I have and the games are freeking rapid!!!! its like its on +2 or something !!!
I liked previous online games as they were slower and more realistic!! my last 3 games felt like 100 miles an hour until 120 minutes...
Have they changed anything online with this patch ??
See, I'm looking for a (PS3) OF which has some other country's second division on it. I've never really been interested in playing Premier League on ML, I like to use teams from the Spanish, Italian or even French leagues partly because I prefer the style of play, partly because it just strikes me as a bit more interesting, and partly because (being English) I tend to dislike most of the big Prem teams on a gut level and don't really want to use them.
Trouble is, with the BLES issue, I reckon I'm not going to be able to find a compatible foreign second-division OF this year. Are there any going about which work with the UK game? I haven't found one yet. Spanish second division is my main interest, but Italian or French would be good too. I'm not getting my hopes up.
I will be updating this file soon (possibly today)as I have been working on tweaking the teams I have so far stat edited which are the Dutch, English, Spanish and Italian teams.
I am currently dropping the game speed and making forwards stay ahead of defenders a bit more and increasing the difficulty.
As long as the new patch does lead to me having to tweak further, I should have a new game play file for mine and goalgerd patch out today or tomorrow
I'm not going to be on the game for a few days, what's the general opinion about the new patch? Has it improved the game?
Really hope it hasn't increased the speed, for me -2 is perfect. To speed this up would be seriously annoying.
Have the Championship teams stats been edited as well?
This game rewards proper footballing tactics moreso than any other game I've played (hence my decent record on MLO and ranked matches), but I still think Konami could push it further for future editions.
Most of my goals are well worked and nicely executed, with a lot of variety and some looking very realistic - most of the goals I concede are from Arshavin/Messi whoring, deflections, keeper parries, cutbacks, crosses straight after throw ins (no time to position defence) and other cheap goals. I can count on one hand the amount of truly great footballing goals I have conceded, each time I sent a message applauding my opponent for such a goal...
"Professional gamers" should not get anywhere in PES, I hope that's what Konami are aiming for in the future - things like realistic stamina/fatigue, less automated tackling, slightly less pass assistance and more intelligent teammate AI would be top of my gameplay wishlist for PES 2012.

The cutback in the box is the new ultra exploit....With a good CF (that has high Atck attribute to position himself) its 90% goal....
The intelligence of teammate AI MUST be No1 priority espessially in the DEFENCE.

Been playing ML and at first I was loving it, but seriously, how are you supposed to consistently win when the AI makes your players' form either blue or purple? I just gave up on a match before I started. I'd previously won 3-1, then the next game my opponents are all on yellow/red, my ENTIRE team were on purple except for about 3 players, who were on blue. I couldn't be bothered to wade through that match hoping to cling on for a draw, because it's been happening more and more often.
At first it was kind of cool, playing when your back is against the wall, but form is making the entire season a slog now. When players are that off form they can barely run let alone put in a decent shot or pass.
OMG I am so mega pissed right now, I cant stand playing online, what a load of shit.
Its really slow and unresponsive, I press pass and it passes like 2 seconds later, and the matchmaking is fucking bullshit, I just started out on MLO and the first matchmaking person I get drawn against was some Division 1 guy with Barcelona consisting of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and lots of other very high players, and there's me with all the default Master League lineup, what kind of bullshit is that?
What can I do to fix the slow responsiveness problems? also the fucking player switching in online is a joke, pressing L1 and it highlights a player miles away and I've conceded a couple of goals because of it.
Played 3 matches in MLO and lost all 3, didnt even score and conceded 7. Fucking pissed off with it. Seriously, does nobody else have REALLY slow responsiveness for passing, shooting, dribbling on online?
I played some more yesterday night on xbox360 and it's definitely faster than before patch, I even feel -2 to be a bit too fast for my liking.
But I love how dribbling is more responsive and not only that: Every button-pressing is way more responsive, I had situations where the ball was rolling toward goallline with the goalkeeper beaten and I was able to run with a field-player towards that goalline and shoot the ball away preventing the ball entering. This was impossible before the patch, where it would be guaranteed to be an own-goal because of response-delays.
I think I like the new pressing it gives the mid-field-play some more weight and intensity, but I will take my time with it before I fully declare it a success.
What I don't like is that the passing is too precise, but that was about the same before the patch. A bit more manual-feeling with the direction of passes would go a long way in my book.
And is it me or are there now more fouls than before patch? I like it.
Oh, there is one thing that I hate that was also the same before patch: I like to have the running on the RT-shoulder-button and changing it from RB to RT is easy and the running works well enough, but when I want to shoot and happen to have the finger still on RT, the shooting becomes very weak, a sort of chipping or lob or what, at least without any power behind it. To shoot with power I have to completely let go off the RT-button and that is restrictive as I often have to run a bit to get into a good shoot-position or if I want to use the additional energy of running for the shot or the ball is in front of me and I have only little freetime to use it for a shot... I have to be able to run and shoot strong at the same time, but that is currently not possible with the running on RT.
That's no exploit. In real footbal this also lead to a lot of goals.
If you let the attacker cut back the ball from within the box, you made an earlier mistake to let him come that far in the box.

It is possible Henry, everybody who wants to strike the ball with plenty of zip, for the most part, needs to sprint a little to get the ball out of their feet. The problem your having is that your pressing sprint straight after you have struck the ball, and your initiating the 'Dink Shot'. This type of shot is a brilliant way to chip an onrushing keeper when you dont have the time to slip it past him either side. Just be aware of not pressing sprint after you have pressed shoot, unless your attempting the 'Dink', and you wont have any issues.
But that's exactly the problem: When I'm running with RT and that is the analogue shoulderbutton, how am I supposed to let go off it quick enough after the shot to prevent the "Dink"-shot being used? Sure with a lot of concentration and very quick reflexes it might work but in 80% of the cases it won't because of the long analogue-way. Isn't there a way in the setting to disable the "Dink"-shot being caused by that?
From others I just read the opposite: Online feels somewhat faster and more responsive, so I tend to believe it's your connection. Maybe you should try it again later.
Ever tried a www.speedtest.net test?
