PES 2012 Football Life thread

Started the season really well, After 9 games, im 1st with 7 wins 1 draw and 1 loss. The highlight being a 2-1 win over city, who are the majority of the times unplayable on superstar but i completely dominated possession and efforts on goal. Feel ive now got the defending locked not so the shooting at times.

So after 4 seasons, Boro finally gained promotion to the English Premier League. With the 'Mowbray' passing philosophy instilled from the get-go, the fruits of labour finally paid dividends after what I can only describe as a fantastic effort from the lads.

The run-up to promotion went a little something like this ...

With 5 games to play, the top of the Championship table was very tight, Blackburn were leading on goal-difference to Boro, with Norwich and Southampton a couple of points behind.

Boro hosted Notts Forest next-up, as they looked for revenge against the first team to beat them this season. Boro scored first after a lovely passing move opened up the Forest defence. A slick dink over the top from Martins found Giroud, his cushioned volleyed pass picked out Emnes who placed one into the far corner. 1-0 Boro. Forest then equalised with a cute chip over Steele. 1-1. Giroud then added to his amazing tally after he linked up beautifully with Emnes, and his finish into the bottom-corner (R2) more than matched the pass. Giroud then gave Boro some breathing space after his trusted left-peg found the bottom-corner (R2) for the umpteenth time this season. Forest got another goal late on, but the 3 valuable points were secure.

Boro then had a tough match away to Wigan, Giroud opened the scoring in a very tense game with a bent shot into the far corner. Wigan then moved through the gears and scored twice in the last 15 minutes to take all 3 points.

Next up was Championship rivals Blackburn at Ewood Park, with both Steele and Giroud out with 1 week injuries (first time in 4 seasons I've seen a 1-week injury) Boro struggled and went down fighting 2-0.

With back-to-back losses at an important stage of the season, Boro needed to finish the season strong to guarantee a promotion spot. Giroud and Steele both returned to the starting eleven, and Giroud was handed the Captain's armband. The Boro manager felt that if there was one man that could secure that elusive promotion place, then it was Giroud who would lead by example.

It was a master-stroke.

Boro travelled to Hull for the penultimate game of the season knowing that nothing less than 3 points would be satisfactory. Hull tried to spoil the party early, as they went ahead with less than a minute played. Within a minute, newly crowned Club Captain- Giroud, grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and responded immediately, with a bullet header from a Vincente corner. 1-1. Giroud then gave Boro lead, after Dicker slipped in the prolific Frenchman, and his cool finish into the bottom-corner sent the Boro fans wild. 'Captain Marvel' then concluded his hat-trick with another fine header from a perfectly delivered corner. Hull scored in the last minute, but once again, Boro held out for all 3 massively important points.

Boro now had promotion secure, but needed at least a draw to take the title from Blackburn, at Leicester. The home side took the lead after a mix-up at the back. Rabiu then drew Boro level with a stunning low first-time drive into the bottom corner from range. The ball sat up perfectly to be hit, the Rabiu got his stride pattern perfect. Boom. 1-1. Wellens then went close against his former club, with a cracking free-kick from range. Giroud then put Boro ahead with his 3rd headed goal in two games.

This was all about his clever run though (R3), he faked to run towards the goal, his marker tracked his run but was wrong-footed and ended up in the back of the net. This left Giroud in acres of space, and his finish was a classic 'glancer' into the bottom-corner. 2-1 Boro. Leicester then fought back and equalised via Nugent. 2-2.

Cometh the hour, cometh the man ......

A lovely pass from Martins once again picked out Giroud, he took a touch, got it out of his feet, then buried one into the bottom-corner. 3-2 Boro, and that was all she wrote.

(During the pre-season 8 clubs were watching Giroud, with the highest bids coming from Arsenal (Wenger loves a Frenchie) and Lyon, both topping a whopping £18 million........ But he aint going anywhere ;) )

Congratulations! Love the cutscene :)

Congrats Jimmy, its been a long hard battle but you got there!!
Although a great custcene - not a trophy in sight, saddens me!!!

