It's an interesting subject. Does diving belong in PES?

I think it does and it would be a shame if Konami removed it. Ok, in PES2010 it doesn't work well at all, as it's nearly impossible to fool the ref and win a 'foul', but diving is a big part of football (unfortunately) and it should be in the game.

I think they should keep it in, i mean, it's implemented well as it is. It requires skill to time a dive in real life and convince a Referee and PES reflects this as it's also takes skill to hit 3 seperate buttons with enough timing to "trick" the Referee.

It's always great when a game gives the player freedom of choice and punishes the player for making a bad decision like you do if your dive fails.

I never dive personally on PES not only because i forget that i can, but it reflects my inner footballer. I wouldn't dive in reality because im a tough and noble enforcer type player, but some players would as it's how they want to play and if they want to cheat, they do so at thier own risk.

I say keep it. It's not as cheap (or as unsightly) as it was in This is football, and if it means more freedom for the player, than so be it.
 
No need to remove features from the game. Add option to have it activated or not. Check-boxes and sliders to customize the game to the individual who plays it, that's the future, not removing stuff because some people don't like it.
 
Diving rarely works as it is, so there is very little incentive to use it as it always results in a yellow card. I can't see how anyone would be that opposed to it's inclusion if the diving mechanic stays as it is, i.e. almost completely ineffective. As Gab said, a simple menu option is all that's needed to cater for everybody.

Personally I'd like to see the controversies of real football replicated more in PES, such as diving, bad refereeing decisions, offside goals, etc. It all makes for great banter when playing friends!

A friend of mine said this too, but the trouble is these things already happen in PES. Although unintentionaly, it's controversial and frustrating enough as it to have a penalty denied or a player sent off because of some bad collision detection, pin-point offside decisions where a player is 1/1000th offside in the game, wheras a real lines man could not possibly detect such a thing.

Could you imagine how much worse it would be if these kind of incedents were completely intentional? Sure, you may very well get some cool looking cut scene with incensed players arguing with officials, but nothing is worse than the game taking it's scripting rituals to the point of forcing a new "Controversial" scenario on the player.
 
I thought it was there in the PS2 games.

Obviously I don't like it when it's a problem with collision detection or something, but me and my friends used to love it when the ref sometimes didn't blow for a stonewall pen or got a goal-line decision wrong on the PS2 games and I'm sure it was intentional coding.
I think this kind of thing is great as that's what we see when we watch the real sport.

No esta comfirmado que vaya haber algun club aleman licenciado.
la licencia de la bundesliga es exclusiva de EA Sport.

Es posible que algun club saliese licenciado, aunque tambien es posible que hubiese alguna actualizacion apartir de octubre que es cuando EA concluye su exclusividad (creo recordar que es en octubre)

de todos modos, habra clubs alemanes.

- alguien me pregunto sobre los porteros, lo que puedo decir sin equivocaciones no es si son mejores o peores, ya que en un partido pueden apsar mil cosas desde un 0-0 a un 4-0...pero los porteros al igual que los jugadores poseen los 360º con todo lo que eso conlleva, animaciones, giros....etc..

es dificil calcular si son mejores o peores, cada uno tiene su baremo, y deberiamos jugar al menos 50 partidos para saber si de verdad son "muy buenos" o son "muy malos" y aun asi no creo que sea una ciencia cierta...

All those sentences with "being worked on" give me a pessimistic view on those aspects

seguro no hay nada en esta vida

el año pasado estaba seguro que incluirian la opcion de elegir de que color querias la red en la edicion de cada club, y finalmente la descartaron y simplemente hicieron un apaño.

konami no se porque tiene novedades preparadas y se las deja para el proximo PES , supongo sera cuestion de marketing.

el año pasado yo dije que habria clubs alemanes, y finalmente no hubo, y los ponen en este..


konami tiene muchas novedades, ellos deciden cuando las implementan al juego. recordemos que han quitado vendajes, han quitado que la ropa se ensucie, o que los jugadores expulsen vaho...

algunos me han acusado de mentir con lo de bundeslgia o editor de redes, yo no soy konami, es cierto, no hubo editor, porque finalmente konami decidio poner redes de colores sin opcion de elegir, pero hubo color.

He said they have 360 degree movement with all the animations and movement associated with that. So yes I would assume he means new animations for keepers.

I haven't won a free kick ever in PES 2010 from diving, i'm convinced it dosen't work at all :CONFUSE:
 
I'm gald to know they are "working on" sound effects and commentary.
I'm sorry to sound like a stuck record- I have been playing a lot of FIFA WC the sound and commentary is by far the best I have heard in any sports game it just adds so much more to the general atmosphere. PES 2010 sounds like a damn funeral.
