Do you mean auto sliding? there is no auto clearance option. Also the auto sliding is bugged. Your defenders will still slide to block a shot in the box (which can still lead to penalties).

I honestly don't have a clue what on earth your talking about ? :CONFUSE:

All I vaguely remember is The Flying Donkeys grabbing a late winner to humiliate Athletico's overpaid Prima Donnas. But it's easily forgotten as one win is very much the same as the next for me.

Why do people insist on pausing the game when there is a break in play?

I just played someone who spent 75 minutes doing this and they only stopped because I finally scored.
 
I've paused myself when they do it and checked out their game plan and most times they're moving a player an inch to the side to block say your passes to your winger or they'll move their strikers back an inch as you keep catching them offside.
 
Had awful lag today, somehow managed to win two scrappy games before packing it in. Last game concluded with my keeper coming up for a corner, heading it against the bar then smashing it in on the rebound. Would have been significantly more rewarding if the previous 90 minutes weren't a button delayed borefest.


I'ma stop playing for a few days as I've lost enthusiasm for it at the moment.

The person I was playing didn't even go to the game plan, for most of the game it was just two seconds here, three seconds there.
 
maybe they're hoping it will lag you out so when you take your throw he can intercept or if they're taking their throw.. the lag will stop you from getting to the ball.
 
Yeah I think it's the new near post corner shite to be honest. Pausing at a set piece has an effect on the sync of the two consoles on the server, slight it may be, but they feel it enough to give them an advantage.

Anyone else finding it annoying that the CPU tends to never miss a FK from 25 metres or under? No matter who the player is taking it? I've had to actually just start putting someone on the free post to clear it, because the keepers never get there, but it's every fecking one of them thats conceded!

Online you can't posistion your goalkeeper. In the demo you could press L1+R3 so you can move your goalkeeper. but it doesn't work online. i really don't understand KONAMI and CO. They create and then remove.
 
found a big problem after konami 1.1 update, all the players ive created for the 36 teams in edit mode have been defaulted to their nationality they were before i edited them, so for example michael ballack at leverkusen is italian instead of german and so onl with all of the players, i dont think il bother fixing them as it will happen everytime konami release an update

file will be delayed now because of this to maybe early next week lads

All the fucking time mate, FIFA was the ultimate culprit for doing that but it was never that bad on PES so i was quite surprised.

The worst one's are when they score but it's not even because they've been stuck in the corner or out the keepers reach but in fact just about in the middle of the goal and your keeper does his diving animation after the ball has already passed him and hit the net.. Ugghh bad times.
 
just had an awesome game. UCL quarter final against Bayern Munich as Ac Milan. 1-0 to me in away leg and BM get an early goal to even the tie. i played slow and methodical and peppered BM's goal but Butt(GK) was outstanding, i could not get the ball past him. Got beat on penalties in the end but what a game it was.

I love how this game can do that to you.

I have just wrote a possible way around this on PES Gaming. If people are getting away with not saving the option file after applying the patch, we might be able to apply the patch and then re-load the old option file with loosing changes as it may be the case that you don't need to have the 1.1 version of the OF on after installing the patch
 
Just had a hilarious refereeing decision in an MLO match. Was a corner against me, nicely floated in and his attacker went at it with a lovely diving header, clean contact heading right towards the far post, keeper given no chance whatsoever.
Just as it is about to cross the line I hear the whistle blow, for a split second I put it down to lag or just off timing, but no the ref is standing with arm outstretched signalling for a free out.

Replay screen pops up and show Valeny standing just outside the 6 yard box, just outside the line of it and static, not moving whatsoever. Nothing of note happening, no players near him, then out of the left side of the screen his players head appears in the final way down of his diving header animation and his head touches Valeny's foot as he hits the ground and causes Valeny to do that lovely semi-stumble animation. Free out and goal disallowed. :LOL:

1st 2 games I came up against a pair of decent teams with worlds class strikers but managed to pull a smash and grab in both winning 1-0.

I get all excited for the 3rd match as I reckon I'm 1 win away from a qualification to the knockouts my heart sank as I drew a guy with Tevez, Arshavin, Pranjic, Donadel, Jarosik and a full team of decent players. The guy I played against kept pausing at corners and Fks for some reason, irritating as hell but I persevered. I started to notice that he was only focussing on trying to get Tevez and Arshavin to play throughballs and started harassing them with my midfielders. Also when I got the ball I slowed it down completely playing short, decisive passes and managed to grab an equalizer after neat work from Ruskin to get a goal for Guiterrez.

