PES 2011 Discussion thread

Still not had a lagless game :(

Also had plenty of off the ball slide tackles go unpunished, very annoying when your counter attack is in full flow and your option is taken out.
 
Boot up PES2011 today and you will see that a data pack is available from the Extra Content menu.

So far there is nothing new to report with this latest DLC and would appear to be more of a fix to the previous content released a few short days ago on October 12th. What this means however is that the well documented ‘Ireland kit’ bug has now been fixed, which is sure to please many.

There are also some reports coming in that the Master League Online ‘own goal’ bug has also been addressed

The next game i played Inter. Noticed they had Danny Higginbottom playing for them at centre back. Thought this was incredibly odd.

The next game i played Inter again in the Italian Cup. They put out a weakened side which i thought was cool. Problem was, they had Diego Milito partnering Danny Higginbottom at the back.

I had to double check to make sure it wasn't Gabriel Milito. It wasn't. It was Diego Milito. It was odd, and i won 2-0.

So nobody can say how to put in low shots? Is it actually impossible to deliberately, when running in on goal, intentionally put a low shot towards one of the corners? Is shooting half automated then (apart from direction)?

Of course it's possible, but it depends on many things, the position of the ball, your players body position, if you are sprinting/not sprinting, the players shot accuracy stat, the players shot power stat whether you are under pressure or not, how much power you give the shot and finally where you aim.
A lot of people seem to be having issues with the shooting, I'm not sure if they've been playing a lot of FIFA over the last few years (not saying you have) but PES shooting is a lot more about "feel" than it is about a power bar. I guess the only thing to do is practice. Go into training and just free play, try different shots using different approaches and look at the results.
 
Todays patch only fixes the Rep. Of Ireland kit fuck up that the last DLC caused. Nothing else as far as I'm aware.

Ahhh, I have never changed this setting and always assumed it altered the amount of transfer windows. I think I will restart my ML and change it to low.

With regards tothis DLC fixing things, I think its fixing stuff that was updated with the last DLC rather than other issues, could be wrong though.

On another note does anyone else find that the French are always super laggy to play against?

Exactly, mirror real life technique and you can strike the ball anyway you wish. I'll post a video later which has some superb long range shots struck along the deck. It's all about posture, balance, and technique.
 
About the tackling.
It's a very minor issue, but if i see replays of "wrong" tackles (by my team), it seems to me that in 90% of the fouls caused by my tackles, i have the ball and afterwards i touch the opponent player...i wonder of this are fouls?

Online abusers are so gonna get a hold of this. I'm finding it downright infuriating how I can get knocked off the ball with a standing tackle and not a whistle blown. Very, very uncool. Dribbling has also been quite ineffective since the demo, considering no fouls are rewarded whatsoever.

I mean what's the point of using the new defensive controls when you actually have to fight against them to get back to the old pressure whore methods; since they work so well.

Everyone rightly complaining should just play with mates online or just fuck the whole system off. This applies to 95% of online multiplayer games. The more you're around to feed the exploiters, the more they'll bite away at your temper.
 
Is it even worth having a substitute goalkeeper in MLO? Could get a decent release price for that Lothar fella, hasn't been needed yet.
 
to those who are used to play on the slower gamespeed such as -1 and -2, how are you guys coping online? i'm struggling to see how my simulation game is turning so arcady online with the default gamespeed. is there anyway to play with only gamespeed of -2 online? im sure there must be. the MLO videos were played at a much slower pace during the beta.
 
Well the own goal exploit is still there. Was just playing someone who seemed to play normally until I went 1-0 up, then proceeded to score three own goals and get the game abandoned. Fucked up my 3 consecutive matches thing as well, would have gotten to two wins and and a draw, now I'm still stuck on two draws and a win.
