you just give an example of imperfect collision system exactly the on that you want. So where's the issue ?

No use of expecting much better than demo collision system.. release version won't be that far. Eh, at least that's what we are expecting for pes 2013 since several months a go.

I'm testing long cam right now. It's really good. Konami should add one more camera, and I think something between the long and wide camera would be nice.

Playing in Long cam on -1 speed is good.

Long cam is great. Would be nice if they created one between Long and Medium Close. Long is just a bit too high on the near side and Medium is too zoomed in. A compromise would be good :)

But I do like the Pitchside cam this year. If only the goalface was a bit more open instead of being square on.

Yea I've always played on long cam forever. Wide is too far for me.

I think after at least 50 games played they moved back to pes6 - and all these years pes07..pes12 were wasted. All years players were telling them that it was almost perfect gameplay. Now I see many things taken from pes6 if we talk about gameplay. It is realy good but it is not a gameplay that you are out of your seat.

I'm afraid this year I'm going to settle for the PC version. After trying all these different patches on the demo I really can't see myself missing on a lot of them.

So much stuff to re-learn. I'm sure I'll love the game once I get better and actually know what I'm doing.

In defence should I mainly use X, R2 or X + R2?
Haven't got the flick or dynamic first touch worked out yet.
Haven't sussed dynamic one-twos either, having more success with regular one-twos.
Rubbish at the R2 dribbling, usually lose the ball.
Can't seem to pull off normal feints and tricks (when not assigned to trick stick) with any regularity.
Keep forgetting I have a manual modifier for shooting. Haven't even attempted a manual low shot or nutmeg shot yet.

Not a rant, I like having to learn the game again.Just wondering if anyone has mastered even half of these things yet and can give some tips and wondering how people have already made negative conclusions when surely they haven't mastered all the intricacies of the game yet.

Hmm, jury is still well and truly out for me.

Positives - lovely control, ball bouncing off players, shooting, passing, challenging, player ID.

Negatives - still heavy scripting, still too much possession for me (avg 60-65% not good), still CPU too reliant on counter, still the CPU players don't seem to know their surroundings on the pitch and want to go forward all the time.

It's a decent game, but by now I was expecting more from the CPU in terms of build up and pitch awareness.

I'd be surprised if this game converted people to PES if they didn't enjoy PES 2012, once you're past the initial "this feels different and new" phase, it's really just a polished PES 2012.

As for me, I'd been playing 2012 right up till the point the demo was released, so I'm content :)

I have much the same positives and negatives as everyone else, so I won't re-list them. But overall I'm enjoying the increased freedom (in particular the shooting!).

^ Exactly. I for one enjoyed PES 2012, as frustrating as it was. Is 2013 enough to justify the expense is the question for me? At the moment, although I'm enjoying the demo in parts, the answer will be no. There's nothing really that much different to what a modded PC version with Jenkey's could offer me really.

I personally hated PES 2012 and didn't play for that many months as opposed to previous PES but I'm loving the demo tbh.It's not because it's a new feeling or anything, I have played enough matches for this "new" feeling to go away.
Let's just hope they don't screw things up for the retail version

I loved so much PES 2013 demo but there is something I dislike as

1)First touch THROUGH PASS (Y or Triangle )is too assisted and even though I fill all the POWER bar , sometimes the ball goes very close (same bug by PES 2011 and PES 2012)

2)Night turf is too bright!!! after turf patch it is perfect, but original one sucks

3) Penalty System SUCKS...it is impossible to shoot outside the goal (too much NOOB ASSISTED)..I prefered PES2011 system

For the rest I think the game is great!!!!

You can't, but I absolutely hate having to, and frankly I can't see any good reason - realism, gameplay, or practicality - for why I should have to. It may be the way it's been for a long time, but it's not a good way. Can't imagine that people transitioning from FIFA find it that amusing either.

Sigh. Possession stats and CPU giving the ball away is now ruining it for me. Playing on Superstar PC and PS3. Germany FFS just keep giving it away time after time after time. Last game I had 72% possession against them, no shit. I've also only lost 3 times out of about 20 games. What's happening? I fear that by dumbing down God mode they've made the game a piece of piss.