The PES Magic Continues!!!!
Last nights session saw me thump wigan 7-2 at their place, after going 2-1 down, and then I was up against Chelsea at the bridge, their record going into the game was Played 20, Won 16, drawn 4 and lost 0.
They were obviously top of the league and also top scorers.
I adopted a 5-4-1 formation with two holding DMF’s to try and stifle their flair in midfield, i found myself 2-0 down after 20 mins.
The first was a ‘dodgy’ own goal and the 2nd a defensive mix up.
Second half I pulled off the mother of all comebacks, 2-1, then 2-2, then in the 88th Min a lethal left footed piledrived into the bottom corner from Hellebuyk ( a promoted youth) who possesses the long range shot card.
3-2 to me and Chelsea’s first defeat, probably the most satisfying game ive played in any PES.
Next I faced Liverpool, 2nd placed and scoring for fun, they have Drogba and Carroll up front who are both beasts in this game.
The game was at Anfield, I never gave them a sniff, ran out 1-0 winners and probably my best defensive display for several seasons.

Recorded a barrel of goal vids on my iPhone so will get them edited up into a little goal comp movie sometime tonight and share.

also a bit of a plug: PES Ultra

Great stuff. I've had some issues with my video editing the last couple of days so I will try and get my compilation done soon hopefully.

p.s. you can download a program called Prism to convert/transcode your .mov files from the iPhone into something easier for a video editor to handle. I have used an .avi format with the Matrox HD codec at 29.97fps

I usually record my goals via a HAuppauge HD PVR in MT2s format and drop them straight into Sony vegas and edit, but have been lazy lately ans havent hooked it up so when i score a nice goal i just grab the iphone, record it then copy them across to the ipad and edit them all up using iMovie on the iPad.

Is there any way to edit match time (day night) and weather in Master League? I am playing in Spain and league games are 100% days with no rain:(

Exactly the same thing happened to me, 2-0 down in 20 minutes using the exact same formation. This was my opening EPL game, Chelsea battered us 5-1. A true baptism of fire and a 'Welcome to the Premiership'. Since then Boro have done pretty well, but more of that later.

Good stuff mate, keep us posted ion progress. The premiership teams are less forgiving, wait until you play against Andy carroll - the guy is a beast, scores against me every time!!

Just got demolished by Real Madrid 6-0 in my first La Liga experience. Nice!

Second season with Hull started with a mixed result pattern, but evidently bad for me..the first nine games saw 4 losses 2 draws and 3 wins, before 2 consecutive wins loked like pushing us forward.. the new players are struggiling to make an impact though, Rodallega being outshone by the old boy Utaka!

Made my return to Pes now the jan transfer OF's are out and it's had a few patches. I've just jumped into Club Boss mode but I'm a little lost.

Match Results
Playing as Newcastle and so far after a full season my results have been all over the place. I've lost 7-2 at home to QPR one game, then gone on to beat man city at The Etihad 5-0 then had a 4-4 match against Leeds and then been ripped to shreds by Wigan 6-0. It seems really random.
Does it get better the more you play, does it settle down once your manager starts to shape the team to his style?

Jogging and samey goals
I'm hating the way the AI hardly ever runs... they jog everywhere, and I keep seeing the same kinds of goals scored like the Jog 1 on 1 and then they do a fake shot around the keeper or 'cross and diving header'. Just a annoying coincidence or is it this way for everyone?

Marketing
This seems like it should be renamed 'throw your money down the toilet mode' because so far that's all it seems to do. I throw a million in before a match and next to nothing happens, I throw half a million the next match and again minimal increase. Then after a few weeks of not bothering ill see that its had an increase of something like 138.

Do you get any of this money back or is it gone once you throw it away? At this point I'm thinking its a useless option as id be best off using that money to improve my team and gain fans through results.

Best Club Owner Award - Most money?
Is the way to 'win' this mode just to basically be mega rich? I thought you might be rated on how you handle your managers and team and how well you support it... but the rankings only seem to based on money in the bank.

Players being sold/bought
Is this automatic every time? The only time I was prompted about a move was when I had a mission where a sponsor wanted me to sign someone which was quite cool. But outside of that I've seen my manager sell 3 players and sign some terrible SS on loan. Well I say seen... i actually didn't realise that the arrow pointing left meant 'player offer/on the move' I thought it was their form/player growth.

Finally... any tips for a new owner starting out? Is it best to start with a 2nd division team and work your way up with wheeling and dealing or go for a mid table premiership side (like Newcastle seem to be)?

