the same as in PES 2012: All players lose stamina and get tired at the same rate after a certain amounts of minutes, independent who ran more or less or dribbled more or less.

So in the end you don't have to play it safe cause regardless of how much you ran in the match you lose fatigue/stamina the same amount at the end of the match as if you played it wise and slow.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Nope, how?
Well... its not real new :D When u have free kick , you press R1+L1 then second player come, after that press R3 and third player is active ,you can move him around and.. just your imagination is limits for the combinations . But one time i made is without R3.. its just happen when i was pressing R1 L1 or L2, i don't remember now .

Too bad, I hope this gets put back into the code, having to decide for ourselves if and when to run and which angle to use is essential to feel in control of things.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

one thing i really noticed with is that players have more space to move especially christiano just comes from all angles had some amazing shots really really nice physics spot on that classic feeling of pes really has returned

i just played a match and different players ended up on different staminas

however at half time they were all exactly the same

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

I was frustrated on the 360, partly because I feel the silly 5 minute matches rush your play too much, downloaded it on the PC and got the time extender, totally different beast.

Played for around 6 hours yesterday and it was an amazing experience, not properly had the thrill of making a good pass or scoring a goal since pes6, it has niggles, not a massive fan of manual controls but feel when I do use them even on full power there isn't enough power or distance (not sure if this is stat dependant, will try with Gerrard and Pirlo properly later).

I did praise the previous two games initially when they came out but for me they did not represent old Pro Evo, just a playable game of football with some good ideas, this one however doesn't feel like a false dawn for me, I mentioned PES6, that's the same sort of vibe I get from this game.

Feel the animations are good enough now and don't prove to be distracting or detract from a good move or goal, they could be better especially in collisions but for me now, they are entirely acceptable and appropriate, even the keepers in both movement and functionality are not detracting from the enjoyment of a goal now.

Suggest everyone get on the pc version, the game ebbs and flows brilliantly on a 15 minute game.

Interesting, what do you mean at half time they are the same? Do you mean after they had rest during halftime?

actually, i dont know, that is possible

i just looked at the stamina and saw everyone had lost the exact same amount at half time, so you were right.. but then around 70mins different people had different stamina levels so you wernt right

Thanks alot for this info, one last question regarding that topic: Those that had lower stamina than the others at the 70th minute, are they those that were more active than the others during the match?

Or is it random?

If it's the first then it means there is indeed a real-time stamina/fatigue-system during the second half of the match.

i didnt look to in depth, only 2 players, i just looked at...

Ashley young ran 90 and was on low, red stamina

Rooney ran 60 and had medium, green stamina

there were about 5 players on red and the rest on green... ill have to check properly next time
