And one more thing, when you get the gripe of manual shooting, it's just sensational! Definitely worth learning. :)

Best combo to play this game. Simply delicious and addicting. Going for PC version for solo play and PS3 to play with my mates.

Do you guys like 2 bar passing while using the LT as the manual passing modifier or without the LT? I guess I am used to using it now, but would like not to.

Yup. Scored two screamers with Rooney last night. One of them looked eerily realistic. The keeper was at full stretch and managed to get his fingertips on the ball but it was moving too fast and deflected into the bottom right corner.

I'm also having a lot of fun with passing assistance on 0. Yes it's hard, but it allows you so much more freedom with placing your passes.

Dribbling is kind of useless for now though.

It's very simple mate, just check the first post in this thread and follow the steps. It's just a matter of replacing a file with the one you download.

I occasionally use the LT, the arrows really help when I want to pinpoint a specific pass I don't think I can with assisted passing. But for the most of it, I don't need to use LT at all.

Plus @Kevano22 You can use the Level Of Detail mixer to make the game look even better on the PC :).

Generally cutscenes and replay's etc run a LOT smoother compared to the PS3 and 360.

i will put here the things that must be improved or fixed

- player switching while attacking is even worse than defending. While we can control some part of player switching in defense, the attack is completely in CPU hands, and many times CPU changes the cursor to the wrong player

- Defensive AI should be greatly improved, right now it's just a little better than it was in pes 2012. My main complaints are about defenders taking wrong defensive positions, especially in set piece situations like corner kicks. Defenders should be ahead of attacker, not behind!!

- Improve Referee: he gives too much yellow cards for sliding tackle, and there is no difference between a soft sliding tackle fould and hard sliding tackle. He doesn't give yellow cards while he gives advantage, never.

If i find anything annoying i will report it here, while waiting for a dedicated topic. Lami, could you open it?

definetely

a lot of times i pass to a player but if chooses the wrong one who then starts to run towards to ball.... even if its closer to the guy i passed to (i play manual)

also i dont care about graphics but the linesman NEVER calls the offside, its always the ref blows the offside then the linesman raises his flag lol

I'm sure a good number of us has played this game a lot now, but still not enough imo. We need to get all the good and bad filtered justly and not send a rushed feedback. In reality, feedback actually needs weeks, but in our case we can't wait that long. So just a little bit more. You get more games in, and hopefully with a clear mind every time.

Anyone else having trouble latching onto loose balls at times? Sometimes my player goes in a completely different direction, or lacks any sort of determination to go after the ball.

Really good demo and feels improved from PES 2012 by quite a bit.

BUT when will Konami realise this is football and not basketball? Matches aren't always end-to-end and the AI is still non-existent in its building up from the back. Not a gamebreaker but it's close to it. Getting a bit fed up of constantly having 60% possession because the AI only ever wants to get the ball to its forwards.

This is the biggest issue so far, they need to fix it for the full game or else it could really hinder the potential that this year's game has.

Thats the crux. I don't believe it's dependant on playing style either, as I prefer a fast/direct brand of football yet consistently dominate possession.

Thing is, we've all moaned about this during PES 12, so...are they not aware of it or just choosing to ignore?

Really hope online is playable this year.

That's the biggest issue on footy games actually. Not only on PES, so on FIFA. The CPU doesn't play like human at all, it doesn't keep the ball, looking for space, doing some time to win, do the right passes, etc. Sometimes i defend and there's a player lonely and i'm say "sh** he's alone!". And the cpu do the pass to another player already covered by me.
It always goes right to the goal with haste.

I think they just ignore it. They've seen how successful Fifa is with that brand of football and have looked to replicate it. They've replicated it pretty well to be honest but it started with PES 2012. Ease of attack over defence yadayada.

Again and again I criticized this while playing PES 2012, but apparently Konami doesn't care to fix it.

Fortunately I'm playing now on my mac-mini and yair's patch fixed this playerswitching-problem nearly completely (I would say 95% fixed), it's awesome! And it's embarrassing for Konami that a fan-modder can fix something in a few days that they can't.

Nightgames, another pet-peeve of mine: Totally fixed thanks to Hany's nightgame-turf-patch!
