PES 2011 Discussion thread

PS is that using the EDF JAILBREAK GROOVE not that way but it can be relinked to the teams of the Copa Libertadores and put them in friendlies and in all competitions, seek to win the Copa Libertadores to see if it allows desblokear those teams and putting them in friendly , hopefully it will go, but nomas with the console can be modified

Re Shopto,

Glad to see more positive comments. I just remember quite a few complaints recently in the other games' section. I always order from Game and that's been fine (although not pre-release games).

I just played the full game (PC ver). It's much better than demo.

-Ball physics vastly improved. It feels heavier, no more floaty. Really amazing!
-Game feels more fluid, dynamic
-Less fouls, ref lets you fight for the ball. It's good imo.
-The green zone bug is still there (at least on professional) :(
-The ball is smaller (or it's just my imagination)? I must take some screenshots and compare to the demo.

What ist this stupid thing about "stamina" in this years PES?

It decreases even if you do NOTHING in 90 Minutes.

That mean:
Play a game on lowest difficulty, take the ball and stand still, so the opposite team doesn't attack. Everyone on the field is standing still. Do the same in the second half and then have a look on your stamina around 80-90 minutes of game time. All staminabars are red, alltough none of the players hardly moved during the game.

Not very realistic in my eyes...

Must be all those hookers they're shagging at half time taking it out of them.

Looks like the ad boards can only be a single repeated image :(

Hang on why on earth would you do that. I think the game is spiting you for stupidity.

Anyway I have learnt to conserve energy better mostly as a result of trying to keep D'Allesandro on the pitch as long as possible and it has worked so I can't understand why your players are getting tired if you not even moving...I smell bullshit.

Why I would do that? Ok here's the full story! (Sorry for my english)
Because I played a 5 Minute game in the CL-Mode with Real Madrid (on lowest difficulty to test some of the Feint-Combos, Accumulated Fatigue off, Injuries Off)
Just right after the beginning of the game I had to answer the phone, so I lay the controller down in possession of the ball and all players stand still after a short period of time. At half time I'm still at the phone so I pressed X to go to second half. There I took the Ball and ran to my own box and lay the controller down the second time. Again none of the players on the pitch moved. The call ended right before the end of the game around the 85. minute. I began to run with the possessing player and noticed the red stamina bar. So I went to menu immideatly to check the stamina for the rest of the team and all players are red (some of them even without any red bar left).

I tested this a second time with the same result under controlled conditions to see if it happend only by accident.

So please tell me nothing about Bullshit.

This can't be the way it is intended to work!
What if I lead 1:0 and want to conserve my stamina. So I try to keep the ball in my own defense lines to spare my offense. And at the end they are fatigued anyway...?? :FAIL:

And for the second time: I don't want to play this way (as you stated: why on earth would I???) but it happend and it makes me thinking about the style of play (Stamina conserving / Stamina consuming)
Maybe it depends on the difficulty setting or anything to punish you for doing nothing...???

How do you know? Because this one have only single image?

I'm just assuming it at the moment. Every image or video of the stadium editor I've seen has only shown 1 single repeated ad going around.

Why didn't you just pause your game to answer the phone?

Post of the Year nominee...

Thanks bud, your words are very kind.

Ive waited ten years for this game(pes2011),which is for me the spiritual sequel to the great games majorA were making on the n64 back in the day married with PES.

Always loved pes,but i felt that my manual skills honed on ISS on the n64 were being wasted over the years and konami were failing to add the ingredients that would take pes to another level, now i feel they have ie-unparalled user control.

For me pes always had the stats side nailed and the nuances of how different footballers technical abilities varied but they never managed to free the control interface up or managed to offer the end user that feeling that your actually doing everything yourself,up until now,and im loving the fact that the horrible scripting and contrived nature of the gameplay has finally gone to be replaced with the fantastic ALCHEMY in the ai that majorAs games had.

