Ok..game received , shops started selling the game earlier that its release date so every one is trying to give some goodies with the game, i've got a PES2009 t-shirt and some key-ring.

Still haven't played the game , cuz i had to get back to the office.GRRR
If i knew i would take a half day.....but ok.

Lucky git lol.....it now says on their site that they're 'due stock in' which means they're probably out of stock.

At 32.99 im sure this is definitely the cheapest.

I 'pre-ordered' mine this morning, and it's already gone to order status - i've not used shopto before so i'm not sure what this means exactly, but i'm hopeful of getting the game this week...:)

Well , I am unable to play that legend mode on PC version, game still crasheh after some matches, started 3rd try to play BAL and again crash in week 10.

Saw the video on youtube, to me it looks like your PC version is a BETA that has leaked onto the net and not retail???

Jesus christ stop that nonsense with beta, its both from official shop, official game, , they unpacked it in front of me and checked DVD, standart original packed game , omg.

There is no such thing as a leaked PES 09 BETA. What you saw is the full, final game, and it is looking like a BETA version right? :LOL:

Instead of acting like a wise cracker, what he's referring to is the absence of official sponsor logos on replays and other screens. Nonetheless, this also happened last year, it appears that the logos are downloaded from a server, so that they can be changed regularly.

I'd rather believe what I've seen and played with my own eyes and frankly am now quite bored of people telling me what I should think of it now, especially in here.

And even the guy that's replied to him has said "Demo doesn't reflect actual game", when actually plenty of well-informed people have said they're identical, and Polakis has even said himself that he has THE GAME not the demo anyway.

Besides, I'm SHOCKED that Polakis didn't just say
"Game is awesome/crap, AEK are in/out !!!" which was a summary of every post he made from 2002 until 2005 anyway. ;)

Can't argue with your opinion of PES2008, what I don't agree with is that it's got anything to do with PES2009. This just underlines my belief that people are still complaining about last year's game rather than actually bothering to play this one much.

I guess a photo of the packaging with a random piece of fruit alongside it would verify your legitimacy, not that I'm doubting you, but it would dispell the cynics.

Or maybe a photo of you holding the game, with a sign saying "Will Suck Monkeys For PES" ? :D

Boys and girls,

the good thing is that this years release is fully customized.
You can edit shirts, insert logos, chants, mp3s.... what else do you need?
A good game right? Well Stop crying and just play the game first.

Looking forward to an Option file now....

The 'other' game has been annoying me recently so I put the PES09 demo on about 30 mins ago and had loads of fun. I'm very close to trading one for the other now - i can't keep 2 footie games as i'd just get confused with how they play. I cant do any tricks on PES other than the step over... ive totally forgot how they're all done... and i keep using the right anologue stick and end up kicking the ball off for throw ins :(

I scored a scorcher of a long ranger after crossing a ball from the wing and a defender heading the ball away. Scholes came from midfield and on the half volley smacked the ball into the nets. I just can not get crosses like this on the 'other' nor hit shots on the volley without my players taking 2 or 3 extra touches.

2 questions.

* That we know of... can we edit kits and players and teams as much as we used to or it is limited?

* Will the game offer trophies?

Its is limited to slots but this year we have plenty of them.

I think it offers trophies too.

Speaking of proving my point - look how much better the Newcastle and Sunderland kits look with the proper numbers on them compared to the other PESFan shots

If I was being hypercritical I'd be picking up on the Northern Rock logo poking out into the white stripes but that can't be too easy to fit inside the stripes (I think the template has the positioning of the black lines a little off). The Sunderland shirt is absolutely spot on, right down to the perfect collar.

What's already winding me up is the lack of accurate 2008/9 Umbro shorts templates though...

...also some issues mentioned with the Arsenal kit and Bolton kits though. I suspect that white/double dark red trim sleeve and shoulder stripe thing is the problem for Arsenal, and you can't draw on the sleeves or shoulders.

Well, I'll find out on Friday.

Nope, he doesn't have a point, i just call that an opinion. He should have made his mind playing the demo instead of buying the game...

(offtopic: let him enjoy the other game that also contains stupid running and lots of other annoying things. I've played it for hours with a mate that bought it and it's just not so good as many are saying! Not that it's utter shite but it's just not that "perfect" as lots of people think it is...)

Hey Rad.

Glad its not just me that got annoyed with the 'other' game and wont be keeping both.

As far as *I* know, there are no trophies in PES - but I may be confused with TOG. I certainly havent seen the Trophy List anywhere.

EDIT: apparantly trophies ARE confirmed - but nobody is sure whether they are on the disc, or being patched in later...

With editing, its tonnes of slots - enough to make most of the missing clubs and more - plus loads of slots for chants, logos, faces (USB photos) etc.

All I care about is the premiership teams so sounds like enough slots to sort those out.

I miss being able to edit my footie games and add in new bits every few weeks. And at least this way i wont have to burn another dvd off every few weeks.

Not sure if i'll pick this up on friday - more likely to get it a few weeks after... im going to give 'the other' game a chance and see what the patch does to fix the problems and then see what people think here and what features the game offers.

I am done with Fifa for now. It seems to be a trend to slate PES, and granted, it has its flaws. But I have heard lotsa ppl talking bout the other game as if it were footie walhalla. It's not. It is bug riddin too, and even though it has everything going for it, it just doesnt have what it takes to play hours on end for me personally.

Sendit.com changed the status of my order to "Awaiting dispatch" but the estimated date is still 17/10/2008 damn...

Hope they can rush the order...
