Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

Are the classic Squads still the same? Are their names real or fake still? I hope they haven't removed any players this time

Just play it and forget the England game.. they are shit anyway..

Ye sack it off. Intentional footy is poo

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

Tell you what would be good..

A page with a list of all the changes from PES 2008 to PES 2009..

Its hard to find info about the game..

I dont particularly wana read over 8000 posts for just bits and bobs..

If sum1 with could do that.. that would be cool

PEACE!

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

We don't bother anymore, it's tilting at windmills. This thread will be closed in two days anyway, after that it's way easier to manage single threads compared to a huge one filled with freakin' everything like this.

Have to say I was quite surprised you went with the "one thread" route on this, it's been a pain to keep up with and there is loads of repetition from people not being bothered to check previous posts (not to mention being a bit of a magnet for the fanboys) - it might have happened less if there had been separate threads whenever there was a new news item.

But whatever, that's up to you guys - it's just been nice to have a PES game worth discussing on here again. :)

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

my play.com pc pre-order status says posted. i hope it arrives tommorow or thursday.

Long live pro evo 2009. i have never complained on pro evo games. They are too good. If pro wasn't made we had to play fifa thank God that they made pro series. so what it has small bugs. Please don't fight here just enjoy the positive sides of the game. I am not even bother about online mode or be a legend as long gameplay is better that all counts. Peace.

See, now THAT'S the kind of blinkered PES fanboyism that's worth criticising for perpetuating barely different past-gen games. THERE'S your "I'll buy it anyway" mentality.

Sheesh, I wish we'd had this kind of example when all the FIFA jumpers were banging on about people who like 2009 but were critical of 2008 being fanboys... there is a difference !

And to be fair, if he's happy with it, all credit to him.

@saintscott agreed. It was hard to remain objective and try and keep it on the straight and narrow. Such is the nature of the battle that takes place every year though.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

I am done with Fifa for now. It seems to be a trend to slate PES, and granted, it has its flaws. But I have heard lotsa ppl talking bout the other game as if it were footie walhalla. It's not. It is bug riddin too, and even though it has everything going for it, it just doesnt have what it takes to play hours on end for me personally.

had the same with that game, the second time i played it for hours it really began to bug me... (for somewhat the same reasons)

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

I saw a Sparta Prague v Man Utd video with the same problem - Sparta's red/white halves with white shorts and socks versus Man U either in red/white/black or white/blue/white !

Hopefully we'll get some DLC shirts and maybe even new shirt templates as well transfers and hopefully boots, but I'm not holding my breath.

i think someone already said this here, the servers won't be fully operational untill the 16th (if i'm not mistaken) of this month. You could get thrown off without warning they also said.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

the game is out in here (Kuwait)
but the price is way too much
around 100 euros (not 100%)
I just said no and will wait for tommorow which will be around 40 euros (just like any normal game :) )

if i understand you, you're saying in the video they still had for example diff colour of shorts. With monaco-psv both of the teams looked completely white in the back of the players (front had some red in it for monaco's shirt), so both had white shorts, just another style/colour at the number and maybea a bit different socks (dunno for sure it's been a while), but i cursed hard about it, cuzz adding this option that was already present on previous versions can't be that hard and would solve it totally, this really sucked cuzz that team was in my masterleague and it just wouldn't relegate (got close to it although)

Game is already avaiable here in Portugal in any known gameshop, for PS3 and PC. Didn´t see any xbox version though.

Anyone want to play with me to test the online mode 2vs2? I have 24h to try the game. PS3 version plz.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

2 questions:

1) Have any of you tried the dinal rls of the game (PS3 or 360)? Impressions?

2) Is the game out in Italy anywhere?

Thanks!

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

Is the UK RRP £50? noticed on Amazon, Game, Play etc they are selling it for £40 but they say the RRP is £50 so I wonder if that will be price on the high st! I'll obviously buy it regardless though!

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

Ive spoke to the staff at Zavvi, Game and Gamestation.. and they all said that the price will 'proberbly' be cheaper than the RRP.. They said they wont know till Thursday night for defo tho..

I rekon it will be £35/40..

But my mate rekonz it will be cheaper in Tesco..

Hope that info is useful?

PEACE!

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

Look up any recent game, Amazon claims every game has a RRP of £49.99. It's just their marketing thing to make you feel like you've done well.

I bet it'll be £40 in Zavvi/Gamestation etc.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA TALK OR POLITICAL CHAT)

I'm playing the game on the X360 system at the moment. The first impressions are very good :) Definitely, I like this one.For me Pes2009 is much better than Pes2008.
