PES 2011 Discussion thread

Does anyone know if in Master League, D2 is still a set league of those funny named teams?

Also, are you able to buy international players (not at club teams) this time?

D2 is still fake teams but it gets changed to Championship teams in option files.

Not sure on buying international players though.

I have not downloaded the Xbox 360 Demo this year, but last year forsure I thought the Xbox 360 version looked better than the PS3 version graphically. The PS3 seemed to have better lighting, but the Xbox version seemed more colourful and vibrant if that makes sense.

Anyway, I played a couple of games last night with Spain, my word, the football you can play with that team is very, very naughty indeed. Going from playing with lesser teams, to the greatest team in the world is a culture shock.

I made a video showcasing the subtle nature of the R2 Control. There are 3 examples, followed by a cheeky Square then R1 'mini dink' shot (Of which I hate the animation for by the way, why he doesnt scoop or 'clip it' I'll never know ) and a nice flick from Iniesta.

YouTube - R2 Control

Love the CC on 33 secs

For those with decent memories, are PES rosters always out of date when the game is released? I'm sure that it's been the case for years now (if not always) that on release day, there's loads of transfers not done?

Radiation

And thats what the xbox360 version has a smoothness that just isnt there in the ps3 version and its alot to do with the drops in framerate and general response of the game(you really notice it with the power bar),and for me is konami trying like a lot of developers do,which is,trying get a ram hungry game to run on hardware that needs its software to be specifically designed for its very different architecture and split ram.

I havent noticed the players running away from the ball bug, touchline bug or the horrible animation clipping that happens alot on the ps3,the defenders on the xbox360 always get tight or tackle and i cant fault the ai,its just so much more aware of whats happening around it.

There different,no doubt in my mind the ps3 struggles with pes2011.

Konami will never admit it,much like ea wont.

So how does the 360 version end up bug free if they go from pc to consoles?

PC demo & PS3 demo seem the same to me. I see the same bugs and little things here and there... the only difference is the player spinning on the pc and the graphical difference. But you're saying the 360 has loads of bug, animation and AI changes/fixes?

Seems strange.

Always out of date Dags, some quite criminally. It wouldnt suprise me if you found Tony Adams still in the Arsenal squad. :CONFUSE:

I've always known PES to be like that, yeah. Never bothers me and I know it doesn't with a lot of people, in fact I admit to the odd twitch down in the trousers when I've sorted the last transfer needed to be done in Edit mode.

Crazy, I mean it's not like it's too much effort for Konami to go into the editor and move the players.

One other question about transfers, but this is down to preference. Players who are on loan in real life, do you transfer them in PES? That means that they're at that club in the ML and can be bought/sold. Never really sure what I prefer to do with loans.

Are any of them supposed to be real teams (unlicensed), or are they pure nonsense clubs?

I'm imagine other option files will change them to 'other' teams too. Championship is only good if you're playing an English ML i guess.

Nah, they're just fake teams and fake players, I'm sure.

I normally edit loans yea - especially now days where players move on season long loans.

YES! Gallas is still in the Arsenal squad

and i bet Henry is still at Barca :LMAO: Still a patch will sort it out anyway :))

With most multiplatform-games, the PS3-version looks less vibrant and paler than the xbox360-version, but this is only due to wrong settings for the PS3 regarding HDMI:

If you set HDMI-output on "RGB full" you will get the same or even more vibrant colors than the xbox360-version!

I dont bother, the bottomline is if you want to sign that player, you need to thrash it out with the club that owns him anyway.

Prof,

There are usually plenty of option files created that offer Italian and Spanish 2nd Division teams, just in case you fancy starting an ML in any country bar England.

Nice tip, thanks, I will give that a whirl. :)

The German second divisions seem to be the most common in patches, the Italian ones are around aswell.

Spanish second division only seems to be available in the Spanish speaking communities though!

Hey Klash....
There are a lot less fouls in the full game, it is incredible and let the game flows better but at the same time makes the marking/taking the ball easier...

I told you guys that the WE demo had less fouls but I am not too perturbed by it. There are still the niggly fouls but not to the point where it's a stop start fiasco as is the case with the PES demo and I mean from the CPU as I have it pretty much nailed down.

OT I still feel bad for not letting you download my code....

Let me know if I am missing something. During normal play there is no way to aim on shots on goal correct?
Can you apply backspin on lofted through balls? Thought I read somewhere that you could but I think someone said there was no way to do this.
Having problems defending corners. Game seems to like to switch players on me leaving me helpless. I am playing on semi assisted. I would like an option for full manual switching for defense that would be nice. So is there a way to gain control on the keeper on corners so that he will make an attempt at a catch or at least a parry? I know how to gain control of the goalie on a breakaway but haven't been able to on corners or crosses into the box.

Can you still not move clubs in ML?

Wouldnt have thought so.

For those talking about transfers etc, you know there is an official update launching within the first week or two with the up-to-date transfers, new kits and new boots?

Un-official patches will be out day 1 no doubt.

The US PSN has a new PES demo out, I thought I would try it as there was a vast difference between the EU & US 2010 demo and sure enough it is different. Only had a quick go but the pace is slower and from what I remember of the WE demo it may even be slower than that, the player control feels better and the passing and ball movement is also slower. Is this is same as the final game I wonder?

Jon Murphy reckons two weeks for an update, too long for me though

No, it defeats the purpose of ML for me. I'm sure any ML fanatic would testify it's the last thing you would want to do. Those are your boys, you have built them from scratch. Spend 10-15 seasons, win what you can then start again in a different league. By that point the realism of relevant players has gone anyway for me.

Edit- I would love the ability to coach a National side in the close season major tournaments though subject to management performance.

I see your point, but I also enjoy the idea of performing well at a small club and being offered a job at a bigger club. Same idea as BAL really.

But then in saying that, ML with only two divisions doesn't leave too much scope for moving much higher than your club whereas in FIFA there's quite a few leagues and tons more teams.
