whast the PS3 patch 1.10 for????

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

Being pes 2009 only slightly different from pes 2008 means clearly, that konami haven't understood how unbalanced and bad the gameplay was.

They hardly changed anything gameplay wise.

Actually they never admitted, that pes 2008 was bad gameplaywise.

They only admitted lag problem and frame rate issues..

Never mentioned stupid animations, keepers, goal nets... etc

They are going in the wrong direction, but some of the fans haven't realise yet..

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

does anybody know how to change camera type in on-line game? and how can I go into formations during match?

Expect the review to hit in the coming days, you can thank the delay of the update for that. Same with the upcoming OF, you can expect that to hit NEXT weekend (25/26th Oct). That because of the update, and the fact all squad data will be erased after the update. So no chance of Bundesliga for another 3 weeks I’m afraid

But alas, some pics of the OF coming up within the next hour.

Fuckin OF delayed!

Is that what you've edited, or is there an OF out already?

and is online still borked today?

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

HAVE YOU ALREADY ASKED YOURSELVES WHY THE COMMENTARY CAN'T SAY THE NAME OF THE TEAMS (AT LEAST THE NAME OF THE FULLY LICENSED TEAMS)?

KONAMI! WHY?

IT WAS LAST TIME IN PES5! WHY HAVE YOU REMOVED IT?

Hang on, the updates wipe your OF's? so everything we do now is shat down a toilet when the big update hits ?

why and how ?

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

Well It looks like having to wait till the 30th for PES to get released in Australia might not be so bad with all these updates and option files getting delayed

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

Those bugs in the BAP-mode; are they on the PC only or are there reports from similar bugs in one of the consoles as well?

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

Boots are nice,it's better than 2008,crowd atmopsphere at wembley seems intense. Not all kits are licenced in champions league.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

It's certainly alot slower than previous PES games. One thing ive noticed is passing is essential to winning, where as in 2008 you could go on joy runs with the world class players and just stroll through defences. Whether this change is for the better or for the worse.. I do not yet know.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

Played 3 games,not overly impressed,they haven't added much.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

But i must say the passing with the right anolog stick is cracking, plus a few good keeper animations.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

Wangled a day working from home so I'm going to get a few hours in now.

My last PES was 6 so I'm not sure how much is new, but I'm loving the L1 chip, really smoothly done. I stopped using it in the old PES because it looked so shite.

Some tiny little trapping animations have impressed me too - didn't see them on the demo. Might just be me talking out of my arse, but it feels a lot slicker than the demo.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

Ohhh I like the sound of 'Theatre of Legends' -
which allows users to upload replay data for friends to view, and to view those of others.

But I'm not happy about this update that might screw the option files up.

I found this
"To reiterate what a couple of people have also said, I would guess (or at least hope) that this update won't negatively affect people's option files. The update will obviously be some sort of downloadable patch which changes some of the game's DEFAULT data. Your option file would only come into effect AFTER the default data, if that makes sense - basically your edited option file should affect the update, not the other way round. I'll try and explain a couple of examples:

If on your option file, you leave Berbatov at Tottenham then you're not changing the default data. So when the update comes out with transfers etc, they'll have moved Berbatov to Man Utd in the default data, so he'll be there in game. If, however, you've already transferred him to Man Utd in your option file then that will supercede whatever's in the update anyway - hope that makes sense.

If we think about the 4 new licensed Spanish teams it gets a bit more tricky. What if on your option file you've already edited the name, emblem and kits for these teams? Well I think that in the update, by default obviously these teams will then have licensed badge and kits and this will overwrite and 'lock out' the editing you've done on those teams. The edited data will probably still be in your option file but the data in the update will make these teams licensed and 'locked'.

There's also a potential issue with created players. The update may contain new players so for example in your option file if you create Gudjohnsen in the created players section then transfer him to Barca, when the update comes out Konami may have themselves created and registered Gudjohnsen into their default data, meaning that when you load your option file you have 2 Gudjohnsens! For this reason I'd suggest not creating any new players until the update. "

But that doesn't mean it 100% won't revert all of our data to default data. So i'm going to leave buying this until the update and complete option files are released. As much as I enjoy editing the kits myself I only really use the editor to make my own master league team - the rest of the prem teams i know will be done pixel perfect or near as possible by someone with more time and dedication. And then you have the people who will update boots and all the tiny details that id over look which are nice to get as well.

I dont think the update will effect the option files too much. I agree its not worth doing an OF NOW until the update is out (which is what WENB are doing now I believe).

But the DEFAULT DATA is there if you do not load an option file. When the game starts and YOUR 'OF' loads, it will replace the default data.

I'm confident (with my understanding) that it will be fine, but I'm still not wasting any time editing until after the patch is out to be sure!

I'll just mess around with BAL for now.

Tried an online BAL last night (one guy on my side had bright green pig-tails?!) but it crashed out about 10 mins into the game - but before then, it seemed pretty cool with the scoring etc. Can see that being really fun.

Anyone else tried the BAL online yet?

(I've just made the reserve A-Team squad in my 'test' BAL game - the bench beckons!)

I'm really looking forward to it, actually.

I don't know if there's some sort of consequence for playing it online, or if it's just fun, but I'll try it anyway... Is the formation automatically set?

Oh, and what's the "scout" thingie? I read about it in the BAL mode, but I really, REALLY didn't get it... You pick a player for the CPU to play as?... A player from where?

Cheers guys! Loving the amount of fuzzy warm feelings that this PES release s getting around the community.

Paulo Tavares

P.S. - Would any of you guys mind if I added a couple of you to PSN next week, for us to play some Legends sometime? :)

Ah man, let it go. PES and FIFA players both run like hyperspeed chickens - not much we can do...

PES running animations have never tickled me before. It's very noticeable now in next-gen 2009 however. I have no doubt it will be improved/different in 2010.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

This game depends strongly on the champions league, the ball sounds when kicking are naff, but playing as Zenit really makes this game playable for me,we all know how dire 2008 was i really think the next one will be the edition we've all prayed for.And Wales are in it.