Lots and lots of little things I love, but if KONAMI can't get the possession balance right, then I'm sorry but I just can't buy it this year.

Maybe it's because I'm used to it, but never had a problem with it myself. I consider it very useful like a player with "vision" :)

They should fix camera angles though. Hopefully the next game has a few cams and one that is fully customizable.

Ok have to playing it further, im still undecided. At times, much like pes12, it does things and i think wow thats amazing, but its quickly countered with something horrible.

I like that theyve smoothed the gameplay a bit, the players are less jerky. The pace is slightly improved but still needs a lot more tweaking.

I think shooting is pretty good, although Ronaldo is far too overpowered in this, he scores the same type of toe poke blaster goal whenever he is around the box.

The ball physics are a bit better, its less bobbly but it still needs tweaking to give the illusion of a totally free object.

Goalkeepers, ive started seeing more saves which is good, but some old animations exist and tthey really need to be removed because thye dont suit keepers at all and look strange mixed in with the new animations, but at least they are a bit better. I think keepers for next gen need to be done from scratch.

What i dont like still is that on broadcast cam we still have the utterly useless camera switch in the corner, why oh why its there i dont know.

Night matches are hideous and some of the shading and graphics are poor. There seems to be some stupid jump and kick animation that looks totally unconvincing, ive seen keepers do it quite a bit.

Turfs need a bit more zing and the stadiums look a little bland and they really, really do need to make better goal graphics, nets and bars and maybe even add in deep and shallow styles like fifa.

My camera of choice is Long, but as many here have been saying, it would be perfect if we could zoom out just a bit.

Much like Jamezinho, I don't feel the same playing it on Wide camera. I feel a little detached from the game, I miss the little details and I really like to beat defenders, which seems easier in a closer view. It has pros and cons, the cons being that you don't have the same view of the pitch. But hell, I play with an eye on the radar too. It's been like this since WE4, so it's hard to kick this habit :)

I feel this game resembles a lot 2012, but the dribbling is far superior and as for the defending, it's a completely different game. This time around, I feel like they are giving us the proper tools to deal with the tricksters who used to perform the X-Ray dribbling inside our defenders in 2012. Also the mo-cap and animations feel much superior already.

I loved many things on PES 2011 though, and the penalty kick was one of them. So far in this Demo I haven't been awarded any penalty, but it saddens me to see how they are using that crap 2012 system, where you couldn't shoot it wide even if you tried! It's too locked, automated and artificial. Give us back the penalties from 2011 please!

Had a very good 15 minute game 1-1 me Italy CPU Portugal. I'm at least getting that old PES feeling of when danger men are on the ball and I'm bricking it now. I love the way that the lesser ability players lose possession and mis-control. Shooting is too powerful if anything now, they're like tracer bullets, so I'm put game speed to -1.

The game still feels unbalanced though as if I have a different set rules to play to to the computers. The CPU still are very direct and seem to find attacking space very easy to come back, me on the other hand am forced to play possession football, which I don't mind, but this then skewers the possession stats. At least KONAMI could give the illusion of CPU play sometimes by just writing in some basic code that sees the CPU pass the ball around the back a bit.

Nevertheless, enjoyed that last game. Game looks a picture in day. Night is another matter. Also enjoying it more on PC than PS3.

I don't like some clipping/player collision issues that occur from time to time even between your teammates, though I'm positive that they will sort that out on release.

The one thing I'm really enjoying is that most of the play is in the midfield area now. The less perfect first touch compared to 2012 and better defending contributes to it a lot.

I'm in the same boat right now, really thinking hard to get the PC-version for the first time. What Yair's demo-patch did to playerswitching alone is a major plus for the PC-version.

I don't get why Yair can fix playerswitching so quickly and Konami who have developed the game can't!

you can clearly see they didn't even try to fix it, we should put it as a real problem to be solved asap

As a FIFA convert since 08, this is the first PES demo I've played and really, really enjoyed. It certainly feels like PES of old and I'm really looking forward to playing it more.
