Had a quick go
ok i just played my first online match and it was 100% lag free, felt just like a offline match and it was great
I was having a nightmare with online to be honest. Every time I played the connections was yellow vs yellow or yellow vs red. No green at all. It was better than 2008 but not upto the levels of PES6 online (which was by no means perfect itself). I hope that Seabass puts his bong down long enough to make online top priority as per his interview this week or "I predict a riot"
Had a couple of fun matches with Pompey online though. Defoe and Crouch are great fun to work with.
My other big gripe online is the bloody generic kits you are forced to used - bloody awful. "Tyneside" are all black (no stripes), Atl Madrid are all dark green??? Why on earth do Konami make no effort to make the unlicensed teams at least look close (without emblems and logos). I managed to do it in about 20 minutes. I know a transfer patch is in the offing but I would be even more chuffed if Konami spent 20 minutes on doing this as well.
EDIT: I have just booted the game up and it is downloading an update.....
PES2009 for £27 from Asda. Goes onsale at midnight!
i too enjoyed the demo actually but i may get this on the pc though, the mods will make this game brillient but just need a firm confirmation that the online has been fixed.PS3:
I played one online game and I assume I was the client, the lag was there and it didn't feel like an offline game at all. On the plus side it wasn't as bad as last year. The servers were pretty full though...
Some old twats on there, he choose Man U so I thought I would go with Everton to spice it up a bit and then at the last minute he changed to Inter Milan. Only lost 2-3 though with the little bits of lag.
Would rather play mates online tbh.
As for the game it is an improvement on 2008 in all aspects but its not a massive leap forward by any means but at least its going in the right direction. If you liked the demo then you will like it. My main disappointment was online, but other than that it was fun and I will be on again later to test it again.
Hi for those people with the game already. On BAL, how do you get the score to appear on the right hand side? Also do you get clues that tell you you are running out of position, poor pass etc?
Niiiiice...
I reckon (if someone had the time/patience) you could get the dots on by putting them on the sponsor graphic?
Great effort though, be looking to re-create that today
Sound: 8.6 - The sound does let the game down slightly thanks to the poor crowd effects.
Once onto the pitch, Pro Evo certainly plays a more patient game of football than FIFA, in fact I would go as far to say that it is more realistic when compared to real football than EA’s approach
after playin it a few time...i cant really give it a rating jus yet but this is feeling worse to pes 2008...hope my mind changes after some more games...
