PES 2012 Discussion Thread .......

I think the return of the challenge training mode is making me the most excited I have been about a football game for a couple of years now! I always loved the long ball challenges.

could the Argonauten G2 deal have something to do with in game advertisement? It would not come as a surprise. I can a see an option where even players can real make money. Argonauten g2 is all about advertisement.

The European Headquarters of KONAMI and argonauten G2 originally discussed an idea to extend the competitive element that makes PES 2012 so playable, and have been working closely with the PES Productions development team in Japan to bring these ideas to life.

This is a part of yesterday press release, so it's not just in game advertisement

Those screenshots look awesome, why had the animations be so robotic?, why can't we have the both things on the same game? :'(

as prefered, MASTER LEAGUE and BECOME A LEGEND are integrated in the new mode Football Life BUT,
check the last picture!!!!!!
CLUB BOSS (new mode may be?)!
It seems that we can play Football Manager in PES2012!!!:D

Also check Milan's kit in the picture with Inter and Milan, this patch

It's not in PES2011 Inter's kit. Probably fully licensed SERIE A is back in PES2012!

Something that bothers me, is why are the numbers and font so small on Englands kit? God, doesn't whoever designs these kits for the game ever refer to the real thing?

I read some Japanese and it says "Club Owner".

i've been on about it for years that ea fucks up the numbers in fifa and pes has it spot on.

now i think it completely switched - while still the numbers are off in fifa, the pc version can be edited to have proper fonts / names in proper size for basically EVERY team. which is quite amazing.

pes on the other hand, while having licensed numbers, seems to have some real issues now regarding the size of numbers...

The screenshots are great.

Btw to play as a manager, just set coach mode on in the team management --> then you'll play as a manager.

I realize some expect to be more than that in PES 2012 i.e be getting sacked, get offer from another club, etc. We'll see.

Love taking free kicks in training challenge mode. I could spend an hour whipping in free kicks with Beckham back in the day. Glad to see it back.

+1. They need a "like" button, as in fakebook

Will they have the "Floating Target" back from the PS2 Training Challenge days...? How about the dribbling ones where you had to go through the maze of cones - YEAH! I'M EXCITED NOW!!!

It was all about the free kicks for me, both on goal and long ball. The long ball stuff was good fun, trying to drop the ball on the target from long range.

With there being more of a manual element to the passing in PES these days, the long ball challenge could be a genuine training aid rather than just a bit of fun.

Just zoom the picture into 500% and you will see it's CLUB BOSS :))

I've just read the Japanese words really, and that's what it says.

So, I guess we can finally hire and fire, but we still at the same club. I wanted to be the manager, the one who's life's on the line, living lavish one day and sleeping with the fish a week later. Guess we're not having this then.

oh i'm just guessing about it. maybe not confirmed yet. probably announce in Gamescom :))
Hmmmm.... I've read somewhere (not sure where it is) about Italian Serie A clubs are licensed except Palermo (but only the clubs, not the league)
CMIIW

--edit--
Ah, i knew where i read it, but it was just a comment, not a legitimate source, and not sure where he got that. But it could be happen right ? the league is not licensed but the clubs are licensed.

i remember WENB or somewhere else confirmed that all SERIE A clubs are licensed(E3 code Palermo isn't but Preview code it does) but not the league.
Hope the league will do too :))

I'm stll holding out hope that KONAMI have been smart enough to integrate the option of moving between clubs in ML. If not then it will be a farking disgrace considering all the other stuff they are introducing in FL.

Don't worry there is still hope.

From what we can gather Football Life is similar to FIFA's Career Mode. So you play as a Player (BAL), Manager (ML) and finally the Club Owner. So they may allow us to move club in Master League. I guess we will find out next week. But I wouldn't be surprised if thats the case.

I would guess that football life could play like
standard playing career (17-33or36?)
then from 36 onwards you play as a manager until such a time the option opens for you to become club owner? i havent been following so dont know if details have been announced?

Still 90 times better than the kits in FIFA :)
you can easily add the 10 my friend because they deserve it.
kits in PES are much better then they are in FIFA.
just like you can say the commentary in FIFA is much better then in PES

Yep, I wish Konami would focus more on the commentary, I think Jon Champion & the other guy are an improvement, but it still needs a lot of work. I miss Peter Brackley & Trevor Brooking :D

in PES it never really feels as if they are watching the game but in FIFA they really do their best to keep up with what u are doing
