PES 2011 Discussion thread

i thought that was snow at the beginning of goalgerd's video

curiously whatever happened to snow? does it not exist anymore so that is the reason why it has been missing from pes for so long

its rain,i think they snow will probably be back next year konami wanted to get the gameplay and animations sorted first then add all those little touches next year

I did like the idea of changing teams in ML a while ago but the more I think about it the more I dont like it.

Personally I get quite connected to my teams, I still reminisce about my PES5 Bristol City team that took 7 seasons to get promoted and then with the young group of players I had brought together went on to make history, Winning the Champions League 3 times in a row and 5 times in total. 2 undefeated Premier League seasons with 6 total PL titles. I think that ML lasted about 15 seasons and I felt part of the team. I also remember whilst walking the dog or in the shower doing interviews with the press in my head as the manager of the ML team :LMAO:

Sattan,henrys hand

My eye is watching the whole game, not just where the ball is and i see the danger and whats going to happen next early and react to it accordingly.Ive been playing footie games for twenty years and played alot of perfect striker/iss on the n64 which allowed you much more manual control like pes2011 does. Its just a case of understanding the game and giving it time.

So many people wanted something different, less cpu contrived and controlled and now they have it they dont want to learn to understand it and state its not the same as fifa and its broken.

Sorry, but in my book its lazyness and not trying, people dont want to be taken out of there pes or fifa comfort zone and learn to play a game differently that is much deeper and more rewarding when mastered.

Id be more worried if people were generally mastering the game by now and these constant gripes about the ai cement in my mind that konami have got it right.Im sick to death of playing against people that are shit at football games that get a leg up because the game balances out the weaknesses of there game, reactions and lack of a much deeper and profound football knowledge that trancends well beyond just kicking the ball from A TO B and in the back of the net.Konami said they were giving it back to the hardcore and thats what theyve done, fifa jocks and those that think they understand football need not apply.

Post of the Year nominee...

i blame the sega megadrive:JAY:

Yup, those a,b and c buttons are a killer.

And anyway i have played ISS,WE, PES for years and NEVER changed the buttons. That would be like trying to make a stepchild into your original childs mould!!

It's just wrong!!

Holy shit! Triangle to sprint? I can see we have pensioners on this website lol.

I imagine this is more for players that aren't heavily reliant on speed. I don't use the speed button much but do sometimes get it wrong when I sprint into the box and shoot before releasing the R1 button leading to and inaccurate shot. Triangle should stop you from doing this, but there is no way in hell I am going to change my configuration now after all the years of sprinting with R1.

I do tend to use the R1 a lot less on PES2011 only using it for open space or to bursting away from the opposition.

Has anyone else noted the stamina bar on the demo. It seems so last for a few seconds and recovers when you pass the ball. I haven't really tested it's depth yet.
One thing is for sure though. Stamina affects performance quite heavily in the demo. You can't sprint all match with the likes of Messi as he dwindles and his accuracy and balance is affected. I have also noticed that players become clumsier in the latter stages.

I'm not sure about this. I think the blue indicator (the glory) is only your color, what was before the color of the triangle above your player. The stamina indicator is shown under the blue indicator and only when you receive the pass and it disappears in 1-2 seconds quickly. I think it only disappears to be not there.. Welcome to KONAMILAND..

According to my experience the stamina bar's length is not changing only it's color is turning from green to red through yellow..

I haven't experienced any temporary stamina effect this year, though I think it was mentioned in the press release..

Anybody having a different experience?

In the demo the replay-camera was strangely on the ground and I couldn't find a way to bring it up like it was in former versions of PES, ie. free-flowing... Have I missed something and there was a way to do that? Or was that a demo-quirk? If so, how is it in full-version?

It is the same, I share your pain there, I loved the funcionality of putting up and down the cam... now feels so limited...

What ist this stupid thing about "stamina" in this years PES?

It decreases even if you do NOTHING in 90 Minutes.

That mean:
Play a game on lowest difficulty, take the ball and stand still, so the opposite team doesn't attack. Everyone on the field is standing still. Do the same in the second half and then have a look on your stamina around 80-90 minutes of game time. All staminabars are red, alltough none of the players hardly moved during the game.

Not very realistic in my eyes...

Have you turned radiation off in the stadium settings?

Classic Kev. :)

Lami, my buttons are exactly the same as yours, only I have swopped my through-ball to L1. So I'm slightly exonerated.

Very Funny! :))

I didn't want to play this way, but this means it isn't important whether I sprint a lot with my players or I try to safe stamina, because at the end of the game all players are exhausted even if i do nothing...

watching the spurs twente highlights now and they are using the new pes normal long camera in white hart lane

Its a horrible camera angle, don't know why they changed it from the high angle.

did you try playing ML with the konami standard players?!

After 45min I had to exchange 3 players! They were all red... After the break they had some breath again...till the 58min -.-

And the 2. game playing with the same players wasn't possible at all. red after 30min playing..

ARE YOU FKCING KIDDING ME?!
