PES 2011 Discussion thread

Absolutely cannot wait for this now. Hopefully Shopto get it in stock tomorrow and send it out so I can get it for Wed/Thurs. I'm hyped by the comments and reviews saying that PES is back on form, and some of the comments saying it could be the best PES yet. Brilliant.

I did enjoy the demo a lot aswell.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this is hands down, easily the best PES ever. Add everything into the mix and nothing else comes close. And what an incredibly solid base to work from. This is a whole new era and the benchmark has been significantly raised.Two more days and I will have the little facker. :)

Sounds superb. Yeah, 4 more days here, but as I said hopefully Shopto send my copy out when they get them in as they usually do. :)
 
Oh dear god, I'm gonna waste my life away in Master League. 0-1 wins are so bitter sweet; I also tried out BAL and the player A.I actually has great finishing and holds possession well.

Oh and I'm still a little unnerved whenever the foul stats are in, Me: 4 fouls CPU: 0

i thing that got me upset about konami was they didnt include english language in the euro version even if i can speak 2 more languages they should of had english in it how sorry can you be just because the euro version was going to be out 6 days before the brit version
 
Yes, and the English version came later because it's a lot cheaper than in the rest of Europe and they wanted to prevent people from preordering British games ;)
 
I've played well over 100 games by now and I really cannot understand the complaints I am reading about the graphics. PS3. Obviously there are missing frames here and there and I am sure they will upgrade the animations next year but this game doesn't even look like the same team worked on 2010. Graphically this is miles ahead and it plays much better than anything I have played before. I am not great on the controls I can just imagine what you can do if you are really good at it.
 
I have gotten the full game for pc and my first raction was WTF happened to the full game? I thought the game was too fast the players models looked weird, I was about to curse Konami's ancestors out until I say wait change your bloody pc settings. Once that was done the game was back to its full glory with better improvements. I was one who had problems with the constant fouls and replays well Konami toned down the fouls by alot. fowards like Messi can rob you in front of your goal if you arent careful, but you can do the same as well which make for some nervous moments when you are trying to kill time. But there are fouls in the game for those who say there aren't, I have even gotten a penalty, which my Bal created player sent sky high without my permission.

The thing is that I am finally experiencing again the joy of scoring a goal. My first goal which I will post soon was just too nice, I can't even explain it. Though since I mostly play the BAL , I have to say the AI is so much better this year, the actually pass the ball to you when you make a run, Currency is finally in the game instead of points, and the coach pre-game and on the field instructions help you out in getting good ratings. Best of all creating your player is so much more simpler and efficient this year, there is a section the creation process that gives unlimitted time to recreate the final stats of your player till you get the stas you want. My player has an agility of 90 . Though I still had a dreadful first season going in and out of the Socheaux Lineup.haha With patches that will be released later the PC version of pes 2011 will be all the football gaming you will need till pes 2012. Kudos to Konami a job well done.

I got FIFA 11 two days early from shopto (on wednesday) and I am praying the same happens with Pro, if it doesn't theres a very high chance I'll stab someone.
 
Played the full PC game for the first time tonight, and I am mega impressed. Slicker, more responsive and more intelligent than anything else I've played.

It's just so addictive. Played 4 matches in Exhibition, four more in CL mode and even losing is enjoyable. I got panned 4-0 away at Galatasaray in my last game of the night and didn't want it to end.

Referees are spot on now apart from not quite enough advantages played. Shooting seemed easier too but the keepers harder.

Looking forward to the PS3 copy arriving!

Yes, he is at United.

Finally I pass to UCL semifinals with Milan (all transfers done). First leg I got trashed 3/0 then in the away game I won 4/0 with a stoppage time goal from Pato. But before that, it took me 4 games to knock out United.

This game is great!

Hi Putu, one question

- whenever i played ML in PES 2010, the cpu ai team use different style/strategy. I remembered beating MU within the league with their open play, but in first KO stage i met hamburg, and they play full defense, pressing, and fast counter attack, i restart several time :CONFUSE: Tell me if each match still feels different is still there ?

I have played very little PES 2010, nor the ML. That game sucks worse than a sewer rat! :D

It could also be your playing style...? If you don't build up an attack slowly and thus have your midfield retaining posession, then if your Striker with the "chasing back card" may be triggered into dropping back more to help out.

Replicating Walter Smith's tactics when Rangers went to Man Utd?
 
Updated impressions of the german full game on xbox360, I concentrate on the negatives cause the game is awesome not needing more praising:

- In the demo there were too many small fouls whistled, in the full game it's the opposite, a bit too little.
- Speed on 0 is indeed a bit faster than in the demo, I would guess -1 resembles 0 in demo.
- Graphics look phenomenal when in day and sun-time, but when it's night it doesn't look nearly as nice.
- Replay-camera is rigid, it needs to be freed up like it was in the old PES-games, same goes for penalty-camera, it needs to be behind the shooter.
- Jog-Bug and greenzone-bug are still in.
- Passing is a bit too assisted.
- Loose-ball-bug: My team-players seem not to be aware of loose balls, when it's sitting dead on the pitch, they don't react it to it as if it belongs to another player from the opponents. It even costed me a goal because my goalkeeper didn't jump on the ball or shot it away that became dead and lay only one meter in front of him... he looked at it and waited until the opponent shot it towards him...

It's an awesome game but I hope that a patch comes along to fix these small niggles.

The speed thing is a bit annoying because the default in the demo is more or less perfect, so why the need to make it faster konami?

Any news of deals for Friday in the UK, some supermarkets offering it for cheap perhaps?

God I hope so, Really annoys me and also contradicts konami's individuality aspect. I mean if we can so easily tell who is who, which we can, why the f#$k do we need names over their heads?!

Hopefully have it by the weekend, ordered from England ( I just can't play games with Dutch menu's).

Morrisons have done it for £25-30 on release date for the past 3 years, Tesco are usually similar on price.