Already hitting the high notes of the code, and as someone who detracted slightly over to fifa last year because i prefered the freedom of control, for me now there product doesnt even compare.

Ive worked very hard over the years to get konami to change there mindset, constantly emailing them and sending them videos to get them to move away from the restrictions of the d-pad and automated 8-axis passing and shooting that for me always felt like a step back from the direction they were moving in the ninties.

There on the right track again and to turn the series around like they have shows real commitment and hard work considering there limited budget and numbers compared to the deep pockets and staff numbers of EA,and IMO while there always room for improvent i feel pes2011 is FOOTBALL perfection, and im not easily PLEASED.

In a funny kind of way we probably in some small way have ea to thank, they went back in time and re-invented many of konamis old concepts from the ninties with fifa 08 onwards and now konami have taken that back, but in a different way that feels fresh and creative which is what i admire about the japanese.

The late but great Mr. Katsuya Nagae who was the master of replicating the dynamics of football and great gameplay to boot who single handedly created the football template we see in the games of today,im sure is looking down at the apprentice SEABASS with a very proud look in his eye.

You can't play ML with Copa Libertadores teams mate. It doesn't make sense because you get to qualify for the Europa League and Champs League. That wouldn't be right.

I'd like to see them under other Latin America though, so I get to play their Champ in the Konami Cup (Club World Cup).

That's a shame :(

Perhaps it's possible to buy these chaps within the ML though if so, it would open up a whole new market of unknown players

thanks

Simon

I don't if I'm imagining things but you can create space between you and your defenders if you cleverly time your R1 button press like rarely before.
Dribbling in general feels so great

Another nice thing I just stumbled upon with the final version yesterday night: If you want your teammembers to press more, you merely need to press x/the blue button (or was it L+x) on the xbox360-pad and your teammmembers get closer to the opponents...

Tested PC version on Professional
I partially agree:
Fouls ratio has been cutted too much (not realistic now imho)
Shots are now more easy to do from any position
AI is less reactive building the gameplay

I think it's easier than demo...
More test is needed.

So glad your now feeling the pes2011 magic,i admire your objectivity and how your man enough to say i was maybe a little to quick to pass judgement on unfinished demo code which is sometimes sadly lacking. It takes a real man to say maybe i was a little to quick to pass judgement.

Sometimes developers only want you to see the glass nearly fall, theres nothing like the extra suprise of the finished product exceeding your expectations.

Youve still posted some great posts and ive enjoyed immensly your rants both on here and wenb, theres nothing wrong with wanting the best from your beloved franchise.:))

I'm hoping you kind find the Copa Players through their nationality rather than the club teams. I cant see how this wouldnt be possible if they are already on the database ?

I'm guessing if you can't buy international players in ML (not at a club) you won't be able to sign these Copa players either.

It would nice if someone with the game could just quickly check in ML, if both international players (not at a club) and Copa Libertadores players are available to sign.

You were right, the PES-demo is nothing compared to the full version, probably similar to your beloved WE-demo... so you had the joy to play the polished product much longer than we poor souls.

I only wished you had posted a real full match-video on top-player like you promised to do, it would have calmed my nerves and answered a lot of questions.

But ok, the full version is here, it's all good, it plays way better than the demo, control is much more polished, teammembers are more aware and react quicker when selected (even player-switching has been improved) and espescially the CPU's attack-AI has been greatly improved.

Of course it's not perfect: Goalkeepers need more animations, referee must learn advantage, collisions need more variation... but that's nearly all, most of the problems of the demo were solved (except maybe for the greenzone-bug, haven't tried it yet).

Great game.:BOP:

This year KONAMI focused to make the core game right. This game is aimed at the hardcore.

They didn't have time in 4 years to implement good advatage rule or proper goal nets..

Oh come on, we have Pumpkin Heads, Barrels, Cushions and Sweet Wrappers, jeez, you just cant please some people :CONFUSE:

Unfortunately I can't seem to find any Copa Libertadores in the Master League under club or nationality.
