PES 2011 Discussion thread

Have you tried assigning stadiums to teams Dags? To confirm Putuco Malo's post that is.

Hummm... not sure why I would lie about it. i would do a video but too much hassle.

After 4 games in the full game (X360 version) I feel this is a more polished version. However about the fouls issue, I feel them in the other side: when at the demo there was a lot of fouls for charging with X button, now they are almost non-existant, something that I feel it is a bit unrealistic. Not a gamebreaker at all, matter of taste I guess.

EDIT: About the two kicks free kicks (with L1 + R1) I absolutely HATE when people do that and the guys at the barrier just look that. In real life those free kicks are successful only a few times so I am all in for that.

Something that I have noticed, also, is that the game is a bit slower compared with the demo, but that however can be the team I was using (2 times Milan, 2 times Tottenham).

Poor Gattuso, what have done the guy to deserve so poor stats... fair enough, he is not the one from 4-5 years ago, but now he is a piece of shit! Nesta with greens in stamina and speed... please! Borriello with 80 shot accuracy, simply ridiculous...

I agree, though, with the 95 shot accuracy for Milito.

Didn't mean it that way Putuco, I apologize if that how it sounded like. I meant since you confirmed it's in, and I was pretty sure it was, was asking Dags to make sure himself since he was pretty positive it wasn't working with him. That's all.

I guess he was not sure about it because you dont need to press a button to change/select a stadium. You just enter the stadia option, select the arena you want and then circle/A to go back... if you enter again the stadium you selected is still there...

lons_pl, for me Xbox360 looks better than PS3 demo, but that could be because graphics have been toned down in the demo, AFAIK.

Do you see the created stadiums when choosing a stadium in exhibition mode?

Yes, my created one is there...

Balls in the game (besides Konami's plain/WE 2002/etc)

Adidas F50 Top X-ite
AdiPure 2010
Nike Total 90 Tracer
Nike Total 90 Tracer Hi-Vis
Puma Powercat 1.10 Statement
Puma King XL
Umbro Neo Pro Football

Obviously in the PES Shop is the cushion, barrel and stuff :D

Also in UCL mode there is the finale, an orange UCL ball and another one (probably the option for random)

And not sure if anyone asked about stadium list, it is here:

Old Trafford
Wembley Stadium
Rose Park Stadium
Bristol Mary Stadium
Camp Nou
Santiago Bernabeu
Estadio Del Nuevo Triunfo
Stade Louis II
Stade de Sagittaire
San Siro
Giuseppe Meazza
Stadio Olimpico
Stadio Orione
Estadio Do Dragao
Estadio Jose Alvalade
Estadio Da Luz
Amsterdam Arena
Ville Marie Stadium
Estadio de Escorpiao
Estadio Amazonas
El Monumental
Estadio de Palenque
Saitama Stadium 2002
Konami Stadium
Mohamed Lewis Stadium

If you think that's bad, look at the stats for Zanetti.

i can comfortably say that pes is what i'd consider real football, i was watching some of the ajax and milan game and alot reminded me of pes and i get that feeling once i play it, i have that lets have another game feeling and thats only with the demo so when the game does come out, i expect nothing less than insomnia.

I think the demo was almost on spot as far as fouls go. It used to be almost like Fifa, in that you could tackle as much as you wanted and bad timing/position rarely resulted in fouls; they should have toned them a bit form the demo, but not too much.

Can anyone else confirm or deny this information?

Read again my post, the frequency of fouls in the full game is a lot less than the demo...

Basically the tackle system is the same but the soft fouls (nudges etc..) aren't give. It still takes still to tackle just your allowed to use your strength a bit more. It's better since it's a little easier to get the football to flow! The high foul count should still be possible just not in every game like the demo

Hey Klash....
There are a lot less fouls in the full game, it is incredible and let the game flows better but at the same time makes the marking/taking the ball easier...

Yes, there a video here:
YouTube - PES 2011 Full Retail Version HD ( Italian language )

Lot's more tussles, natural looking ones which weren't possible in the demo. Like i said before i was able to beat players against my mates but far too often they almost 'got away with it' by fouling me. Not even on purpose but people with ability were getting canceled bout a bit too much!

Just want to clarify, now that I have a PES 2011 version for Xbox360, that you INDEED can create stadiums and assignate them to Copa Libertadores team or even unlicensed teams. Just choose them and back, the selection will be stored.
Tested myself personally, not sure if this have been discussed in the last 8 pages :P

Polter2K, si se puede poner los estadios creados en los equipos sin licencia e incluso en los de la Copa Libertadores!

Gracias Putuco... perfecto!!! ya me extrañaba que no se pudiera hacer..!!!

Question for the people saying that there are less fouls in the full game. Do you mean, like in the demo, the cpu is constantly sticking a leg in from behind but now its not given as a foul, or is the cpu just not constantly sticking a leg in anymore?
That is one of the things that annoys me about the demo, the cheap way the cpu always breaks up your play, I hope it is different in the full game.

I've not checked whether the CPU is still actually making the minor tackles or whether it's actually stopped, but the fouls are down either way. If I remember rightly, it's the same as PES 2010 was, maybe a little more fouls?

I downloaded the pes2011 demo for the xbox360 yesterday and its almost like a different game compared to the ps3,and im not just talking about graphics or smoothnesss.

The xbox360 version doesnt have the bugs or animation glitches of the ps3 version is much more responsive and the ai is much more reactive/attacking even when i play bayern in there default presets.

I was shocked and suprised and this just goes to show pes is now a game developed on pcs thats ideally suited for the scaling down to the xbox360 which has a similiar architecture. When it comes to the ps3 konami are struggling with the split ram and it shows as this has been a common theme since pes2008.

Im going xbox360 this year, screw the update issues id rather have a game thats running properly and this shows its just not ea with fifa struggling with the ps3.

This isnt a placebo thing, theres big differences.

I'm playing PC and PS3 demos back to back and not spotting any difference between the two myself. same bugs, weird little things here and there. PC one does look gorgeous though even on medium settings and has this smooth next gen feel to it that the PS3 just doesn't have.

But I've not seen any on the pitch differences at all.

Edit
I just remembered something. On the pc there is a bug that I've never seen on the PS3. Players spinning around on the spot as the chase after a ball. So they'll be facing the ball, the ball goes past them, the game then starts to make the player auto ran after the ball backwards and then they will spin on the spot gliding as they do and start to give chase.

Edit
found a video showing the spinning thing

And thats what the xbox360 version has a smoothness that just isnt there in the ps3 version and its alot to do with the drops in framerate and general response of the game(you really notice it with the power bar),and for me is konami trying like a lot of developers do,which is,trying get a ram hungry game to run on hardware that needs its software to be specifically designed for its very different architecture and split ram.

I havent noticed the players running away from the ball bug, touchline bug or the horrible animation clipping that happens alot on the ps3,the defenders on the xbox360 always get tight or tackle and i cant fault the ai,its just so much more aware of whats happening around it.

There different,no doubt in my mind the ps3 struggles with pes2011.

Konami will never admit it,much like ea wont.

I have not downloaded the Xbox 360 Demo this year, but last year forsure I thought the Xbox 360 version looked better than the PS3 version graphically. The PS3 seemed to have better lighting, but the Xbox version seemed more colourful and vibrant if that makes sense.

Anyway, I played a couple of games last night with Spain, my word, the football you can play with that team is very, very naughty indeed. Going from playing with lesser teams, to the greatest team in the world is a culture shock.

I made a video showcasing the subtle nature of the R2 Control. There are 3 examples, followed by a cheeky Square then R1 'mini dink' shot (Of which I hate the animation for by the way, why he doesnt scoop or 'clip it' I'll never know ) and a nice flick from Iniesta.