Hi folks liking this master leagemode in manager mode (seems pointless if I play the games ....P

Im liverpool (is my team) anyways first go I bought eto & pato and board wasn't pleased we was skint! lol pato 40 mil eto about 10
So much so job was under seroius threat as wlll my staff and merchandising etc were cut to minimal finally I got out of the red and started to get things on track with the board though I HAD to beat Man u to keep my job!!! lol

"2nd try this time just bought pato again about 40 mil + 5.5 mil wages

End season pato was Mvp top scorer and assits for club :-) however did loose carroll and caragher when I wanted to lower there wages basically they just put contract talks on hold. and then later revealed they were leaving carroll to valencia (they were nearly doubling his wages!!) and carragher to real lmao also sold a keeper for 7 mil (not Reina!!)
We eventually won the europa leage and the premiership titles :-))

The thing is now in the new season It is not letting me buy any players I keep getting the message that talks have broken down and that player wanted to move but it is going to be hard to sign players who are first choice ????
I know you can change your scouts coaching staff etc is this what is needed in order to successfully be able to negotiate a transfer???

Oh man, if only PES could play like this all the time....what a game I just had.

Derby clash v Everton at Goodison. 20 minutes, zero assists. Pure class, and when the game plays THIS good you wonder why KONAMI don't back themselves with the game and just unleash it instead of filling it with rubbish scripting everywhere. PS3 by the way, for some reason, I'm back in love with the console.

Cahill scores first for Everton, a threat constantly throughout the game. A lovely through ball, I got the wrong side of him, he uses his strength to brush aside my CB, and calmly hits a lovely dink over the on-rushing Reina. Pure class.

Then I equalise with a Stevie G lovely finish. Ball played up to Suarez who approaches the box, turns and lays it back for Stevie G, a very subtle split second flick of the analogue enables Gerrard to take a lovely deft touch away from his marker, straightens up and slots a calm controlled finish right hand of the net. Lovely, contextual, brilliant.

http://youtu.be/1Bu2SOcBVzY

Then Lucas scores off a corner, pulls away from his marker, 2-1. Then 3-1! A Gerrard thunder bolt after sustained Liverpool pressure!

At this stage I was coasting and started to relax a little...bit mistake. After 10 or so minutes of nothingness in the game, a lapse of concentstion from me enables Everton to get the ball to the wing. I didn't fall back enough, came in too quick and at the wrong angle, which gave the winger ample time to hit a decisive volley cross, which was headed home....game on 3-2.

http://youtu.be/AtfK7bDLf04

Then Everton ramped it up for the first time in the game with a concerted possession period. I couldn't possibly lose from here I was thinking. A corner later and the pressure was still on. Then a couple of rebounds, to which it falls to Cahill who hammers a right foot shot smashing off the post and away. Close one.

Then in the dying moments Everton switch off, a lax pass and a defensive error leaves Suarez to manipulate a path into the area, he composes himself and then triggers off an R2 pass into the corner....4-2!!

http://youtu.be/UZ3Rj-eNe3s

Fantastic game of football, and at one stage Everton threatened the impossible.

It begs the question - why have KONAMI got to interfere with their game so much artificially when it plays this good? It really does stagger me. I could play FIFA a thousand times and not have this level of intricacy at times, so why in my eyes are they holding this SOMETIMES great game back. It's almost like they are afraid of letting it go. Some of the football Everton played was just lovely a times. Cahill showed some lovely animations, some brilliant hand offs and backing into my defenders, his aerial threat was superb and strength to boot. Gerrard, well star man on the pitch, strong, pass master etc. Suarez tricky, close control, so to Rodriguez. Kelly, bit flimsy in the challenge, but he's young and will learn and he felt raw and exposed sometimes to Cahill. Everton, resilient, they felt like Everton. There were so many small joyous things in this one match that makes you so angry with KONAMI. There are times when this game (animations etc apart) is incredible.

Anyway, I digress a bit. Fantastic match, and now up to 5th with 12 games to go, 8 points behind strong leaders Chelsea. Villa fans will be ecstatic with McLeish, they are currently second lol! Then Utd, City and me.

Nice post dude and this for me at least ..finally once and for all; is almost proof that Evo is, was, and in my eyes will always be a much much better game than ARCADEY fifa

Amen:APPLAUD:

After the derby game, I had 2 further crackers, and a game that was quite literally the most bonkers game of my life!

Arsenal at home was up next, always a nemesis opponent with their tricky fast players, and they deservedly took the lead on 15 minutes. Persie converted after some lovely inter-play. It took me a while to find a pattern to break them down, but it came on 43 minutes, when Suarez found some space in the box, fired for the keeper to save, and Carroll slide tackle it in combated by two Arsneal defenders as the ball trickled over the line. Arsenal were playing some seriously good football up to this point, short passes, decisive stuff.

Second half and the game started to drift towards my favour as I took advantage of Arsenal's compact midfield by strengthening the left wing with Downing. He started to skin his man and this was the threat for Liverpool. BUT - disaster struck, just as Liverpool had concerted pressure, van Persie pulled a worldy out. An Arsenal goal kick, a flick on in the Liverpool half from Chamakh, and the ball bounced into a a vacant space. 25 yards out, Persie had no hesitation and hit a stunning half volley low along the grass, piercing the bottom right of the goal. Reina had no chance.

THEN - with an all out attack strategy shift, a long ball into the box was headed back by Carroll, Suarez shimmied, got past a man, then gave it back in the box to Carroll, who turned on his trusty left peg and rifled home - 2-2 in the 90th! It was the last kick of the game, a deserved draw I think at a tough Emirates. Man of the Match?? Persie no doubt.

Right - then came quite literally the most bonkers game of PES I've ever had. The games I'm playing lately are on professional, zero assist, 20 mins.

QPR started rampantly, with interplay from Campbell (his best game EVER) and Tarabt. 1-0, 2-0, 3-0 inside fifteen minutes, and the Kop was stunned. Then the fightback. I can't even remember now who scored what and where, Gerrard hit a sweet controlled power drive in all this, Adam hit a stunning off the bar drive, Downing I think scored a peach and the goal of the game arguably from Adam, a controlled volley from a Carroll cross.

(Gerrard goal first, then Adam volley which is the first time I've been able to execute it since purchase, then match highlights, which unfortunately only shows so many goals!)

YouTube - QPR highlights and Adam controlled volley

From 0-3 down, it went 1-3, 2-3, 3-3, 4-3, 4-4, 5-4, 5-5, 5-6, 6-6!!

Insane.

In all my years of PES footy I don't think I've ever had a game quite like it. Defences were literally all over the shop, the tactics just must have obliterated each other and the finishing from both was sublime. What a game! The weird thing was, it really didn't feel arcade or anything at all, just some stunning footy from both me and the CPU, and the defences had one of those days. It seemed both myself and the CPU bought into the frenetic nature of the game and both seemingly refused to budge tactics wise. Hell of a match.

15 games into the season Hull sit 5th in the league, won 7 drawn 3 lost 5.. Utaka continues to lead the team for goals, but Rodallega has started finding his feet with strikes in the last 3 games.. his taly stands at just 4 though, Petrov seems t be blowing hot and cold.. some games hes fantastic, others.. well Dernis has played from the bench many times..

For some reason Hull City were dnied a place in the FA Cup by the governing body, the first time this has ever happened to me in a PES game, but i reckon it may have something to do with former player Adebolas being found guilty of taking performance enhancing drugs.. either that or the fact Hull City are currently under investigation... some other clubs reckon the team are secret drug mules for the Mexican Cartels.. just cause we have one Mexican youth player.. people these days..

In my second year with Real Madrid... last year brought in Ganso, Neymar, and Lukaku. finished 3rd in league, got to the finals of copa (lost to Barca), and semi finals of CL (lost to barca). i lost to Barca 5 times in one season.

second season one transfer to speak of... X Alonso goes to Bayern for 42MM Euros. I could not bring in anyone, finding it hard to sign top players.

Changed the formation to 4-3-3
standard attack formation
Ronaldo (ss) -Benzema (ss) -Neymar (ss)
Ozil (LMF)- Diarra (CMF) -Di Maria (RMF)
Marcelo-Carv-Pepe-Remos
Casillas
Wide attack
Ron (LWF) - Benz (CF) - Neymar (RWF)
OzIL (LMF hugging touch line)- Diarra (CMF)- Di Maria (RMF)
Marcelo-Car-Pepe-Ramos
Casillas

Kaka, Ganso, Rahul A, Fabio, Lukaku, Higuan all getting tons of time
Fringe: Sahin, Granero,

what a difference a year makes. scoring has not been dominated by Ron. All strikers with 5 goals after two months.

and we beat BARCA. They were up 1-0 at the 80th minute when Higuan came on. scored twice to give us the away win!!

winter transfer target: Modric.

The second season comes to a close.. we finished 13th, with 44 points.. managed 58 goals, of which Utaka was top scorer with 14 Rodallega managed 11

My highlight of the year, signing Ramzi a 16 year old SS 73 overall kid from my youth academy, could be a real talent!

In other transger news former captains Kkilbane and Chester both leave on frees, but Hull secure Cloccini, Bassong and Dramé on frees as replacemnt
The new year with a new defence, which is welcome as the old only had one clean sheet all year

Just had my most satisfactory/complete game of PES 2012 since purchase, a 4-0 tactical schooling of Arsenal at Anfield!

After a 2-2 draw against Wolves at Molineux, I adjusted the formation against Arsenal's powerhouse down the middle style of play. Replacing creativity for craft, Spearing came into the middle to partner Lucas as two DMF's, with Gerrard being the point of a midfield triangle designed to stem and counter through Downing and Maxi. The plan worked a treat. Quite honestly, this was the most complete game of football in its execution I have played to date, allowing Arsenal to play their football in non-key areas, stifling, and then maintaining some possession of my own with patient build up, slowly encouraging and only engaging in trigger runs when absolutely necessary. I scored a goal last ten minutes but by then the lads were shagged and it was all Arsenal for basically the last 20 minutes. Brilliant game.

Match Stats -

Yellow Cards 2-1

Guys, I have dished my fair share of critique over this years game, and rightly so in areas. BUT - when it plays to it's best, nothing is touching this game, not now, not ever. This is PS3, Superstar, 15 mins.

EDIT - I also think it's absolutely critical this year to foul. I know this may seem a little weird, but you really have to have that midfield combatant or combatants and try to break the game up. If you feel the game shifting away from you, or sense danger in certain areas, bring that b****** down, and take a few for the team. This is the first game of footy ever I think, that needs all the aspects looked at to compete at the higher levels. A mixture or long and short balls, fouls and open play, time to attack in numbers and a time to retreat.

If only KONAMI could cut down on the scripting, this game would be exceptional. It doesn't need the nonsense scripting, honestly it doesn't.

Is this still out-of-the-box PES 2012? And are you changing your previous recommendation from yesterday of Top Player to Superstar?

Sorry to say my 'out of the box' experiment fell on its arse after around ten games, when there was some serious scripting kicking in, and some soft goals; it seems the keeper fix IS a big issue.

I've had a series of quite superb games with GTM World Patch over 1.03, just for kits and names etc, but no gameplay tweaks. I' playing back to what I was doing before, that is Superstar, 15 mins, 3 bar assists. It seems this is the mode that sits the best with me overall.

:OH:

This third year is going fantastically well, the new defence is holding brilliant while Utaka up front has hit 19 goals in 17 games and captain Carlos Martins has 10 assists. Both players head the league in the respective stats.
We currently place 2nd in the division behind Bolton Wanderers by a point but above 3rd placed Southampton by 7 yes SEVEN points and again 8 clear of 4th placed Swansea.

Rodallega became unhappy at not playing in the team, a formation switch to 4231 with two CMF and one AMF to blame as the form of 17 year old Ramzi was too good to ignore 5 goals and assists in 10 games show how vital he has been this year.

I won't be planning a Barclays Premier League challenge yet however, despite the points difference my squad is small with only 21 players, and with my notoriously bad record in second half of the season in the previous years it's still possible that I will throw away promotion all together. With only £1.1M in the bank buying players isn't an option so again I will be looking for frees to bolster the squad, and with finances showing an expected loss of £4.9M it's likely a star player will need to be shifted to cover spending. I will also be looking for players available on Bosmans, I listed several targets in my favourites who are in the last years of contract and may look for a move away from the club, the method seems to be a good one bringing me 5 of my starting 11.

Oh shit, excuse the language, Petrov my starting LMF, Stewart my RB and Koren one of my CMFs have all got rejected new contracts and are now purple arrows moaners, while Fryatt has gone the same route.. All citing not playing enough, cause they missed one game crazy.. Petrov was also annoyed I rejected bids for him in the pre-season.. With an injury to Cairney my squad is effectively reduced to 16 members making new signings from the free list truly vital right now, watch this space for details on the situation.

