I don't think there is an auto feint, probably a case of getting used to the tricks being on the left stick/keyboard

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

Radiation - All the files are saved in your PES game save folder so the option file stays the same and the images are saved/converted into separate pes style files e.g. uniform001. Therefore no need to keep the original images as they get converted anyways.

As far as loading images is concerned you just load them from your image folder on your PS3 e.g. stick the image in a 'PHOTO' folder on your mem stick/USB pen then copy them over to your PS3. They've made it nice and easy this year.

So hopefully we'll get some PS3 save files with the in game teams modded up and then we can add face packs and our own teams as and when we want.

-

It would be cool if over the next few years they open up ad boards and replay logos and stuff for us to mod and in the end offer us a fully modifiable footie game.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

Apparently you can import up to 400 Faces, 200 jersey-logos and 40 badges/emblems.

Creating kits is the same as it was usually, there are only a certain number of templates though and you can pretty much make all the popular designs. Sounds like Southend have a tricky kit but I'm sure you could make the majority of it by just trying different combos. Some are glaringly obvious though like the design of last years Chelsea away kit.

Do you want me to have a crack at a Southend template for you pbb?

Cool, yea - think there is a few SUFC fans on here that would like to see it. Kenny said he has had a go and its not come out too bad, so perhaps he'll post his effort in here :)

So with 200 jersey logos, you could easily create the championship/league 1 with the way you have done it?

Thank fuck Konami, you have done something right!

You know, thats not a bad idea. If they dumped ALL licenses and spent the money on a mega edit mode - and then the community could make the game THEY wanted (i.e. world teams, english teams etc) - beef up the ML so you could create your own divisions and if they kept the gameplay decent it would stand alone from FIFA as something different.

At the moment, I think Konami should give up trying to compete with FIFA as they dont have the resources, stick to what they are good at (gameplay) and give us full control on the editing.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

I hope the WENB option file has the classics unlocked

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

Is it like iast year when you want to save highlights replays you just hve 20 places ?

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

I'd rather have the Master League structure unlocked. Thats better so you can make whatever leagues you want for the ML, rather than the game deciding for you.

Silly to make that feature an unlock, but there ya go!

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

ok i just tested the full game...
is it me or we cant see the untucked shirts from the wide or tele camera?? only on close ups and cut scenes...
i did test it properly, i went on a replay, looked for a player that had a untucked shirt at that moment and tha set on wide camera, u couldnt notice it.. :(

pc version with high detail settings i played...

alos, why did konami took the low socks out of the game? and why does every player have a Tevez like body shape whith those huge shorts??? players like crouch , fellaini, gerrard, kaka, look totally off with that body shape(i tried to edit the bodies, didnt help those shorts are huuuge!)

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

After playing some games of the final pc version (and a lot in the demo):

Game better (slightly?) than pes 2008.
Game is way worse than pes 6. I'm absolutely sure you will realize this soon.

Some findings regarding pes 2009.

1. I have found a really annoying bug: If you change sides between your 2 forwards for example, they will change it only after ball goes out of the pitch. Like making substitutions. Really annoying, if the ball remains on the pitch, your players won't change sides. I checked pes 5,6, player change sides during action.

2. I have won all my games till now on top player. Ok I was playing barca, but it never happened in pes6 with the same teems.

3. they removed keeper cursor, ADVANTAGE RULE ..

4. Shooting is way too easy, almost every time if I want, I can hit the goal :(

5. Keeper hardly catch any ball, they won't perry it to the opposition, but cannot hold the ball at all...

6. Really easy to go through defenders with good forwards

7. Rain looks good, but I haven't noticed any other influence on the gameplay. Thanks KONAMI ...

8. The awful sound of the ball is still there

9. Defenders are running out of position constantly, really easy to go behind them with a L1+through ball shot.

10. Fatigue system is broken again.. Like in Pes 2008. Pes6 was perfect in this.

11. Referees are really bad again. Worse than Pes5. Again here Pes6 was perfectly balanced (for me)-

12. Shooting and passing is more automated then ever. I don't feel, that I'm in control of the action.

13. Penalty glitch is still there, Shot low and middle, always score. It was already in Pes6. It killed the enjoyment of the shoot outs.

14. Scoring along a keeper with gardening gloves in fishing nets is really pleasing.

15. Should I continue with lack of licenses, bad roosters, 4 licensed balls, 7!!! Konami balls, removed control abilities for special moves, no mp3 playlist for pc, and xbox 360.

16. I'm absolutely sure, that online will be broken too.

PLEASE LET US KNOW YOUR OPINION! I'M RIGHT or I'M TOO BLIND TO SEE THE GREATNESS OF THE GAME.

I WAS SO EXCITED WITH PES5 and PES6 (I started my PES career with them), after pes6 I was hyped and got disappointed second year in a row..

I will check the ps2 versions of pes2009. Maybe. If not I will stick with pes6..

I love the Home kit by the way.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

Do you have to make the kit images that large? Is there a specific size you have to do them at? Not that they're overly large but im just wondering how you know where everything goes before putting them into the game. does it let you move and stretch the image onto the shirt?

Yeah you stretch it down to fit. Those pics are the maximum size you can import into PES. So by using the maximum size you have the best quality going in even if it gets reduced in-game.

bad roosters, i mean first they take the away the ability to mix and match kits and then untuck shirts, and now they don't even update the roosters that's it im buying fifa this year. :APPLAUD:

I haven't played PES2009 yet, but it wouldn't suprise me if there was an auto-feint in the game, as PES2008 had an annoying auto-stop turn that happened every time when you passed the ball to a team mate.

our problem is evan worst m8...
the untucked shirts dont appear in the wide camera...i mean u can go to replay, in the close up camera, look for a player that had his shirt untucked, now swicth to the wide(playing) camera...u will not see the untucked shirt...the LOD is totally fucked up.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

You're complaining about not seeing untucked shirts on the wide camera angle?

That's like complaining that you can't see the second hand on your watch when it's 30 feet away from you.

Priorities folks, untucked shirts mean fuck all in the bigger picture.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

ok i just played my first online match and it was 100% lag free, felt just like a offline match and it was great ;)

ya get me blud!!!! lol

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

Reading comments from people who have the game, it seems the online game have 1 player as the host and the other(s) as client(s). That would mean playing the same match, one side may think it's as good as offline while the other side is experiencing lag. In another forum, someone specifically said an online match was perfectly smooth for him but his opponent appeared to be suffering from horrendous lag.

So, people trying to test the online lag may need to bear this in mind.

if u've got an ATI card(if not then just ignore this, or search a way to modify LOD with nvidia, i haven't got a clue), search for ATI Tray Tools and follow the instructions for installing it. Or if u beg me(lol kidding) I could just post it here if you want.

Once installed, go to Direct3d settings, search for LOD distance in one of the tabs, set it to more than negative -3 at least.
By doing that this, it modifies the LOD level for every game that uses D3D(like PES). Even the grass looks better when u play in wide cam(but it looks a bit weird in close-up cutscenes/replays)

You can also create a game profile via Ati Tray tools for a specific game(in this case PES, if u don't want it to bother other game settings).

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

I have now the PC version and it is really good. Game is hard, I got owned with my beloved AC Milan by Juventus two times l0l...

The game feels so different compared with PS3 version. I guess it is the main difference between demo and final version? Who knows...

brunonce, what about an opinion of something that matters... like, err, hmmm.... gameplay? :APPLAUD:
