PES 2011 Discussion thread

I've had the same bug happen twice now in the demo on two separate occasions.

Both times it's been when i've been messing about changing the game speed.

Basically the aiming gets all messed ud. For instance i could be running left or right and i'd press pass and aim directly down using the left stick and the pass would go up. Odd, anyone else had this?

Very Funny! :))

I didn't want to play this way, but this means it isn't important whether I sprint a lot with my players or I try to safe stamina, because at the end of the game all players are exhausted even if i do nothing...

That's certainly not true for Internacional in the demo. If I nurse D'Alessandro through a game without using sprint, he's often just below halfway and still green on 75 minutes. If I sprint with him and try to over-use him (so tempting as he's so-o good compared to the other players in the 2 Copa teams) he ends up with about 1/5th energy and red after only 60 minutes.

I definitely haven't attempted to stand still for an entire game.Which, as it's a nonsensical situation, can understandably create an unusual result.

I can't speak for everyone but all I can is that the "bug " is not present in my version of the retail PES 2011
I'm loving the way when timing acceleration can create between you and your defender

I have now the german full version, played a first friendly match with Bayern against Barcelona at top-player on xbox360, in order to compare it with the demo. Here are my observations:

# Graphics are the same to the demo, but no stuttering anymore!
# Referree doesn't know what advantage is but he doesn't whistle nearly as much as in demo which is great as it lets the game flow better!
# Dribbling and general control of the player is tighter and better than in demo!
# Gamespeed is about the same as the demo but because of the better control of the player it seems like it's faster. or maybe it's a bit faster but I don't feel it as much as to notice it.
# AI of teampartners and opponents is much better, my players make meaningful runs and the opponent-AI ripped me up... Barcelona won 4:0 against me... in the demo Barca was only able to win 1:0 or 2:0 at the most, often drawing with me 0:0 or 1:1.
# German commentary is as aweful as I remembered it from older PES.
# Atmosphere is much better than in the demo!

Wow, the full game is much better than the demo, I compared with the same teams and the difference is nearly night and day... thanks to the better control and the better team-AI making good runs and being more aware, the game is considerably more dynamic than in the demo and the opponent-AI is god-be-thanked-for-that a force to be reckoned with in attacking.

There are of course niggles like the goalkeeper having not enough animations and the camera of the replay not freeflowing as it was in former times, but these can be easily forgiven cause the game is pure challenging fun, awesome stuff!

Mine says status: delivery, but I don't think that means it's being processed as I can still change my delivery option. I think it's a bit misleading.

I considered ShopTu but I have an annual ritual, I visit a local dealer that I have used since I was 12. I see him every Thursday morning, once a year. It's always an under the counter job, and it all feels very cloak and dagger, for some bizarre reason :CONFUSE:

I have Thursday, Friday, and Monday booked off work as well, loads of holidays to take so might as well put a few to good PES use. :)

Edit- It sounds awesome HH, thanks for the heads up, the full retail is always tighter, smoother and more responsive than the demo's.

I've played also the german full version.

My impressions?

The atmosphere in the Stadiums is sad as always!

Commentary is same as in the Last 6 PES Games (thats Crap)

Menu Structure makes me sad...Dark Backgrounds, small Items at the Bottom!

The player Graphics are Fantastic, but every Detail looks sterile! Thats not Realistic.......!

About the Gameplay i wont say anything, i need 2 Months to see the whole Thing,

But i will say one Thing, if Konami or EA Thinks that only Realism will help this Game, they are on the Wrong Way. A Game has to Make Fun, to much Realism will Kill the series definitely.

Thats from me more in a few Days after doing Hardcore Playing as every Year!!!

Lol!

That pic is hilarious  I can imagine trying it out for a laugh and scoring an amazing goal, but the video of it looking stupid haha - professional players smashing a cushion into the net from 30 yards :LMAO:.

if you get a good pic i dont see why not:BOP:

You mean Godzilla's not available as one of the default backgrounds? That can't be right.

I mean, he's got the shark heads in, and cushion footballs, so Godzilla has got to be in. Might not buy this now :(

I bet you just walk in, nod to one another, at which point the shopkeeper presents a brown paper bag. "See you next year".

Wait for a DLC/patch, they probably will address that :P

EDIT: Just twitted Jon Murphy, he will let know the team :P

What ist this stupid thing about "stamina" in this years PES?

It decreases even if you do NOTHING in 90 Minutes.

That mean:
Play a game on lowest difficulty, take the ball and stand still, so the opposite team doesn't attack. Everyone on the field is standing still. Do the same in the second half and then have a look on your stamina around 80-90 minutes of game time. All staminabars are red, alltough none of the players hardly moved during the game.

Not very realistic in my eyes...

Hang on why on earth would you do that. I think the game is spiting you for stupidity.

Anyway I have learnt to conserve energy better mostly as a result of trying to keep D'Allesandro on the pitch as long as possible and it has worked so I can't understand why your players are getting tired if you not even moving...I smell bullshit.

I'm livid right now. Everyone knows :triangle: is the spiritual home of the through-ball, not this Fifa bastardisation that 'respected members' have been secretly using.

You couldn't have put it better. I can't believe my eyes that some Connoisseur have messing around with the wrong buttons