J.Thomas joins from the free agents to replace Petrov, but things aren't any better as Utaka is hurt in training and is out for 2 weeks without a replacement up front and a game in 4 days the tigers turn to youth player Schwarz to fill the gap for the time being. While still looking out for freebies, looking into a deal for F.Bertoglio the AMF will add depth to the depleted squad, a 16 year old keeper also popped up in the frees Paulo Santos but it looks like I will miss out on him as I battle a Portuguese league team for him.

January comes to a close, Bertoglio deal sealed but the keeper opts for no transfer.

Giroud has refused a new deal and once again I will try to obtain the French forward, been on my radar since year one partly because I wanted a striker then and now because of the devasting job he did for Jimmy, RVP of Arsenal is another striker who rejected a deal, and could be moving for nothing as well as Ibrahimovic and Robben of Bayern.
Taarabt of QPR is another target of mine to place himself on the Bosman frame the creative Moroccan would be perfect for the club and so I hope to make the deal happen.

Nice update buddy ;)

I have only played a couple of games in the last few weeks in my ML, as UFC 3 has had me stupidly addicted.

Boro are currently sitting 11th in the EPL with 3 wins, 3 draws and 4 losses. I managed to buy a good 6-7 players before the start of the season and the lads have settled in very well. A long time target, Ben Basat(sp), has been a relevation up front, with Giroud out of the side due to injuries and tiredness. Giroud started the first game of the season then hasn't played since. He got a French National team call-up and got injured on duty. He recently returned in the last game I played, scoring both goals in 2-1 come-from-behind win over Blackburn.

I got K.Asamoah on a free, 92 Overall, but with £4.5 million a year in wages. He has been incredible in a deep CMF role. Boro are looking pretty strong this season, I had expected to get smashed, but with a much stronger depth in squad these days, we can give anyone a game.

More to follow ........

So the end of the year rolls on and Hull City come out battling but unable to secure the promotion, finishing 5th with 55 points 2 points behind both Nottingham Forest and Readig by 2 points Forest secure promotion by a single goal along with league champions Bolton and runners-up Swansea.
Utakas form and health suffered at a vital time of the year missing 2 games altogether and being subbed in a further 2 meaning he ends the year with 26 goals in 32 games.

So far 3 new players are due to join the team: Krhin, ironically is a Slovenian CMF who hopes to fill the gap left by his country man Koren who left for Cardiff on a free. Giroud joins hoping to ease Utaka out of the team and adding strength to a attack lacking in real quality depth. At RB Stewarts departure on a free to Swansea means we needed a replacement and he comes in the form of Colmumbian born Cuadrado on a free from Lecce it's clear that this boy is an attacking full back.

The transfer window continues to progress, 3 key players had to be sold off in Carlos Martins, Bassong and Dramé they all got angry at rejected bids and I didnt want a repeat of Petrov, besides no player is bigger than the club and if they're gunna throw a strop I'm gunna throw them out, the deals brought in £11million of which £5M is available for transfers and top priority at this moment is filling the left back slot, which we successfully achieve with a deadline day swoop for Bosman Boy Armand Traoré.
Our key transfer targets now are a new LMF and AMF, with a new CMF a possibility if there's money left after the main targets. The free agents give a hopeful look with Ben Khalfallah and Diamanti both available and both able to fulfill my requirements, negotiations look hopeful at this time. CMF is no longer required, Ramzi is happy to fill the role left by Carlos Martins, and with the loss of a captain a new one must be named it seems Coloccini is the only player experienced enough to carry the responsibility.

I can't believe you managed to sign him bud, I've been trying to secure his services for over 3 seasons now. His stats are superb on my ML, I'm sure he will do very well for you. His stats will certainly fly up, so keep hold of him.

Also, unlucky on promotion, I've been there also, missed out by a point or two in my 3rd season. Rest assured though, this campaign should see the lads hopefully build on that, and when you finally get to the EPL - you'll be ready. You will get quite a big cash influx from Sponsorship deals, so you can massively bolster your squad to compete.

Hopefully Giroud will fire you to promotion this season like he did for me. A different class that fella. I'd give him the Captaincy as well, for that extra secret stat-boost. He is also a great player to lead by example. ;)

He's a bargain on a free, 81 rating with Pinpoint Pass trait and already up to 82.
Good to here on the sponsor side of things, need to get more depth to compete a new CB is the first target though Da Silva just isn't up to Bassongs standards.
Captaincy hasn't been decided yet, but it's between Giroud for that boost, Coloccini for experience and Shimizu