2nd half I held onto the ball in the same slow build manner, no 50/50 passes and dribbling with the likes of Dodo who was having a phenomenal game. I got another goal through D. Niculae and then it was on.

He panicked and tried to quick pass through midfield but the trio were having non of it. They hustled, pushed and made a bloody nuisance of themselves.

I kept the offensive attitude and reaped rewards 5 minutes from time when Guiterrez grabbed his second goal after a quick counter Jomaa my right sided SS was free on the left wing a quick pass to the middle to Giocomazzi I then drew his CBs and passed it out wide to Jomaa again, Guiterrez made a magnificent run and I dinked a manual chip over to him, he ran onto it to go 1-on-1 against his Gk and hit a low shot that squeezed under his keeper and into the net. I went apeshit, jumping around like a mad man.

Unbelievably, I didn't qualify through what must be goal difference. But I was proud as a bloody peacock.

The guy I beat sent me a message to tell me I am a "lager", which probably meant lagger but the game was smooth as butter so I told him cheating was not my style.

I love MLO moreso beating the big guns.

excellent post mate, reminds me of a few crackers I've had myself against the MLO run/gun superstars. I had 65% of the ball against some thru pass hog the other night and beat him 2-0, the Iranian bloke Jimmy suggested netting a brace, sweeet.

:CONFUSE: you know if this happened to you in the final of a competition you would be facking pissed. My sympathies to the gentleman that deserved the goal.
 
is it only me or are the passes way too easy on this version? for example if you make a terrible short pass, the nearest player/team-mate automatically gets attracted to run to the ball. this was never in last-gen PES, was it?

this makes it so easy for those pressure abusers who have no idea how to play proper passing football to just zip their passes up attack.. terrible.
 
Just had a very satisfying win, albeit on penalties. Here is the story. This guy Clint was in D1 and I checked his profile and he had been using his master league team for the past 5 matches. That was suspicious, so I waited for him to pick the team. He left his cursor on Braga, so I went to PSG and selected it, thinking he might have chosen it. No, true enough he went to choose his master league team. Luckily I had cancelled my selection and I tried to change the team, but ran out of time and ended up on Deportivo.

I saw his team sheet and yes, my suspicions were proven correct. You can check it out yourself in the pic below. So I tweaked my tactics, went to play and yeah he just kept giving through balls to Ronaldo to chase, and pass it to Drogba. Since they are strong, sometimes it's difficult to shake them off. But I played my own game, passing it around, first half I had 60% possession. Score was 1-1. Second half he scored through Ronaldo, and he was so happy he was like spamming Yes! Yes!, not as if it was a great goal. I stayed patient, passing it around, and he scored an own goal when he tried to clear a through ball. Haha I was LMAO. Had a few more chances to win the game, but wasn't able to convert sadly. Went to penalties, and I finally beat him.

These kinda idiots just put me off, but I got an immense satisfaction from beating him. Why do the the whole pretending to pick a weak team? Seriously don't understand how they get any kind of satisfaction from using a team like that to beat a weaker one. Oh well.

i learnt the trick to annoy these twats. just keep passing the ball around. most of the time, against these twats, i have 70% possession at the end of the match overall and usually draw the game, if not win by a goal.

and by these twats, i mean barca, madrid, chelsea, milan playing against my birmingham, newcastle, west ham.
 
I became one of those the other night by association heh.

Popped into a 2 v 2 lobby as the final player and the guy choosing the teams picked Chelsea against the footballing giants of Israel.

Chelsea having a midas touch vs a weaker team, coupled with the fact that myself and the other guy were on the same wavelength meant we were free to play the other two off the park.

5 - 0 and a quit at half-time and, well i actually didn't blame the other team heh.

Could EVO WEB maybe commandeer a lobby for 2v2 matches? I'd love to pop in and partner some chaps not afraid to play fearlessly with Blackpool, or pile on the pressure in a dogfight with Galatasarey for example.

It would be great if there was a drop in lobby for us to play each other. :))

This is why i love this game. With some tough strong brutes in your team you can shake them off. Then with some good passing and finishing you can beat them.
 
dunno, I feel some of you do exhibits some sort of elitism and the feeling of superior too much...

speaking of that, you guys also making it like there is no people who actually plays proper football with barca/milan/chelsea/madrid and the likes... or is it actually exist? how do you fares against these kind of players then? humiliated too much? :LOL:

Give your head a shake. It isnt hard to play excellent football with the likes of those teams. The real skill is playing excellent football with lesser teams.
