Valar Morghulis.
Hull City my club of Choice, plenty going forward however only 4 registered defenders means Palmieri and Voichulerd are both promoted straight into the starting XI while Shimizu goes into the RM slot of a midfield including Kilbane and Koren with Stewart out on the Left, McLean and Fryatt make up the starting front line.. the opening Friendly vs Fenerbache, with the Tigers defending wholey brilliantly and two well taken goals from Mclean means a 2-0 win!
Npower Championship Fixture 1:
Cardiff City vs Hull City
Poor defending on the wing early in the first half from Rosenior allows Whittingham to swing a crss in which was dully headed home by Gestede
It looked as though Hull would lose this one as the game ticked away with no real action, until the broke to Koren from a Cardiff corner, his long hopeful thrugh ball found Mclean who added his first league goal to the duo he grabbed in the Friendly.
Cardiff City 1-1 Hull City
Npower Championship Fixture 2:
Burnley vs Hull City
With Fryatt, Shimizu and Kilbane all missing through poor form, Hull Fielded 3. Fresh faces in this one.
Garcia was flying on the right wing and his menacing crosses looked readily capable of creating goals, and within 15 minutes Hull found themselves 2-0 up, two clean headers from Mclean. Hull then found themselves caught in a spell of Burnley dominance which resulted in Ings scrapping one over the line, given the score an edgey 1-2 look at half time.
Hull fans needn't have worried however, as the striking genius of Mclean led to an early solo goal in the second half, before Koren laid the ball on for Stewart who beat his marker and fired into the top corner from the edge of the box.
The last 5 minutes saw Mclean grab a 4th, yes a FOURTH goal, a nice R2 shot into the corner before Burnelys Austin Grabbed a Conselation.
Burnley 2-5 Hull City
Npower Championship Fixture 3:
Hull City vs Nottingham Forest
Hulls first home game of the campaign became the first defeat as an early Forest goal saw them shut up shop and, try as Koren and Kilbane might, Hull couldnt find a exploitive gap and Mclean saw his only shot of the game fly high and wide.
Hull City 0-1 Nottingham Forest
Npower Championship Fixture 4:
Reading vs Hull City
Shimizu returns to his RM position as Garcia is droped to the bench as the only change in this Hull side, hoping to recover from their first defeat this year.
The opening exchanges saw Mclean looking dangerous with 2 on target in quick succesion, while partner Fratt narrowly blazes over, Shimizu and Koren controlled the attacking flow in the first half while the defence looked strong with Chester meeting all expectations early on.
The home side are lucky to reach half time level, as the Toothhless Tigers dont look like they have the bite to put their chances away, 5 Goal Mclean missing a further 3 chances in that hhalf!
Hull subs Brady and King are brought on in hope of adding extra power to the side, Fryatt and Shimizu make way.
Reading finally started to look more dangerous in the last 15 and a rare mistake from Dawson at LB nearly allows Le Fondre to score from a good Karacan cross.
Stewart was a virtual spectator in this one, his only real involvement consisting of a cross to noone.
Reading 0-0 Hull City
After 4 games The Tigers sit 10th of the table, a long way off Derby at the top who have won their opening 4 scoring 9 in the process while conceding an average of 1 a game, at the other end,Leeds find themselves bottom after a winless start, losing 3 and drawing 1 the club has scored only 2 and conceded 9.
